Poisoned and Arriving
Under Naxhi's watchful gaze, the Avengers gradually realized something was amiss. The first to react was, of course, Tony Stark, whose physical attributes were the weakest and who wasn't particularly strong even among ordinary people.
"What's going on? I feel a little dizzy?" Looking at the Spider-Man Army below, Tony Stark shook his head and muttered to himself, somewhat puzzled.
"Did you have a stress reaction to seeing these Spider-Man? Does that mean you won't be able to see Spider-Man anymore?" Pietro, whose physical abilities were clearly far superior to Tony Stark's, shrugged and glanced at the Spider-Man Army below, teasingly asking, "What do you mean? Are we just watching from up there? Didn't you develop any device in your Mecha to grab people?"
"Something's not right! Something feels off!" Just as Pietro was asking, Barry Allen, who hadn't recovered from his injuries, also felt dizzy. A chill ran down his spine as he recalled the poison that had seeped out after Spider-Man's death. His expression changed drastically, and he quickly alerted the Avengers, "Do any of you feel anything? Could there be poison in the air as well?"
"Hmm!?" The Avengers ' expressions all changed. Tony Stark was the first to give the order, "Jarvis, activate the internal circulation system first, then scan our bodies!"
"Buzz!"
"Buzz!"
At the same time, Lorna and Susan Storm almost simultaneously erected their force fields, trying to isolate everything around them. Unfortunately, the area was already a poisonous zone. Even with Susan Storm force fields erected, the air was still filled with toxins, and Lorna Avengers remained trapped within this zone, unable to leave!
"Sir! Something is wrong with your body. Judging from the symptoms, you are indeed poisoned. However, I haven't detected any toxins in the air. Perhaps this toxin is completely different from any known toxins on Earth..." Jarvis's voice quickly rang out.
"I'm sorry, it's my fault! After those Spider-Man died, there wasn't much poison around that clashed with my power. It turns out they were all hidden here. The poison here has already blended into the air. Even if I wanted to completely eliminate them, it would take a long time!" At the same time, Lorna's voice rang out, filled with deep apology.
During the battle, Lorna didn't feel much of the toxin impacting her force field. Lorna initially thought it was because the area where the Spider-Man died was far from where they were, limiting the range of the toxin.
Lorna hadn't anticipated that the enemy had already set up a poisonous trap, waiting for them to walk right in, affecting each and every one of them and causing their condition to deteriorate over time...
"It's not your fault. If I hadn't insisted on taking off, things wouldn't have turned out this way..." Tony Stark slowly shook his head, his condition worsening. He forced himself to speak, "Besides, this was all part of their plan. The mastermind hasn't shown up yet, but this guy is definitely more cunning and treacherous than any of the Hell Demon King we know, and he's much more inclined to use conspiracies and tricks!"
Tony Stark had to admit that the hidden Naxhi was indeed very composed. Even now, after being poisoned, Naxhi showed no intention of revealing himself to declare victory. Furthermore, the Spider-Man Army below showed no sign of attacking them in mid-air, as if forcing them here was enough to complete their plan...
Within minutes, more and more Avengers began to pant heavily, even Lorna and Susan Storm, who both possessed energy fields. In fact, they were working even harder as they tried to help the Avengers expel the toxins.
Unfortunately, compared to the initial toxins, the current ones are much more deeply entrenched, seemingly integrated with the surrounding environment, making them extremely difficult to dispel. The Avengers don't know where to retreat, as Jarvis cannot detect the extent of the toxins in the area, and Avengers don't even know where is safe...
"Let's retreat! This can't go on! Even if the Saiyan come, they might not be able to handle this kind of poison..." Steve, relying on his strong willpower, gritted his teeth and looked at Tony Stark, suggesting.
"Where should we retreat to? The Mecha can move freely, but judging from the scheming ability of that guy behind the scenes, he probably already predicted our next move. If we act rashly, we might fall into a new trap..." Tony Stark felt his mind was becoming somewhat unclear. He tried to rouse himself, but couldn't find a suitable way to break the deadlock.
"No! We can't just sit here and wait to die! We have to force the person behind this to come out first!" Johnny Storm couldn't stand it anymore. Flames surged around him, causing his Mecha to deform. Under the influence of the toxin, the Avengers not only suffered serious physical problems, but their mental state was also affected.
With a "whoosh!", Johnny Storm was the first to take control of his Mecha and leave the Avengers' location. He wanted to see who would try to stop him!
With a Johnny Storm had only flown a short distance when he crashed into something invisible. If his Mecha hadn't protected him, he would have been stunned on the spot.
"Hmm? This feels so familiar..." A hint of confusion flashed in Johnny Storm's eyes. He stared blankly at the place in front of him. There was nothing in front of him, but he had indeed just bumped into something like a wall.
With a "whoosh," just as Johnny Storm was still in a daze, the surrounding space fluctuated, and then Johnny Storm's body returned to the Avengers ' side, looking even more bewildered.
"Did I just leave?" Due to the change in his surroundings and a bit of dizziness, Johnny Storm looked at the Avengers around him with a confused expression and asked.
"We're really trapped here!" Morbius, whose resistance to poison was higher than the other Avengers, said gravely, "This is probably some kind of domain, somewhere between the Dark Space and the Saiyan's Telekinetic Barrier. We probably can't leave now, even if we wanted to. But what are they trying to do by trapping us here? Are they just waiting for us to be poisoned to death?"
"I don't know, he must have some kind of scheme..." Pietro slowly shook his head. In this state, he had no interest in joking or lightening the mood. He stared at the Spider-Man Army below and said, "Speak, he wouldn't be thinking of turning us into these people, would he?"
"Does that mean we'll all become Spider-Man? But after becoming Spider-Man, we'll probably become his puppets!" Morbius complained, looking at the Spider-Man Army who resembled zombies and had no self-awareness.
"The gentleman has fainted, and Mr. Allen is also struggling..." Just then, Jarvis's voice rang out. Although it was a super artificial intelligence, Jarvis didn't know what it should do.
The surrounding air was filled with toxins, but Jarvis couldn't detect them at all. Johnny Storm's Mecha had just been forcibly transferred back, indicating that forcing its way out was impossible. Jarvis felt that the only way to break the deadlock now was to wait for Robet to arrive.
It must be said that Naxhi's patience is truly remarkable. He didn't appear even after Tony Stark and Barry Allen both fell unconscious. It wasn't until only Morbius among the Avengers was still barely conscious that the Spider-Man Army below finally made a new move.
"Laugh!"
"Laugh!"
"Laugh!"
Spider sprayed towards the Avengers ' Mecha. Jarvis was still able to control the Mecha, but Jarvis didn't do so. He also wanted to see if the person hiding so deeply behind the scenes was Richard Parker.
Of course, there was another crucial reason why Jarvis didn't make a move: Robet was almost there!
Soon, with the combined efforts of the Spider-Man Army, the Mecha were bound into Spider Cocoon and pulled from mid-air to the ground. At that moment, a figure finally emerged from the shadows.
"Well done, my children!" Naxhi looked at the Spider-Man Army with satisfaction and nodded with a smile. Although these Spider-Man Army did not have self-awareness, that did not prevent Naxhi from communicating with them. After all, the joy of victory should be shared.
Naxhi possessed a strong sense of self-discipline. He knew that as a villain, he shouldn't waste time talking before the superheroes were completely defeated. Therefore, he chose to capture the Avengers and then briefly speak with his Spider-Man Army, expressing his emotions...
"Next, I can turn you all into my children. However, Peter Parker can be released first, and Harry Osborn? I really didn't expect that Richard could barely turn Harry into one as well..." Naxhi's gaze fell on the cocoons of Peter Parker and Harry Osborn. He could clearly sense that within these two cocoons were hosts to his power.
"Click!"
"Click!"
Under Naxhi's watchful eye, Spider-Man quickly stepped forward, peeled back the cocoon, and disassembled the Mecha. To ordinary people, Tony Stark's Mecha were practically indestructible, but for these mutated Spider-Man, who possessed immense strength, disassembling the Mecha was not difficult, especially since these Spider-Man were completely unafraid of injury...
"Wake up, my child! You truly are the perfect host for my power. Your genes are indeed far more perfect than these people's!" Naxhi smiled slightly as he looked at Peter Parker, then waved Peter Parker hand, and a dark light merged into Peter Parker's body.
With a "whoosh!" Peter Parker opened his eyes the next moment, and could vaguely see a Spider mark in Peter Parker pupil.
"Tsk tsk tsk, truly perfect. If I didn't want you to lead these Avengers and the Spider Army, I would really like to make you my host. I imagine my power could be further unleashed on you, right?" Naxhi looked at Peter Parker with some admiration, then muttered with some regret.
In Naxhi's perception, Peter Parker, further enhanced by his own power, was simply the perfect host for his body, as if it had been meticulously crafted for him, which made Naxhi's heart flutter.
"Bear with it, let's wait until we conquer this universe!" Naxhi took a deep breath, finally managing to control himself, and looked at Harry Osborn. "Well, you've only undergone initial modifications. Now, let me help you complete the subsequent modifications... Hmm?!"
"Call out!"
Before Naxhi could finish speaking, his expression suddenly changed, and he looked up at the sky where a beam of light was flying towards Naxhi. Naxhi felt a powerful force within the light and instinctively dodged away, abandoning his attempt to continue channeling power into Harry Osborn.
With a "whoosh!" sound, however, to Naxhi's surprise, when he dodged the beam of light energy, the light energy actually turned a corner and rushed towards his body again!
"What the hell?!" A flash of anger crossed Naxhi's eyes, and then a surge of energy gathered on his claws, which he thrust fiercely at the beam of light.
With a "poof!" sound, the light energy was pierced on the spot and slowly dissipated. But at this moment, the large cocoons behind Naxhi, as well as Peter Parker and Harry Osborn who were not in the cocoons, had disappeared from their original positions. They put on their Mecha again, came out of the cocoons, and flew into the air.
"What the hell? Poison?" Robet's figure also appeared here. He frowned, and as a precaution, he covered his body with a layer of Ki Barrier. At the same time, he spread out a ball of air to create an absolutely flawless Energy Barrier that included the Avengers. He was surrounded by the light of Healing Spell.
With a "whoosh," the Avengers snapped back to reality in an instant. They saw Robet in front of them and breathed a sigh of relief.
"What am I doing?" Peter Parker also regained consciousness at this moment, a glint of surprise flashing in his eyes. It wasn't just because his body was many times stronger than before, but more importantly, he had finally regained control of his body. He no longer needed to be a helpless third party watching his body being controlled by others. "Great! I've finally recovered!"
