The Growing Supernatural Team (Part 3)
"Gathering intelligence..." As Tony Stark finished speaking, Jarvis began collecting data. After a while, he gave a vague answer, "Recently, there have been a sudden increase in supernatural events. Some strange monsters have been appearing frequently, and most of them have been dealt with by Superman. It's inferred that the Saiyan may also be fighting those monsters..."
With a "whoosh!", as Jarvis finished speaking, images appeared before Tony Stark: Superman defeating Demon.
"These guys are so ugly..." Tony Stark muttered after staring at the Demon in the image for a while. Apart from their ugliness, he couldn't really sense the strength of these Demon. After all, they were no different from Superman; they could be defeated in a few punches.
"Never mind them for now. How's Steve and the others doing?" Tony Stark snapped out of his reverie. After helping Robet conceal his identity, he turned his attention back to Steve and Bucky, with whom he had been working to fight Hydra.
Regardless of whether Bucky's previous statement was true or not, Tony Stark was an enemy of Hydra, and now Tony Stark even thinks that Hydra was the Dark Hand behind his kidnapping last time!
Obadiah: Thanks to Hydra for taking the blame. I'll make one last quick buck and then find a chance to take down Tony Stark! To avenge you all!
However, Hydra is not so easy to deal with. Before Nick Fury knew about Hydra, he always thought he had all the intelligence and power of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Even when he learned that Hydra might exist within S.H.I.E.L.D.., he still did not think that Hydra could hide very well.
But as he dug deeper, Nick Fury realized something was wrong. It seemed that his actions, along with those of Hawkeye Barton and the others, had been seen through. Some of the people he had previously suspected had become completely innocent, even more innocent than Nick Fury himself!
But can a secret agent really be so innocent? Especially an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.., who is among the best of the best, and whose ruthlessness is notorious...
Therefore, Nick Fury accelerated the pace of his investigation, even making an exception by handing over some information on suspected Hydra agents to Steve and Bucky, so that they could investigate and resolve the issue.
But once Steve and Bucky took action, everything changed. One by one, the identities of agents were revealed to be Hydra, and they all died at the hands of Steve and Bucky.
This made Nick Fury suspicious. Why couldn't he find a single Hydra during his investigation, but Steve and Bucky found one right away? Are you sure you're not framing innocent people?
As a secret service chief who frequently frames loyal and innocent people, Nick Fury has to be wary of tactics like those of Steve and Bucky.
However, everything went smoothly after Steve and Bucky started investigating the first Hydra. One Hydra after another was uncovered, including some mid- to high-ranking officers in S.H.I.E.L.D.., especially the head of the Intelligence Division whose identity was exposed. They also figured out how Hydra's previous intelligence had been hidden, which was pretty much the bottom line Nick Fury had anticipated.
If there are Hydra even further up the hierarchy, then it's fair to say that Nick Fury has misjudged people. Moreover, based on the current intelligence, all the Hydra that have been identified are connected in one line, which means that this branch of Hydra within S.H.I.E.L.D.. has been completely exposed!
At least in Nick Fury's view after several more thorough investigations, S.H.I.E.L.D.. should have been thoroughly investigated. He tried to enforce orders repeatedly, and only when there were no more problems within S.H.I.E.L.D.. did Nick Fury feel relieved.
Nick Fury was relieved, but Steve and Bucky were not, because they felt that a mere head of the Intelligence Division probably wouldn't be able to mobilize so many S.H.I.E.L.D.. resources...
Meanwhile, at Alexander Pierce's home, Sitwell stood respectfully to the side. Nick Fury's investigation of S.H.I.E.L.D.. had an impact on them, but fortunately, they had made preparations in advance.
So, after Alexander Pierce's maneuvering, he concealed most of his Hydra Hydra, consolidated the data from other branches, and organized it into a single thread. He first hid it, then slowly revealed its flaws, allowing Nick Fury, Steve, and others to discover it...
Alexander Pierce knew S.H.I.E.L.D.. too well, and he knew Nick Fury just as well; otherwise, Hydra wouldn't have been able to grow and expand so easily right under Nick Fury's nose.
Through the collaboration of old friends Alexander Pierce and Nick Fury, along with their subordinates—one intentional and one unintentional— Nick Fury eliminated what he perceived as Hydra, leaving S.H.I.E.L.D.. clean. Alexander Pierce dealt with the other Hydra branches within S.H.I.E.L.D.. It can only be said that both men have bright futures ahead of them...
"Let them remain hidden. Apart from necessary intelligence exchanges, they shouldn't act rashly. Nick Fury should be fine, but Steve and Bucky are still in some trouble..." Alexander Pierce said, looking at Sitwell.
"But they're not without options. We were careless before, and we even needed them to expose Valmont's location, but now..."
"Minister, dealing with them doesn't seem so easy. After all, our men need to be hidden. Theoretically, we've already been wiped out by Nick Fury. Could it be that we should incite conflict between Nick Fury and them?" A hint of hesitation flashed in Sitwell's eyes as he asked in a low voice.
"I don't know if you're really stupid or just pretending. If Nick Fury really had the courage to turn against Steve, he wouldn't need Steve's help to thoroughly investigate us!" Alexander Pierce said calmly, glancing at Sitwell.
"When dealing with Steve, overt methods are definitely not going to work. Neither Nick Fury nor I can openly break ties with him. But aren't there still many covert methods available?"
"Our men are immobilized, and Valmont's henchmen aren't all dead. That guy named Hak foo, didn't he step forward and say he wanted to take charge of Valmont's men? Let him know that it was Steve who led a group of people to kill Valmont. If he wants to stay in his current position, he needs to avenge his boss..."
"Minister, what a brilliant move to use one tiger to devour another!" Sitwell exclaimed, feigning amazement as he flattered Alexander Pierce.
"Alright, you don't need to waste your time on this anymore. Have you figured out what happened with the new explosion?" Alexander Pierce waved his hand dismissively and said.
"Also, find a way to pass on information about those Demon to Nick Fury. He'll definitely be very interested in this kind of supernatural power. Use him to study these guys who crawled out of hell, just in case we need to deal with them in the future."
"The residual energy from the new explosion has been detected. It's different from the previous one; the energy from this explosion is purer, but it also doesn't have any radiation or explosive residue. It's suspected to be caused by supernatural forces again..." Sitwell nodded and said in a low voice.
"Another supernatural power, huh? It seems some people are hiding even better than we are. But it doesn't matter. Once the subsequent plans are executed, even the most secretive people won't be able to hide any longer, unless they stop living on Earth!" Alexander Pierce's eyes flickered slightly, and then he glanced at Sitwell and said.
"I'll deliver the relevant reports and information about the Demon to Nick Fury right away!" As Alexander Pierce's confidant, Sitwell understood the meaning in his boss's eyes. He quickly responded and obediently turned and left.
"Nuclear explosion... twice..." After Sitwell went down, Alexander Pierce slowly closed his eyes, muttering keywords as if deep in thought.
Meanwhile, Robet, along with Johnny Storm and Susan Storm, had already left the explosion site. As for whether Johnny Storm and Susan Storm would be exposed, Robet wasn't too worried.
Because the Demon destroyed not only the Stone Family's house, but also most of the surrounding houses, Demon sensed the energy within Johnny Storm and Susan Storm, which led to the conflict with Johnny Storm...
"Who exactly were that monster, and that guy you fought later?" Johnny Storm asked Robet with some curiosity. Now that he and his sister Susan Storm had regained their supernatural abilities and returned to the supernatural world, they naturally wanted to find out more about the supernatural events.
Otherwise, what would it mean if he encountered Demon again and had to ask Robet for help?
Besides, his own awakened Explosive Flames were clearly more powerful than his sister's invisibility and flight. He didn't want to rely on his sister's invisibility to dodge every time; that would be too embarrassing...
"Demon." Robet shook his head and said softly, "I don't know what happened, but a rift opened in Earth Dimension, which allowed some not-so-powerful Demon to come to Earth and cause trouble everywhere. Their goal is probably to widen the rift in Earth Dimension so that more powerful Demon can descend..."
"Not a very powerful Demon?" Johnny Storm and Susan Storm stared wide-eyed at Robet. If the Demon that had left them helpless wasn't considered powerful, how terrifying must a truly powerful Demon be!
"The Demon you encountered were quite strong, mainly because their abilities were somewhat unique, otherwise you wouldn't have suffered such a crushing defeat..." Robet comforted you with a smile, "So you don't need to be so afraid. Ordinary lesser Demon shouldn't be a match for you... well, at least not for Johnny. Susan, your abilities seem a bit different, but I don't know how you performed in combat."
"I seem to be a little different from before. Before, I could only turn invisible, but now I can not only fly, but also control some objects..." Susan Storm said to Robet with some anticipation.
"Rooster Talisman? Hmm, I'll introduce you to someone later. She has a similar ability to you, except for invisibility. You two can have a good chat..." Robet said softly to Susan Storm after carefully sensing her surroundings.
"She? Is she your girlfriend?" Susan Storm blinked and looked at Robet tentatively.
"No, she's my classmate, and there are some other people who have awakened superpowers." Robet waved his hand and looked at the two of them, saying, "I was originally planning to take them to find Demon tonight, but since you called, we can work together tonight. It's also a good opportunity for you to familiarize yourselves with your abilities, how to fight, and how to deal with Demon when you encounter them..."
"Really? There are other Metahuman? How many?" Johnny Storm's eyes lit up, and he quickly looked at Robet and asked.
"Well, counting me and the two of you, that makes eight people, which is quite a lot!" Robet flashed the figures of Kara and the others before his eyes, and this was without counting Clark, Lana, or even Steve and the others.
Before anyone knew it, Robet already had a group of companions with superhuman abilities, and in terms of numbers, they were almost surpassing the Z Fighters in the Dragon Ball World...
