Signals and the Wandering Kryptonian
Although Clark didn't know much about his biological father before, Jor-El's identity as a scientist and his act of risking his life to send him out of Krypton filled him with gratitude towards this father he had never met, who had given him a life completely different from that of ordinary Kryptonian.
Otherwise, Clark wouldn't have accepted Jor-El's identity so quickly upon first seeing him...
However, in Clark's eyes, Jor-El's personality now seems somewhat unreliable, and even the filter he had placed on Jor-El has begun to crumble.
"So what if you have a girlfriend? It doesn't conflict with anything..." However, what Jor-El said next made Clark's face darken even more, "After all, you are one of the last Kryptonian!"
"You'd better not let my brother hear you say that, or this spaceship might not be enough for him to dismantle!" Clark said to Jor-El after regaining his senses. He couldn't accept Jor-El saying these things now, but he Clark worried that if Kara arrived and Robet heard them, the spaceship would be dismantled.
Even though the Kryptonian ' technology is indeed advanced, and their spaceships are far superior to those of Earth, Clark doesn't believe that this single spaceship can withstand the destructive power of a planet-shattering attack...
"Your brother?" Jor-El was taken aback by Clark's words. Could it be that a third Kryptonian had come to Earth? But they didn't have a brother.
"That ship isn't from Krypton, it belongs to my brother. His name is Robet, he's Saiyan. Have you ever heard of the Saiyan race?" Clark said, pointing to the smaller Saiyan single-hulled ship next to the two ships.
"Saiyan? Never heard of them..." Jor-El's eyes flickered slightly. The Krypton database was frantically searching, but ultimately yielded nothing. Saiyan had never existed in this universe, so how could he possibly find Saiyan civilization?
"However, judging from the condition of the spaceship, this civilization's level isn't particularly high. Of course, it's definitely higher than Earth's, but in the context of the universe, this spaceship's level can only be considered mid-range... Hmm?"
"Hmm?" Jor-El suddenly stopped speaking, and Clark, who was standing next to him, also raised his eyebrows and looked at Lois, who had just been unconscious.
To be honest, Clark hadn't expected Lois to wake up so early. During Clark observation, although he had forcibly stopped Lois's injuries, Lois should have remained unconscious for a long time due to excessive blood loss and the excruciating pain from her Heat Vision.
However, Lois's willpower was stronger than Clark had imagined. In such a short time, she woke up directly. After waking up, she didn't care about her injuries or ask where she was. Instead, she once again extended an invitation to Clark: "Mr. Superman, may I interview you?"
"Sorry, I don't want to be interviewed..." Clark shook his head. Although Jor-El had said that his heart was beating faster than usual, Clark had no intention of being interviewed at this moment. He had been a journalist before, and those journalists had also wanted to interview Clark, but Clark had refused them all.
"Why? The people have the right to know why you protected them..." Lois subconsciously questioned Clark about his right to know. This was a professional habit of Lois's, even though she had a good impression of Clark and even though Clark had saved her before.
"So, does every superhero need to have their name and story told? In your mind, are superheroes only seen as superheroes? Can't they be ordinary people in their daily lives?" Clark had originally planned to send Lois away directly, but for some reason, perhaps because there was no one else around, he unusually asked a couple of questions.
"Superheroes are just ordinary people too?" A hint of hesitation flashed in Lois's eyes. She hadn't thought about this before. After all, the only superhero whose identity is currently known is Tony Stark, and when Captain America Steve Rogers, was created, the concept of a superhero didn't exist.
But whether it's Steve or Tony Stark, their identities are pretty well-known, and their reasons for becoming superheroes are quite clear: one doesn't want the war to continue, and the other is a playboy who has turned over a new leaf.
And what about Superman? Humans know nothing about Superman. They only know that Superman appears in the face of danger and saves those who are about to be in danger. Superman is almost omnipotent. He is sunny and handsome and is an idol in the hearts of countless people. In fact, many people's gods are based on Superman.
Therefore, Lois only wanted to report on Superman's deeds; she didn't consider that the god-like Superman might also be an ordinary person...
"That's right. Every superhero has their own life, Superman is no exception. Please allow a superhero to have their own identity and life!" Clark nodded and looked at Lois seriously as he spoke.
"Please allow a superhero to have his own identity and life..." Lois subconsciously repeated Clark's words, feeling a touch of emotion. As a journalist, her calm thinking and empathy were top-notch, and she heard the story behind the superhero in Clark's voice.
"Um, I'm not interviewing you, but could I ask you a few questions?" Lois snapped out of her reverie. She knew she hadn't thought things through before, but now, Clark, who had shed some of his divinity and possessed some ordinary human characteristics, was even more attractive to Lois. Her eyes flickered slightly as she looked at Clark expectantly and asked, "I promise, I absolutely won't tell anyone about this!"
At this moment, Lois's gaze was indeed different from the previous burning, even somewhat purposeful, look; now, Lois's gaze was filled with more anticipation and longing...
"..." Clark saw Lois's eyes. His reason told him to refuse, but he instinctively nodded and said softly, "Ask away."
Clark could sense that after he finished speaking, Jor-El was not far away, nodded in satisfaction. Clark immediately wanted to ask, "Satisfied my foot!"
Clark felt there was definitely something wrong with Jor-El's AI; he simply couldn't believe his biological father had such a slightly repressed and eccentric personality...
General Zod might have something to say about this, and coincidentally, when this Kryptonian Ship started up, it released a signal that was picked up by General Zod and his crew in the distant universe.
"Signal fluctuations from Kryptonian Ship?" General Zod and his men had initially thought they would be the last survivors of Krypton, but the sudden appearance of Kryptonian Ship signal fluctuations excited General Zod.
Back then, because Krypton was about to Devastation, General Zod and his men launched a rebellion, which was eventually suppressed by the Elder Council and he was exiled to the Phantom Zone. However, General Zod and his men eventually escaped and wandered the universe, making a living as mercenaries.
Of course, General Zod and his companions were not wandering aimlessly; they also wanted to rebuild Krypton's glory and create a brand new Krypton.
However, even though the universe is vast and boundless, finding a suitable planet is not so easy, and many planets are already occupied.
Moreover, and most importantly, creating a new Krypton requires more than just a planet; it also requires the right to pass on the legacy.
The Codex, containing countless gene pools of Krypton, was sent out of Krypton along with the infant Clark, and its whereabouts remain unknown. How could General Zod and his forces possibly create a new Krypton?
Relying on natural reproduction? That was theoretically obsolete by Krypton, and even though Krypton is now obsolete, General Zod still didn't choose that method...
After all, there were too few General Zod and his men, and it would take far too long to give birth to a child.
This doesn't even take into account the issue of children needing re-education after they grow up without specific career paths for Kryptonian.
Especially since General Zod and others are genetic templates for warriors, they wouldn't know how to teach their children anything else. They can't have all their descendants be warriors, making a living as mercenaries in space, can they?
Therefore, General Zod never gave up on finding the location of the Codex. After all, Clark was sent away in front of General Zod. Of course, it would be great if he could find other Kryptonian companions in the vast universe.
"According to the spaceship's system analysis, this signal comes from the House of El..." Soon, the female adjutant Faora looked at General Zod excitedly and began to speak. Everyone present knew what the House of El's signal meant; it meant that they had finally found the clues to Clark and the Codex!
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" General Zod gave the order instinctively.
"Um, about the bounty mission we accepted before?" Faora hesitated, looking at General Zod as she reminded him, "Our ship is running low on energy, and the penalty for breach of contract is quite high..."
If they no longer need to roam the universe, then they won't need to worry about breach of contract penalties. However, even if they find the Codex, General Zod and the others cannot completely isolate themselves from the universe.
Moreover, it's clear that General Zod and his group don't have the ability to overturn the table right now. Without the illumination of the Yellow Sun, General Zod General Zod only be considered to have above-average life quality in the universe. It is only with their Krypton weapons and warrior templates that they are able to stand in the universe.
While there are other places in the universe where there are yellow suns, there are very few places with an environment as suitable as the sun and Earth, and General Zod and his men would not stay near a yellow sun.
It's important to understand that even if the Yellow Sun granted the Kryptonian superpowers, it would still take time for them to adapt. General Zod and the others' warrior templates would allow them to adapt much faster, but the physical discomfort and the fear of the unknown due to their lack of experience would still make them subconsciously keep their distance from the Yellow General Zod, especially since the armor they wore already granted them considerable strength.
"Then let's lock onto the target and complete this mission first!" Since the Devastation of Krypton, General Zod has learned what it means to be unable to cook without rice. Even if he yearns for the Codex, he still needs to eat, especially since the distance from here to Earth is not short in the universe.
Clark was unaware that the signal sent by the spaceship's activation had been discovered by General Zod and his men. Even if he had known, Clark would probably have felt a sense of anticipation, since he hadn't seen any other living Kryptonian besides Kara.
Moreover, although Clark was kind by nature, he was still angry when he learned that Jor-El had been killed by General Zod, even though he had never actually met Jor-El, who was still Clark's biological father.
Therefore, if General Zod and his men really did appear, Clark wouldn't mind avenging his biological father!
After all, this Clark is somewhat different from the Clark in the regular universe...
"I'm very fast; I can circle the Earth in almost no time, so I can travel to different places around the world..." Clark was explaining to Lois why he could travel all over the globe.
"Does that mean we don't need visas?" Lois's thoughts wandered a bit, but she quickly regained her composure and continued, "Then how did you discover that those people were about to encounter danger? Did you use technological means, like Tony Stark, Iron Man?"
Even though she had abandoned the formal interview approach, Lois's questioning style still resembled an interview when Clark actually began answering questions, though Clark seemed somewhat used to it?
"My eyesight and hearing are far superior to those of the average person, allowing me to detect danger in advance..." Clark explained softly.
"Could it be that you really are an alien, and this is your spaceship? The spaceship traces discovered by the military, is this it?" Hearing Clark's words, Lois realized something and tentatively asked, looking around at the spaceship's structure.
"Yes, I am indeed an alien..." Clark didn't hide anything from Lois's question. After all, he had already saved Lois, and she had witnessed everything; he couldn't just kill her, could he?
Moreover, Clark didn't know why, but he felt quite comfortable talking to Lois. This comfort didn't come from Clark's heart, but from Clark body, as if, just as Jor-El had said, Clark's genes had chosen Lois...
"Sure enough, they seem to have a lot to talk about." Jor-El nodded in satisfaction, not intending to interrupt them. As for the potential problems with Clark revealing his identity, Jor-El wasn't worried. Clark had already found his path and needed Joel's guidance in this regard...
