Doomsday evolved intelligence
Doomsday's appearance has changed once again after its third resurrection.
It was missing two arms, but had many more eyes, starting with the two main eyes on the front and extending around the head, making it terrifying to look at.
The monster's skin had lost its mucus and all its bony protrusions, but it now had a thick layer of scales, each with a complex structure.
These scales were what blocked Wonder Woman's Godkiller earlier.
Moreover, the scales weren't fully developed back then, so their defenses are definitely much stronger now.
In addition to scales, Doomsday also had a large number of bone spurs growing around its neck, which combined to form a structure similar to a neck armor, protecting its relatively vulnerable neck very well.
But overall, the biggest change is the complete transformation of her body shape.
Doomsday's original plump and rounded shape completely disappeared, and it became a strong, muscular Korea with a pair of long, curved legs resembling wolf legs, which were even more inhuman in structure.
The resurrected Doomsday opened its mouth, exhaled a thick, foul breath, and then vanished in the next moment.
Boom-!
Krypton Sergeant Apollo was punched in the chest by Doomsday, who suddenly rushed in front of him, and was sent flying like a cannonball.
In that instant, only those Kryptonian and Superhero with sufficiently sharp eyesight realized that Doomsday had grown larger.
Despite being a full four meters tall, Apollo looked like a ten-year-old child facing an adult when confronting Doomsday; no wonder he was sent flying with a single punch.
After knocking Apollo away, Doomsday disappeared from sight once again.
When it reappeared in front of Faora and was blocked by Faora and Superman, the others realized that the monster was not chasing the Krypton Sergeant, but was heading for Faora.
Just as Faora and Superman were about to retaliate, Doomsday disappeared again and reappeared in front of Wonder Woman.
Fortunately, Wonder Woman had already retrieved her shield, and with her extensive combat experience, she used it to block Doomsday's attack; otherwise, she would have been fatally hit.
By this point, everyone could see that Doomsday, resurrected for the third time, had not only strengthened its defense against sharp weapons, but primarily enhanced its own speed.
To this end, it abandoned its two arms, extended its original insteps into a third leg, and changed to a toe-based landing mode.
So when it started running, its speed was indeed so fast that it was difficult to keep up.
Doomsday's tactics also changed; after each attack missed its target, it would turn and leave.
In the blink of an eye, it had attacked everyone on the battlefield, except for Superman, Shazo, and Batman.
Shazo exuded an obscure and unfathomable aura, which made Doomsday deeply wary, and he never dared to approach him from beginning to end.
Batman, however, reacted quickly and withdrew from the battlefield early on, disappearing into some Secret Chamber fitted with lead plates.
Superman, on the other hand, is fast enough to keep up with Doomsday and thus avoid being attacked by Doomsday.
Faora was attacked twice by Doomsday. She wasn't fast enough and could only barely block the enemy's attacks each time, leaving her no time to retaliate.
At this moment, she was filled with gratitude. Fortunately, she had followed Shazo's orders and ordered the Krypton Warrior, who were one level weaker, to retreat. Otherwise, there would have been a lot of casualties.
Like that half-human, half-machine creature called Kong, who was attacked three times in a row by Doomsday, losing not only a leg but also having his red-glowing mechanical eye blown apart.
After Apollo flew back, he was attacked again, and his head was spinning from the blow.
He bowed to Shazo with lingering fear. "Thanks all, Mr. Shazo!"
Shazo smiled slightly, "No need to thank me. Now that I am your leader, of course I will consider your needs."
"Apollo, have you noticed that this monster's behavior doesn't match the Krypton records?"
Apollo nodded and said, "It's definitely different. This monster doesn't seem mindless. Its enhancements are very targeted, and it clearly used tactics in the battle, which is why we've fallen into such a passive state."
Shazo agreed, "You're right, maybe it's because of Lex Luthor."
"He was an extremely cunning fellow, particularly skilled in business and scheming; it's said he even plotted while he slept."
"Hopefully it won't be so clever as to... let me win!!"
Before Shazo could finish speaking, Doomsday suddenly abandoned its attack on the Superhero and Kryptonian, turning around and rushing towards Gotham City, outside the battlefield.
The situation that Shazo was most looking forward to, and that everyone else was most worried about, has occurred.
Batman was the most anxious. He disregarded his own safety and rushed out of his Safehouse, piloting the Batwing to crash into Doomsday.
Batman's adventure paid off. Although the Batwing crashed upon impact, Doomsday's speed was slowed down, allowing Superman to catch up.
Superman panicked and couldn't care less about what would happen next. He focused his energy in his eyes and suddenly unleashed Heat Vision that pierced Doomsday's left leg.
Doomsday let out a scream and fell miserably onto Gotham Avenue, breaking his right leg in the process.
The long legs of the reverse toe stand are indeed very fast, but their impact resistance is greatly reduced, and they can't even withstand their own weight, so they just fall and break.
However, the broken legs did not completely disable Doomsday; its four arms swung around, and it moved with surprising speed while bracing itself on the ground.
Doomsday, dragging its two broken legs, charged into an apartment building on Gotham Avenue, smashing through a load-bearing column.
The apartment building lost its support and collapsed with a roar, raising a cloud of dust.
Luck, this is a newly rebuilt neighborhood, and no Gotham City have moved in yet, so it won't cause a large-scale death toll.
The smoke and dust did not obstruct the vision of Superman and the Kryptonian. They rushed through the smoke and dust, Doomsday, who had lost his speed advantage, on the grass by the river.
But at this point, Doomsday, with nowhere to escape, revealed its full power.
Its attack power is exceptionally strong, and its defense is unparalleled.
Kryptonian punches and kicks, Kong's Laser and missiles, Wonder Woman's Godkiller and Lasso of Truth—none of them could inflict any effective damage.
Only the Heat Vision of Superman, Faora, and Apollo could penetrate Doomsday's skin and truly damage it.
Apollo felt a chill run down his spine. "Everyone be careful, we absolutely mustn't kill it, otherwise once it revives, we won't be able to hurt it anymore."
Faora was also feeling a chill run down her spine. She finally understood why Krypton was so afraid of this monster, even naming it "Planetary Destroyer".
This kind of monster, which seems invincible no matter how many times you kill it, and becomes even more invincible the more times you kill it, could really destroy a planet!
Fortunately, this newly Doomsday possesses Earth's characteristics and can be killed by Kryptonite —right?
Faora touched the Kryptonite Spear behind her. If this weapon couldn't kill Doomsday, she would immediately take all the Kryptonian and flee to the moon.
The head of Luthor on Doomsday's neck is getting smaller and smaller, now it's only the size of an orange. We'll know the final answer in another ten minutes or so.
No one expected that as Luthor's head was gradually absorbed, Doomsday would actually become intelligent.
It seized the opportunity when Apollo fired Heat Vision at its arm, suddenly changed its dodging motion, and fiercely brought its head close to the Heat Vision.
No one expected that Doomsday, this monster, would commit suicide. It actually understood its predicament and came up with the idea of "suicide."
Apollo turned pale with fright. He opened his mouth but couldn't say anything, and his legs suddenly went weak, causing him to stumble back several steps before regaining his balance.
Not only Apollo was frightened, but Superman, Faora, Wonder Woman, Kong, and Batman were also frightened.
While Doomsday was terrifying, it was merely a Beast.
As intelligent beings, Kryptonian are never afraid of Beast. Even if they are not as strong, it is not difficult to use their brains to set traps.
For example, the Kryptonian sealed the first Planetary Destroyer in their star core, easily defeating that monster that had died countless times and was now completely invincible.
In fact, Kong and Batman had already realized that although Earth was powerless to seal Doomsday into its core, exiling it into geosynchronous orbit would certainly not be a problem.
If all else fails, let Doomsday follow in Voyager 1's footsteps and launch it out of the Solar System.
The Universe is so vast that even if Doomsday travels for tens of thousands of years, it would not have the chance to encounter another planet.
However, all of this is predicated on the premise that Doomsday is merely Beast and cannot possess intelligence.
Intelligence is the Miracle of the Universe. Once Doomsday possesses intelligence, it will surely be able to solve all its flaws and eventually grow into the Destroyer of the Universe.
The atmosphere suddenly turned tense and menacing. Superman, Faora, Apollo, Kong, and others all changed. Even Batman, who adhered to the principle of not killing, found a reason to justify his actions.
Doomsday is a monster, like Superman; they are not human and can be killed!
The headless Doomsday corpse rapidly melted, turning into a pool of grayish-green flesh.
A few minutes later, Superman spoke up, "This time, Doomsday's resurrection—seems quite different."
"It looks like Bug spinning its cocoon and emerging as a molting caterpillar," Kong said. "Is it undergoing a transformative evolution?"
Doomsday's fourth resurrection was indeed different; instead of transforming from a writhing mass of flesh into a humanoid monster as before, it became a hard shell like a cocoon.
Then, inside the cocoon, a brand new Doomsday was rapidly being conceived.
With their keen hearing, the Kryptonian have heard an unprecedentedly strong heartbeat.
Faora frowned and said, "Something's wrong. We can't let it complete its evolution smoothly. Attack!!"
She immediately activated the Heat Vision, which struck the cocoon precisely, but caused no damage whatsoever, only generating a large amount of white smoke.
Seeing that things were going wrong, Superman and Apollo also activated their Heat Vision, and Kong transformed his right hand into a massive particle cannon, launching a full-force attack.
But none of their attacks could penetrate the cocoon; they only produced increasingly thick white smoke.
The heartbeat inside the cocoon grew stronger and stronger, so strong that not only could ordinary humans like Batman hear it, but it even caused the ground to tremble.
It's clear that a true monster is about to be born.
"No, this isn't what Planetary Destroyer looks like," Faora gasped. "It shouldn't be evolving this fast!"
Batman shook his head and said, "This monster isn't Krypton's Planetary Destroyer, it's Earth's Doomsday."
Superman seemed to have made up his mind, and said firmly, "Don't worry, no matter what kind of monster it is, I will destroy it, even if it costs me my life."
With a crisp crack, a bizarre giant fist pierced through the cocoon's outer shell. It was a massive fist, large enough to be almost invisible, but without skin, only covered by fascia and slender muscles.
Then came a second fist exposing white bone, followed by a head and a body. A skinless monster shattered the cocoon and appeared before the Superhero.
Everyone was stunned when they saw the monster.
The monster Doomsday was extremely tall, at least six meters high.
But the monster's body was very thin; it had no skin, and even its muscles were very slender, not enough to cover its white bones.
Through the ribs, you can even see a huge heart and other internal organs, but only the heart and lungs are normal. The liver, spleen and other internal organs are very shriveled, and there are no intestines in the lower abdomen.
The fourth resurrection of Doomsday is strange; it seems incredibly fragile, as if it could be killed with a single, casual strike.
But now everyone knows that Doomsday cannot be killed casually, otherwise it will become stronger and stronger until it becomes completely invincible.
Just as Superman and his crew were hesitating about whether to use the Kryptonite Spear to deliver a fatal blow, Doomsday suddenly grinned.
It not only laughed but also spoke, "Hehehe, you hesitated. Hesitation will lead to defeat!"
Doomsday was resurrected for the fourth time and actually gained intelligence.
It seemed to know the shock its words would cause, so it suddenly disappeared before anyone could finish speaking.
The sonic boom in the sky proved just how fast Doomsday was going, and the direction it was heading was the most densely populated Central City of Gotham.
Everyone, including Shazo, had the same question on their Central City: [What is Doomsday going to do?]
But at this point, no one had time to speculate; everyone chased after them as fast as they could.
When Superman intercepted Doomsday in Gotham's CBD, it had already stormed into a food distribution center, opened the cold storage Main Gate, and was feasting on frozen pork.
Doomsday opened its mouth to 120 degrees, bit off half a pig's body in one bite, then chewed it a couple of times and swallowed it.
It only takes three bites for it to eat half a pig.
Each time Doomsday swallowed a bite of meat, his muscles swelled a little more, and his previously atrophied internal organs became fuller.
Seeing Superman arrive, it neither hid nor ran away, but threatened Superman, "If you dare to disturb me from eating meat, I'll eat a person!"
After saying that, it continued to eat heartily, ignoring Superman completely.
