Put It Off Two More Days and You'll See Diana
"Alright, then you come..." Clark took a deep breath upon hearing Robet's words, adjusted his mental strength, and looked at Robet again with a solemn expression.
With a "smack!" Robet didn't hold back this time either, unleashing a powerful force that struck Clark's body. Clark's body didn't feel any force, but his soul trembled violently.
With a "whoosh," Clark felt a moment of disorientation. When he came to his senses, he had already left his body and saw his own body and Robet looking at him with a slight smile.
"How is it? How much power does your soul still retain?" Robet raised an eyebrow and asked Clark with a smile.
At this moment, Robet could sense that Clark's soul was definitely much stronger than that of an ordinary person, but compared to Clark's own body, there was a huge gap!
Regarding the soul and body, Clark and Robet are not quite the same. After all, Robet has the magical ability of ki, so even in his soul state, it does not affect Robet's strength.
But Clark is different. The vast majority of Clark's power comes from his body, from his unique genetic cells. This is the source of his current power. Even though the strength of his body makes Clark's mental strength and soul not too weak, there is still a huge gap compared to the strength of his body...
Therefore, after sensing Clark's spiritual power, Robet suddenly felt that he might be able to defeat Clark in this aspect!
"Much weaker, like I've gone back to many years ago..." Clark sensed his current soul state and said with some urgency. In this state, not only could he not help Robet deal with that Dimensional Debt Collector, but he might even be a hindrance, which was something Clark could not accept.
"Do you have any ideas?" Clark looked at Robet with some anticipation and asked, but when he saw Robet's eyes, Clark suddenly felt that he shouldn't have asked, because the answer was already obvious.
"Hehe, of course, it's through battle to familiarize yourself with your soul power!" Sure enough, Robet's soul appeared beside Clark, looking at Clark happily and saying, "Your soul is already quite powerful, but it's not as strong as your body. I don't have any way to directly strengthen your soul, but the body and soul should be able to influence each other. Maybe after you start developing your soul's power, your body will automatically improve for you?"
"Alright! Let's go!" Clark took a deep breath and realized that in his soul state, he couldn't even affect the surrounding air. As he was speaking to Clark, he quickly noticed something was wrong, because Robet's body was still able to move.
"Wait, what's going on? Why can your body still move?" Clark asked, looking at Robet's soul with confusion.
"When I used my astral projection to fight the Demon, I was thinking about something: what if my body was attacked while my soul was outside?" Robet's body shrugged and said with a smile, "After all, Kara can't protect me every moment, and I haven't reached the point where I can completely abandon my physical body..."
"So, I did some research myself and started to divide my soul power, letting a portion of it leave my body and keeping the rest within. Although it took some getting used to at first, I got used to it later. Of course, if I'm dealing with a powerful enemy, most of my soul power will still be used to fight them..."
"So you mean you don't need to use your full strength to deal with me?" Clark squinted at Robet's soul, questioning him with an unfriendly expression.
"To be honest, if you were to fight me in your physical body, even if I activated my Great Ape Transformation, I wouldn't be your match. But unfortunately, you're currently in a soul state..." A faint smile appeared on Robet's lips as he unleashed a Ki Blast directly at Clark's soul.
Clark instinctively tried to use his Heat Vision to deal with Robet, as he had always done before, but this time, the Heat Vision didn't shoot from his soul eye; it was as if he had lost that ability...
With a "bang!", Clark's soul flew out, looking somewhat disheveled. Fortunately, since a soul is not a physical entity, it didn't affect the surrounding environment much. However, this didn't mean Clark was unharmed, especially since Robet had long wanted to Infinite Aerial Combo with Clark during their battle!
Although it was just a soul, it can be considered that the goal was achieved, albeit barely!
"Bang!"
"Smack!"
"Thump!"
"When!"
Since his debut—no, since birth— Clark had never experienced such a one-sided beating where he was completely defenseless. Before Robet regained consciousness, Clark had indeed been bullied, but to be honest, those attacks were only psychological bullying; they couldn't cause him any physical harm whatsoever...
But Robet is different now. In his soul form, Robet completely overwhelmed Clark, just like before Robet grew up and was once blocked by Clark and beaten up in the sky above Savage Island. Robet even imitated a few of Clark's attacks!
Robet doesn't hold grudges at all! This was just to temper Clark's soul and make his memories more profound!
Of course, that's what Robet thought, but Clark didn't. He felt that Robet was looking for an opportunity to retaliate against him, so he wanted to get revenge too!
Unfortunately for Clark, the astute Robet had already calculated it. Although the injuries and weakness in Clark's soul weren't too severe, they would definitely affect his physical body. Clark would be extremely uncomfortable once he returned to his body...
Robet will at least have time to escape then. As for Clark, if he still wants to make a move, the leverage he and Kara hold over him is not to be underestimated!
With a "whoosh," after a long while, Clark's weak soul returned to his body. Clark could feel his body tremble, and then a feeling of weakness also appeared in Clark's body, but Clark could also feel that his body was rapidly dispelling this weakness.
With a "whoosh!" sound, Clark didn't have time to worry about that now; he wanted to grab Robet and teach him a lesson!
Unfortunately, Clark was still delayed. He was fast, but Robet was just as fast, especially since they were right next to Kent Farm. Robet could run back incredibly fast; by the time Clark had even realized what was happening, Robet had already flown straight home...
"Crack! Crack!" Clark glared at Robet, who was getting more and more annoying as he grew older, and his fist hardened.
"Don't do anything reckless! I'm just trying to help you enhance your soul power. What you should be doing now is sensing how your soul is doing, not trying to deal with me!" Just then, Robet's voice rang in Clark's mind.
"Of course, if you don't want to continue improving your soul power in the future, then that's fine, and I can save myself some trouble..."
Hearing Robet's words, Clark's expression softened slightly. He understood that before a suitable cultivation method was available, this method of using one's own regenerative abilities to enhance the strength of the soul was indeed effective. However, Robet's methods were too infuriating, and the intent of revenge and provocation was too strong!
"Since you're so right, why are you running?" Clark asked, looking in Robet's direction with a hint of annoyance, after recovering a bit.
"Who told you your fists are big enough? Didn't I say this when I was talking about those dimensions? Might makes right. Even if I'm right, who knows if you'll vent your anger first before trying to reason with me?" Robet saw it clearly. If he hadn't run away quickly, even if he had spoken up first, Clark wouldn't have believed him at all.
"We'll continue tomorrow!" Clark glared in Robet's direction, slowly closed his eyes, and in a flash, soared into the sky to find a place to bask in the sun.
"Can sunbathing speed up recovery? Should we let Kara get some more sun?" Robet glanced at Kara, who was chatting happily with Lana, and then shook his head. Robet had talked about Kara's path to becoming stronger many times, but it still depended on Kara herself to take the initiative to complete it.
And so, Clark spent these days improving his soul strength under Robet. At first, Robet was interested in sparring with Clark's soul, but later Robet simply chose to bombard Clark's soul, injuring him, in order to reduce training time...
During the same period, Kara repeatedly challenged Robet, but even when Robet didn't use the Great Ape Power: Wrath transformation, Kara couldn't gain the upper hand. Moreover, each time Kara would provoke Robet, forcing Robet to use the Great Ape Power: Wrath to show her a more powerful fighting force, defeating Kara and leaving her completely utterly defeated and never uttering another word.
"WTF?!"
Oh my god?!
"A generous gift of crabs!"
"You scoundrel!"
Soon, the holiday ended, and when Kara, beaming with pride, walked into the classroom with Robet's arm around her, everyone, whether they knew Robet or not, gasped in surprise.
At first, the classmates even thought that Kara had changed boyfriends, but upon closer inspection, Robet's appearance hadn't changed much; at most, she had just grown up. Moreover, Robet's hairstyle hadn't changed either; her flowing, gravity-defying hair was still quite distinctive, quickly helping the classmates recognize Robet's identity.
"Robet, is it really you?!" Lorna rushed over without any restraint, her eyes shining as she looked at Robet and asked, completely ignoring Kara standing to the side.
Lorna hadn't expected Robet to change so much in just one short vacation. While Lorna initially harbored slightly different feelings for Robet, it was mostly out of a desire to spite Kara and her curiosity about Robet. But now, Lorna found herself even more curious, especially since Robet looked much more handsome and mature than before...
"Who else could it be?" Robet nodded, smiled at Pietro and Peter Parker who were running over, and asked softly, but the next moment he felt his arm being pinched.
"You still dare to answer her? You still dare to smile at her?" Kara followed with an angry telepathic message. Now that Kara had been taught Mind Reading, communication between Kara and Robet was much easier. She would stay up late at night to talk to Robet telepathically, without worrying about being overheard.
"I didn't smile at her, I smiled at Peter and the others..." Robet felt wronged and quickly explained.
"Hmph! You barely paid any attention to her before, why did you answer her? Didn't you see her eyes were glued to you?" Kara's expression changed, but her voice became indignant. "I'm warning you, it was one thing for Diana, but there absolutely cannot be another..."
"So what if Diana is there?" Robet was also good at seizing opportunities. His eyes lit up slightly as he looked into Kara's eyes and asked telepathically. He realized that his battles over the past few days had not been in vain; Kara finally knew how powerful he was.
"Hmph!" Robet's reply was Kara's dissatisfied snort, and the increasing pressure on her arm.
Based on this force, Robet felt that he should be able to go see Diana in a couple of days. Hopefully, Diana could hold out, and it wouldn't be too late for him, right?
Kara keenly sensed that Robet's thoughts were clearly starting to wander. She became even angrier and tightened her grip, but she couldn't bear to actually hurt Robet. Finally, her eyes began to redden.
Seeing this, Robet quickly hugged Kara and decided to postpone it for two more days. Just two more days, maybe he could wait until the Dimensional Debt Collector's superior came over before he went to explain to Diana.
Classmates: (,,#Д) How did they get together like that? These are Kara and Robet, aren't they supposed to avoid showing affection in public?
"Hey! We're still here! Do you have to be so oblivious to everyone else?" Lorna, standing nearby, curled her lip at the sight. She didn't know what had happened between Kara and Robet, but she guessed that Kara must have used underhanded means to win Robet over during the holiday while Robet was growing up!
This made Lorna feel somewhat resentful. Why did Kara get all the good West City? Not only was she powerful, but her boyfriend was also incredibly capable. Before Robet had fully matured, Lorna's reaction wasn't so strong, especially since Robet and Kara were only close, not intimate...
But things are different now. Lorna, who is completely unaware of what's going on, is even starting to wonder if Kara is deliberately asserting her dominance in front of her?
If so, there should be a second half. Their little team hasn't seen each other for a whole holiday. Susan Storm and Johnny Storm will be coming over tonight, then we'll find out...
