We Can Fly Together Too
"It seems like everyone who comes into contact with the Talisman will change? I'll ask Uncle Jackie later... Oh, by the way, let me tell you, I met a bootleg Clark!" Robet pondered the Talisman, then thought of the Fake Superman, and excitedly shared his experience of beating up the Fake Superman.
"Really?" Kara's eyes lit up slightly as she listened to Robet's story with great interest. After all, in Robet's account, the Fake Superman was almost identical to Clark, with the same abilities, which greatly intrigued Kara.
"Let me take you home to see Robet and the others first, or rather, to get to know them again!" Clark, who was originally shopping with Lana, heard his foolish younger brother's voice in the distance and immediately decided to change their plans, suggesting to Lana.
"Okay, whatever you say!" Lana said gently, holding Clark's hand.
For Lana, what she did didn't matter at all; as long as Clark could be with her again, that was enough...
"Let me carry you and fly, hurry up." Clark listened to Robet still vividly recounting how he beat up the Fake Superman, and he couldn't wait to see Robet's reaction when he appeared in front of Robet.
Of course, there was another reason for taking Lana back: Clark felt that Lana's awakening of superpowers might really be related to the Talisman. Robet knew a lot about this kind of power, so he wanted Robet to take a look so he could feel at ease.
"Let me tell you, I smashed that Fake Superman face to pieces. Little pebbles fell down, it looked super weird, just like Clark's face..." Robet was still recounting his exciting battle when he suddenly sensed something and changed the subject.
"Clark's face suddenly appeared in front of Demon Sorcerer, startling Demon Sorcerer. Then Clark punched Demon Sorcerer, sending him flying into the abandoned city. It was Clark who Demon Sorcerer here; otherwise, dealing with Demon Sorcerer wouldn't have been so easy for me!"
"Demon Sorcerer? Abandoned District? Weren't you just talking about..." Kara looked at Robet with a slightly bewildered expression as he suddenly started Robet, but soon, hearing some noise, Kara glanced over instinctively and then, quite understandingly, chimed in, "Then the Demon Sorcerer is indeed a bit of a problem, after all, he's the owner of Clark Talisman. Fortunately, Robet unintentionally helped you..."
"You guys changed your tune pretty quickly!" Clark appeared in front of Robet and Kara, carrying Lana. He gave Robet a deep look and said irritably.
"Oh? They're hugging?" Kara's eyes flashed with envy as she saw Clark and Lana flying towards her, hugging each other. She thought to herself, "I've never even hugged Robet like this..."
The last time Kara held Robet, Robet was seriously injured and unconscious. And the last time Robet was conscious, he acted like a block of wood; perhaps at that time, Robet even thought Kara wasn't as important as that piece of Dinosaur meat...
"Clark, you two finally got married?" A series of thoughts flashed through Kara's mind, but when she heard Clark's question, Kara snapped out of her reverie and came to Robet's rescue, saying, "Congratulations... Hmm? Why does Lana seem a little different than before?"
Out of respect for acquaintances, Kara usually doesn't use her X-Ray Vision to look at things randomly, but when Kara saw Lana, she still keenly noticed the changes in Lana compared to before.
"Yeah, I don't know why, but I suddenly gained special powers, and I look quite like Clark ..." Lana and Kara were fairly familiar with each other, since Lana would come to see Clark every now and then.
"The power of the Talisman?" A hint of surprise flashed in Robet's eyes. His attention was focused on Lana. Previously, because Clark was holding Lana, Robet had not sensed it, but now Robet keenly noticed the similarity between Lana's aura and the Talisman.
"Is it the power of the Talisman? Lana was not far from where you were fighting Demon Sorcerer. After the explosion, she fainted and then suddenly gained superhuman powers. Could you take a look?" Clark was too lazy to argue with Robet about how excited he was about fighting the Fake Superman. Although he didn't notice anything unusual about Lana, he was worried that this sudden awakening of superpowers might cause Lana some unknown harm.
As the saying goes, concern leads to confusion, and this is exactly the case. After confirming their relationship, Clark became even more worried about changes in Lana that he didn't understand, even though from his perspective, Lana was in surprisingly good physical and mental condition.
"Hmm, when the Twelve Talismans exploded before, some of their power merged into my body. However, it seems that it was all the power of the Talisman that I had studied..." Robet looked at Lana and pondered for a moment before speaking softly.
"Steve and Barry Allen both came into contact with Talisman and thus gained Talisman power, but Lana seems different. She seems to have obtained the power of more than one type of Talisman? In my perception, there are at least the powers of the Ox Talisman, Rabbit Talisman, Rooster Talisman, Pig Talisman, and Horse Talisman. Could it be that Lana, you came into contact with Talisman before?"
"Talisman? What's that?" Lana asked Robet, looking somewhat bewildered.
With a "whoosh," Robet lightly tapped his finger, and a ball of energy appeared in front of Robet, which then transformed into twelve Talisman. Some of these Talisman were so lifelike that they even drew upon the Talisman power within Lana's body.
"It feels so familiar. The power within me seems to resonate with them, but I've never seen them before..." Lana exclaimed, then said hesitantly.
"Well then, show us your abilities. One at a time, no rush, we'll try them slowly." Robet nodded thoughtfully and said softly to Lana.
"Go ahead." Clark gently patted Lana's shoulder as he noticed Lana gaze.
"Okay, first of all, this..." Lana took a deep breath upon hearing this, and then her figure flashed and disappeared from the spot. She was very fast, at least faster than Barry Allen and Pietro that Robet had seen before. It was just unknown who would have the slight advantage in speed after the two of them were enhanced.
Of course, Robet could also analyze that Lana's current speed was purely physical, more like his, Clark's, and Kara's, but what was driving this speed was indeed the power of the Talisman.
Next, Lana began to demonstrate her other abilities. Just as Robet had sensed earlier, Lana possessed the power of multiple Talisman, and her overall performance was not much different from that of Kryptonian like Clark and Kara.
With flight, super strength, super defense, super speed, super regenerative abilities, and Laser Eyes, Lana could impersonate Superman without any apparent abnormalities, except for the wrong gender.
It's just unknown whether Lana's current superpowers are enough to survive in the sky, and whether these abilities can be further improved...
Of course, such a thought only flashed through Robet's mind. Robet knew that if Clark heard that he wanted Lana to try it in a vacuum environment, he would definitely beat him up, and settle all the old scores with him!
"Clark, don't worry, Lana is fine!" After a while, having seen all of Lana's abilities and deduced the corresponding abilities from his own aura, Robet looked at Clark and said softly.
"Really?" Clark breathed a sigh of relief, but still asked instinctively.
"Of course it's true, but if Lana can keep her identity a secret, maybe you two could become a Superman couple..." Robet shrugged, looking at Clark with a joking smile.
Robet vividly remembered Lana's persistence. Ever since he lost his memory, Lana had been running to Clark's place from time to time. It had been so many years, it must have been quite something!
"I have indeed considered doing something similar with Clark, but I don't plan to appear as a married couple with him..." Lana smiled and shook her head, saying softly, "After all, we are a loving couple in real life. Being Superman together would risk exposure, and that wouldn't be appropriate..."
"Yes, Lana told me before that she wanted to try it out near Kansas first..." Clark nodded, put his arm around Lana, and said with a smile, "However, I'm going to tell you a few rules that I've come up with, and you need to remember them."
"Yes, you say it, I will definitely remember it!" Lana nodded solemnly and looked at Clark affectionately.
"First of all, if you encounter a crisis that you don't know the answer to or can't be sure if you can resolve, don't rush in blindly. You can call me first, and I will come to help!" Clark said to Lana earnestly.
"Secondly, we don't need to intervene in everything. What we need to do is resolve unexpected disasters and tragedies. The police should only get involved in situations where there is a life-threatening danger..."
"Finally, when facing other extraordinary individuals, do not act rashly, nor provoke them. You can also call upon me..."
"I have this feeling that the final solution to everything always comes down to you," Lana asked Clark teasingly.
"After all, I don't want you to get hurt while doing these things, whether physically or mentally!" Clark slowly shook his head and said softly, "I know this isn't what you really want to do; you just want to be closer to me. But I also want to tell you that more than anything, I want you to be safe and sound..."
Even after Clark became Superman, he wasn't without encounters with people who didn't understand him, or even those who thought he was meddling. The harsh words from those people were indeed unpleasant. The kind of criticism Clark received when he rescued Lana was not uncommon; it's just that it was drowned out by the comments from Superman fans...
"You too, don't put too much pressure on yourself..." Lana seemed to understand Clark's meaning, and said softly, holding Clark's hand with some heartache.
"Shouldn't we be staying here?" Kara felt uneasy seeing Clark and Lana getting closer and closer, especially since Robet next to her seemed perfectly comfortable. So she jumped next to Robet and whispered.
"Huh? Why?" Robet asked Kara, puzzled.
"We'll be going now, so as not to embarrass you or disturb you any longer..." Clark shook his head upon hearing Kara and Robet's conversation, while secretly whispering to Kara, "You'd better keep it up, I hope you succeed soon!"
"Ah!" Kara's face instantly turned red. She glanced at Robet beside her, her gaze somewhat evasive, while Clark and Lana had already flown away together.
However, instead of becoming superheroes together, the two chose to return to their own identities, relax, and enjoy life as a couple...
"Why are you blushing?" Robet asked Kara, puzzled, after Clark and Lana had flown away.
"It's nothing, I'm just a little envious that they can be together forever..." Kara muttered, her head down, her voice barely audible.
"Huh? What's there to envy? Can't we fly together too?" Robet asked Kara, puzzled.
