"I do not know of any journey to the West. From this day forward, neither will there be one." The Jade Emperor chuckled.

Before leaving the Western Teachings, she had assured Tathagata that Guanyin would handle this matter beautifully.

"What is so good about following the Western Teachings? Cihang, why not join my Heavenly Court instead?" the Jade Emperor said with a light laugh.

"Jade Emperor, what exactly do you want?" Bodhisattva Guanyin asked.

"You, of course. Didn't I just say so? Join my Heavenly Court, and I'll grant you wealth and honor." The Jade Emperor teased.

"Amitabha. I am a disciple of the Buddhist sect."

"So there is nothing to discuss?" the Jade Emperor asked.

"Nothing to discuss," Guanyin answered.

"Then leave."

Guanyin: "..."

Why had this Jade Emperor become such a rogue?

Something was wrong. Very wrong.

"The scripture-seeking party must be allowed through."

"Didn't you say there was nothing to discuss? The matter is settled." The Jade Emperor's voice turned cold.

"Please enlighten me, Your Majesty." Guanyin spoke again.

"Since Bodhisattva Guanyin has asked again and again, I shall tell you. The journey to the West does not exist."

"Jade Emperor, are you not afraid that a Saint of my sect will descend?"

The Jade Emperor rose to his feet, standing straight as a ramrod, imperial majesty surging endlessly from him. "Hmph. Within the Three Realms, I alone reign supreme. Even if a Saint comes, they must still treat me with proper respect."

"Hahaha, what a Jade Emperor! You are merely a Dao Ancestor's attendant boy, yet you dare put on such airs!" Guanyin snapped in fury.

The temperature in the Hall of Miraculous Mist plummeted.

All the gods shuddered.

Taibai Jinxing watched Guanyin with cold eyes.

Yang Jian's eyes burned with anger as he too stared at Guanyin.

This Guanyin truly did not know whether she lived or died!

"You dare insult the Heavenly Emperor? Someone, slap her mouth!" The Jade Emperor flew into a rage.

Taibai Jinxing had been waiting for this!

How could he possibly let such a chance to perform slip away? In an instant, he charged at Guanyin.
