Where Do Spiders Spin Their Silk?
With a "snap!", Peter Parker's fist was grabbed by Robet. Peter Parker's expression changed, and he struggled to pull his fist out of Robet's grasp, but found that his fist was held tightly, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not break free.
Instinctively, Peter Parker threw another punch at Robet, but just like the first punch, Robet still grabbed his hand and he couldn't break free...
"This..." Peter Parker snapped out of his daze and stared blankly at Robet. He didn't quite understand the point of Robet asking him to throw a punch. Was it to prove the gap between him and Robet? But Peter Parker had already guessed Robet's strength from that intense sense of crisis earlier, so there was no need to throw a punch to prove it.
"Hmm, it's much stronger than Super Soldier, but still a bit weaker than Animal Warriors and Demon. I wonder if it can be improved further..." Robet released Peter Parker's fists and said after a brief analysis.
Peter Parker's displayed strength was largely consistent with his aura, but strength was merely the first thing Robet wanted to test.
"Let's move on to the next test..." Robet nodded at Peter Parker and said, "Do you remember how you were clinging to the wall before? Try it again."
"One more time? Here?" Peter Parker looked around at the desolate environment with some hesitation. There were no walls here for Peter Parker to break through.
"It's alright. Climbing walls and climbing trees are essentially the same thing. Why don't you give it a try? After all, this place is sparsely populated, so you won't get caught while you're experimenting," Robet waved his hand and pointed to a tree not far away.
"..." Peter Parker fell silent upon hearing Robet's words. If Robet weren't stronger than him, he would have doubted Robet's reliability. How could they test someone like that? It was far too casual!
As he demonstrated his various abilities, Peter Parker began to accept that he possessed superpowers.
Especially with the even more powerful Robet nearby and Kara, who hadn't come along, Peter Parker felt that perhaps superpowers weren't so rare after all; he just hadn't encountered them before.
So, despite his silence, Peter Parker obediently walked to the tree and tried to climb it.
"Think back to how you were climbing that wall," Robet reminded her. "You know, trees are much easier to climb than smooth walls, so you should have made it much easier, not as difficult as you are now!"
Yes, Peter Parker didn't climb the tree easily at this point; instead, he seemed a bit clumsy. So Robet wanted to give Peter Parker some pointers.
Even with Robet's prompting, Peter Parker couldn't find the same feeling as before when climbing the wall. Instead, he felt even more awkward and had no idea how to climb up.
Seeing Peter Parker's performance, Robet shook his head helplessly, then unleashed his aura towards Peter Parker.
"Whoa!" Peter Parker yelled, his body once again uncontrollably leaping to the top of the tree. He looked at Robet warily and said, "Hey, can you stop scaring me like that? At least give me a heads-up!"
"Didn't I just remind you?" Robet shrugged, looking at Peter Parker seriously. "And if you can't control your abilities and get used to the changes around you, you'll probably have a hard time going to school normally. After all, I can hide my aura to calm you down, but Kara can't, unless you transfer schools again."
"Furthermore, your inability to control your abilities makes it easy for you to cause damage or harm to others."
"So, first, feel your current state, get used to this feeling of your power being activated, and adapt to it. Then try to see if you can spin silk..."
"Hey, hey, hey! I already told you I was just bitten by Spider. Even though I gained superpowers, I didn't turn into Spider. Why are you still thinking about making me shoot webs?" Peter Parker, who had been forcibly suppressing his heartbeat and seriously thinking about Robet's previous words, Peter Parker somewhat angrily when he heard Robet bring up the web-shooting thing again.
"You haven't even tried it, how do you know you can't shoot webs? Besides, you already gained superpowers after being bitten by Spider, so what's wrong with having the ability to shoot webs again?" Robet shrugged and asked seriously.
"Ah..." Upon hearing Robet's question, Peter Parker was speechless for a moment. After a long pause, he muttered hesitantly, "But how do I spin silk...? From my mouth, or some other strange place?"
Peter Parker became increasingly uncomfortable as he spoke, because he remembered that Spider seemed to spin silk using their abdomen or tail, and these parts clearly didn't fit his own body.
"Did you also gain superpowers after being bitten by something?" Peter Parker suddenly thought of something and looked at Robet tentatively. "Can you also shoot webs? Otherwise, why are you so interested in this?"
"Kara and I are in different situations than you. We haven't been bitten by anything. As for the fact that I think you can spin webs, it's because Spider naturally spin webs. Since you have the ability to climb like Spider, isn't it normal for you to also have the ability to spin webs?" Robet said to Peter Parker after thinking for a moment.
"It shouldn't spray out from any embarrassing places, why don't you try shaking it with your hand?"
Robet had a slight recollection of the name Peter Parker before, but because the Peter Parker of the past was weaker than the average person, Robet hadn't given it much thought.
But now, after Peter Parker says he was bitten by Spider and gained superpowers, Robet suspects this guy is Spider-Man. Of course, this is also related to Robet's recent encounter with Batman...
However, Robet didn't know much about Spider-Man's specific abilities. He roughly knew that Spider-Man could climb walls and swing on his Spider Web, but he wasn't sure where the Spider Web came from. Robet was sure they didn't come from any indecent places...
"Shake your hands? How is that possible?" Peter Parker instinctively shook his hands after hearing Robet's words, but then he sensed something and kept changing the way he shook his hands.
With a "whoosh!" sound, as Peter Parker pressed his thumb against his middle and ring fingers and flicked them outwards, a white Spider Web shot out from Peter Parker's wrist, heading straight for Robet.
With a "whoosh!" Robet pointed lightly at the oncoming Spider Web, and a ball of flame shot out from his fingertip, instantly incinerating all the Spider Web in front of him.
