Martian Manhunter Unmasked
Hak foo had no idea that the Monkey Talisman was deliberately given to him by Baron Strucker. He thought he was on the second level and Baron Strucker was on the first level, not realizing that Baron Strucker was actually in the atmosphere.
Of course, the main reason Baron Strucker handed over the Monkey Talisman so easily was that the Monkey Talisman itself was no longer of much use to him. It's similar to how Barry Allen and others had already obtained the Talisman's power, so their need for Talisman naturally decreased...
"Boss! The Monkey Talisman is back!" In Valmont's secret base, Hak foo excitedly handed the Monkey Talisman to Valmont. After all, although the confrontation with Baron Strucker was short, it was definitely full of ups and downs.
Hak foo had initially thought he was doomed to fail in his mission with Valmont's mission, believing he wouldn't be able to bring back either Baron Strucker or the Talisman. However, Hak foo managed to turn the tide with his wit and quick thinking, or at least that's what Hak foo believed.
It's clear that even though they're both called Hak foo, the difference is huge.
"Where's Baron Strucker? Didn't you fight him?" Valmont seemed to understand something when Hak foo returned with the Monkey Talisman, and asked Hak foo softly.
"Boss, I was indeed careless and underestimated him this time. That Strucker is very powerful. I almost couldn't beat him, but in the end, I brought back the Monkey Talisman, so I guess I completed the mission?" Hak foo asked Valmont with some hesitation.
"Tell me what happened to you, don't hide anything!" Valmont paused for a moment, then looked at Hak foo and said.
"Yes!" Seeing Valmont's slightly serious expression, Hak foo quickly responded and recounted his ordeal.
"Is that so?" Valmont's eyes flickered slightly upon hearing this, then he suddenly laughed and said softly, "Well done. It's a great achievement that you were able to retrieve the Monkey Talisman. Go and get some rest. I'll let you know when the next operation is about to begin, but next time, you'll have to be even more cautious than this time..."
"Don't worry, boss, I guarantee I'll complete the mission!" Upon hearing this, Hak foo instantly perked up, responded, and happily left.
"Sigh..." Valmont sighed helplessly after Hak foo left, then shook his head and muttered, "Oh well, as long as he can fight, that's enough. Where are there so many smart people to be his subordinates? It's better if he's a little slow!"
"However, we can be certain of what Strucker meant: he doesn't want to get involved in the Talisman incident. In other words, he already has another path? Is it the power he obtained from the Talisman? Or something else?"
Valmont stared at the Monkey Talisman in his hand in silence for a moment, then his eyes gradually brightened. He continued, "Never mind Strucker's side. Although it's a bit of a shame that I'm missing someone to help me study the Talisman's power, it won't change my overall plan. At least for now, there aren't any loopholes in my plan, unless Strucker exposes it..."
"But he doesn't need to do that. Since he's willing to hand over the Monkey Talisman, it means he doesn't want to truly break ties with me. However, just to be on the safe side, we still need to coordinate with the various parties involved and complete the plan as soon as possible!"
"The DEO and Section 13 are manageable, but Nick Fury is a bit of a problem. I need to choose a time when he's away, since I can't just storm into S.H.I.E.L.D.. and cause too much of a commotion. Alexander Pierce would definitely turn against me then. I can only wait until Nick Fury comes out and then we can take action together..."
"The Monkey Talisman ... Demon Sorcerer ..." Valmont made up his mind and looked toward the secret chamber where Demon Sorcerer was. Previously, because he did not trust Demon Sorcerer, the Talisman had never appeared here, but now that Demon Sorcerer had fallen into a deep sleep, the Talisman seemed to have no reaction at all.
"How about we give it a try?" However, Valmont was still a little uneasy. For Demon Sorcerer, Demon who had lived for countless years and could only be sealed away, not killed, no amount of caution was too much!
"Attention all units! All laser weapons, aim them at the secret chamber. If there is any unusual activity inside, do not hold back, even if it means grinding the chamber flat!" Valmont was a decisive man; since he had become suspicious, he naturally wanted to test it out.
Valmont swiftly issued the order, and his men sprang into action. A fearless Hydra Soldiers, carrying the Monkey Talisman, entered the secret chamber, his eyes fixed intently on the location of the Shendu Dragon Statue.
Meanwhile, Valmont, in the monitoring room, stared intently at the monitor screen, ready to issue orders at any moment.
"Boss, I've reached the statue. Should we place the Talisman inside it now?" The Hydra Soldiers asked hesitantly as he approached the cold, coiled dragon statue.
"Wave the Talisman around the statue, but don't place it in the gap!" Valmont paused for a moment before giving the order.
"Yes!" the Hydra Soldiers replied, waving the Monkey Talisman around the Shendu Dragon Statue, as if luring a Beast with food.
However, the dragon statue of the Demon Sorcerer seemed to have truly fallen into a deep slumber. Faced with the Talisman delivered to its door, it still showed no reaction whatsoever, nor did it absorb the Monkey Talisman on the spot.
"Okay, come back!" Valmont saw on the monitor that the Hydra Soldiers were constantly trying to seduce Demon Sorcerer, Demon Sorcerer's dragon statue still didn't react. After a while, he gave a new order. Now, Valmont could finally relax.
A few days later, Robet was still staying at Diana's house, back to their life as a couple. Every day, he and Diana would have a passionate encounter, followed by a hearty meal, then go home to shower and go to sleep. Life was quite pleasant.
Rumors of Diana having a boyfriend also spread within the Louvre Museum, and coupled with Diana's absence from work for several days, her suitors and ordinary colleagues were heartbroken.
Ordinary colleagues were merely somewhat disappointed that a goddess like Diana had ultimately been taken by a fool, while her suitors were indignant. They wanted to know who had the ability and skill to win Diana's heart, and they wanted to test their abilities against such a person to see where they fell short...
Unfortunately, since neither Diana nor Robet appeared, these suitors had no one to vent their frustrations on and could only give up helplessly.
Meanwhile, Valmont finally received news that Nick Fury was leaving S.H.I.E.L.D.. on business. As for what he was going to do, Valmont couldn't find out, but Valmont didn't care, because it wasn't Valmont concern at all.
"Hak foo, it's your turn to act this time. But remember to be careful. Just knock Nick Fury unconscious, don't kill him, or Alexander Pierce will turn against us. But you must get the Dog Talisman Dog Talisman. It's in his watch. Just steal his watch, understand?" Valmont called Hak foo over and gave him another serious instruction.
"Don't worry, boss! I guarantee I'll complete the mission! This time, I will definitely bring the Dog Talisman back safely!" Hak foo solemnly patted his chest and assured him.
"Okay, don't rush, just wait for my orders!" Valmont patted Hak foo on the shoulder and said, "Go..."
Soon after watching Hak foo lead his team away, Valmont contacted the undercover agents in both Section 13 and the DEO, informing them of the time of the operation.
Within the DEO, five Hydra agents quietly gathered together. Each had their own assigned tasks: some created chaos to attract attention, some cut off the power, some were prepared to escape as scapegoats, and others planned the attack route...
Unbeknownst to the five Hydra, as they began their operation, a man in a suit with a skull-like head was watching them.
"Hydra? They've started their operation? Talisman..." This person's ostensible identity is Mr. Skull, the leader of the DEO, but in reality, he is one of Martian Manhunter's aliases.
Martian Manhunter: Yes, it's me again!
"Forget it, I won't get involved in the Talisman stuff. After all, it seems that troublesome little guy is dealing with Talisman, and that Kryptonian, he's actually starting to appear openly in front of the world. I wonder what his purpose is..." Martian Manhunter's skull shook as he pondered.
"I'll take this opportunity to completely shed this disguise. This disguise no longer means much to me... Hmm?"
"What are you doing?!" Just as Martian Manhunter was pondering this, the Hydra infiltrators who were on the other side were unexpectedly discovered, and the person who discovered them was none other than Kara's sister, Alex.
Unlike everyone else who were completely indifferent to the Talisman, Alex was completely different. She knew that Robet was handling matters related to the Talisman, and that a group of people were eyeing Talisman, especially since the Talisman had almost caused trouble before...
Therefore, when she saw someone sneaking towards the Talisman, Alex immediately shouted, startling the Hydra who was in action. How could he be targeted before he had even made a move?
However, the Hydra Soldiers reacted quickly, promptly notifying his comrades and drawing his gun to fire at Alex!
With a "snap!" sound, the power to the entire DEO was instantly cut off, including the backup power supply, plunging the DEO into complete darkness.
With a loud "bang!" followed by a gunshot, Martian Manhunter watched the bullet fly towards Alex, hesitated for a moment, then vanished from his spot and instantly reappeared beside Alex.
In the darkness, Alex heard the gunshot and tried to dodge, but it was too late. She quickly felt a force surging towards her, and her body was thrown backward. Although Alex didn't feel any pain, she instinctively thought she had been shot...
"Come on, follow me!" But just then, Alex heard a somewhat familiar yet weak voice. Alex's mind went blank for a moment, and she was instinctively pulled away by the owner of the voice.
Meanwhile, the Hydra agents operating in the shadows went smoothly. Wearing night-vision goggles, they quickly retrieved the Rat Talisman and escaped safely, without even a pursuer. The remaining members of the DEO were completely unaware of what had happened; they were still working to restore power...
As for Martian Manhunter, the only one with the ability to stop everything, who had transformed into Mr. Skull, he was currently loading up on his wounds. When the power equipment was forcibly shut down and the entire DEO regained its light, Alex was instantly stunned when she saw Mr. Skull lying on the ground beside her, bleeding profusely...
"Minister, what happened?! Damn it! Someone help! The minister has been shot!" Alex instantly understood what had happened in the darkness. Her minister had taken a bullet for her and led her to safety, but he himself had been shot!
At Alex's exclamation, the DEO descended into chaos a second time, with medical staff rushing over.
"It's no use, I can sense my physical condition, I can't hold on much longer..." Martian Manhunter, true to his acting prowess, weakly grasped Alex's hand and said, "Don't be sad, don't blame yourself, you did the best, it's just that our DEO's vigilance was too weak... Ugh!"
The Martian Manhunter, resembling Mr. Skull, gradually lost his pupils and completely lost his life force; his hand also detached from Alex's grasp.
"Minister! Waaaaah..."
