Appearance
Bibi Dong’s papal appearance combines exquisite beauty with an imposing presence; her divine form replaces that ceremonial elegance with imagery of resentment, death, and curses 166 388.
- As Pope: Snow-fair skin, exquisitely beautiful features, and pink eyes; wears a purple papal robe and the Nine-Curve Purple Gold Crown 166.
- Ceremonial scepter: Nearly two meters long and embedded with countless jewels 166.
- As the Rakshasa God: Wears violet-black divine armor and has eyes consumed by dark-red evil light during her confrontation with Zhang Bufan 388.
- Armor details: Twisted patterns resemble wronged souls howling in agony; a visor conceals most of her face 416.
- Rakshasa True Form: A hundred-zhang-tall demon god with six arms and three mouths 393.
Personality
Bibi Dong initially presents herself as controlled, authoritative, and uncompromising. She treats opposition to Spirit Hall as grounds for destruction, but is capable of caution: after witnessing Zhang Bufan’s inexplicable strength, she hesitates to attack because failure could bring catastrophe upon her organization 45 170.
Repeated humiliation turns that caution into an obsession with retaliation. She interprets the theft of Spirit Hall’s intelligence as a personal assault on her authority and proceeds with the exposed Soul Hunt operation despite the increased risks. As Spirit Hall declines, jealousy of Zhang Bufan’s power, prosperity, loyal followers, and relationship with Huo Wu feeds increasingly destructive decisions 285 328.
Her ambition ultimately overrides both doctrine and family loyalty. She accepts civilian deaths as necessary sacrifices, uses childhood memories to manipulate Qian Renxue, and attacks her daughter when persuasion fails. Zhang Bufan identifies hatred, ambition, and the Void’s influence as causes of her unstable, self-destructive use of divine power 392 414 419.
Her eventual cooperation begins through fear of annihilation rather than reconciliation. Nevertheless, she resists her godhead’s urge to merge with the Void, contributes precise battlefield intelligence, and leaves the plane with much of her obsessive hatred diminished 434 438 462.
Abilities & Skills
Rakshasa Divine Power
The Rakshasa God Position governs negative laws, including resentment, death, and curses. Zhang Bufan distinguishes those laws from Bibi Dong’s misuse of them, stating that the power itself is not inherently good or evil 392.
- Exerts oppressive divine pressure; an uncontrolled release chills the Pope’s Palace and forms black ice on its walls and pillars 285.
- Supports attacks capable of corroding a Divine Soul and tearing apart a divine body 419.
- Resonates with the Lord of the Void’s aura, giving her some resistance to its devouring power while also tempting her toward absorption and loss of identity 434.
- Is unsuitable for treating Zhang Bufan’s injuries: Bibi Dong judges that its destructive, resentful nature would cause more harm than good 447.
Domains and Barriers
- Rakshasa Domain — Myriad Souls Devour Heaven: Expands a dark-red domain containing resentful souls that become weapons, ghosts, and demonic shadows. Their shrieks corrode the soul, and the domain clashes directly with Huo Wu’s Flame God Domain 392.
- Purgatory Domain: Unleashed against Zhang Bufan and Qian Renxue after her daughter’s defection; Zhang Bufan dispels it 416.
- Rakshasa Barrier: Creates layered purple-black defenses covered in distorted vengeful faces to resist attacking Void Tentacles 394.
Divine Attacks
- Rakshasa World-Annihilating Slash: Used alongside Qian Renxue’s Angel Sword of Judgment during their opening assault on Zhang Bufan 388.
- Fallen Judgment: A combined divine skill with Qian Renxue, effortlessly neutralized by Zhang Bufan 391.
- Rakshasa — Ghost Shadow Slash: Used during a coordinated assault with the Void Tentacles 417.
- Rakshasa Six Paths World Destruction: Her strongest attack in the later confrontation; Zhang Bufan counters it with one palm strike 417.
Rakshasa True Form
Bibi Dong burns her Origin Divine Power to assume a gigantic Rakshasa Demon God form 392 393.
- Generates a dense, corrosive Rakshasa Grudge Power field 393.
- Manifests her godhead’s core between the demon god’s brows as a miniature purple-black scythe phantom 393.
- Becomes immobilized when Zhang Bufan seizes that core with two fingers; her attempts to break free cannot dislodge him 393.
- Overdrawing divine power and sustaining damage to her godhead severely reduce her later combat strength 400 401.
Destruction-Law Perception
Her affinity with destruction becomes useful against the Lord of the Void when Zhang Bufan assigns her to locate its core and structural weaknesses 436.
- Reports unstable energy nodes and changes in the enemy’s internal energy flow 437 438.
- Refines her reports into faster, more precise coordinates and occasionally warns of disturbances before they develop 438.
- Suffers growing godhead backlash, eventually causing delays and errors in her perception 438.
- Receives relief from Qian Renxue’s Sacred Blessing while suppressing the disturbance within her godhead 438.
Command and Covert Operations
- Commands bishops, cardinals, elders, and Spirit Hall’s secret Shadow assassination unit 187 256 285.
- Deploys surveillance disguised as an engagement gift and later orders Huo Wu’s capture or assassination 187 256.
- Authorizes the deployment of Divine Servants—Evil Soul Masters controlled through Rakshasa Divine Power and sinister arts 328.
- Maintains sacrificial contingencies involving Rakshasa and Void power, including a monster summoned through the deaths of hundreds of soul masters 418.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Papal robe and Nine-Curve Purple Gold Crown — Ceremonial regalia worn during the tournament finals 166.
- Jeweled scepter — A nearly two-meter symbol of papal authority, repeatedly gripped during moments of anger or tension 48 166 328.
- Rakshasa Divine Armor — Violet-black armor bearing twisted, resentful-soul patterns; later damaged during the divine war 388 400 416.
- Rakshasa Demon Scythe — An enormous purple-black divine weapon whose dark radiance unsettles the mind; used in attacks against both Zhang Bufan and Qian Renxue 416 419.
- “A Dragon and Phoenix Bringing Auspiciousness” jade carving — Sent to Zhang Bufan and Huo Wu as an engagement gift with a hidden surveillance Soul Tool. Zhang Bufan destroys the device and gives the carving to Yue Ling’er 187.
Relationships
- Qian Renxue — Her daughter and fellow divine inheritor. They fight together against Zhang Bufan, but Qian Renxue rejects her mother’s willingness to sacrifice the world to the Void. Bibi Dong attacks her after the split; they later cooperate against the common threat and depart together in search of redemption 388 414 419 438 462.
- Zhang Bufan — Her principal enemy. His victories repeatedly undermine Spirit Hall and her authority. After learning that he is the reincarnated Creation Ruler, she reluctantly follows his command against the Lord of the Void 170 285 431 436.
- Huo Wu — A target of Bibi Dong’s hatred toward Zhang Bufan’s household. Bibi Dong orders her capture or death; Huo Wu later leads the Allied Forces’ effort to subdue her 256 328 400.
- Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan — Students whose tournament victory she expects to uphold Spirit Hall’s prestige 45.
- Ghost Shadow Douluo — Commander of the Shadow unit, entrusted with the mission against Huo Wu 256.
- Ghost Douluo Guimei and Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan — Subordinates who deliver reports and attempt to moderate her response to the intelligence leak, ultimately obeying her escalation orders 285 286.
- Douluo Qianjun — A level-98 consecrated elder deployed as a major trump card against Zhang Bufan. His defeat with one punch leaves Bibi Dong enraged and Spirit Hall demoralized 286 296.
- Long Aotian — A battlefield opponent whose close-range, Evil-Banishing lightning assaults prevent her from freely casting stronger divine skills 400 401.
- Lord of the Void — A dangerous collaborator she hopes to use to weaken Zhang Bufan. Its attacks disregard her supposed alliance, and its influence threatens to consume her consciousness 394 414 434.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Tournament Rivalry and Covert Surveillance
Before the finals, Bibi Dong declares that anyone obstructing Spirit Hall must be destroyed and expects her students to secure victory. Yan’s defeat visibly strains her composure. During the later finals against Bufan Academy, she presides over the competition but becomes wary when Zhang Bufan displays power she cannot identify as ordinary Soul Power 45 48 166 168.
Following the Golden Generation’s defeat, she weighs retaliation against the possibility that attacking Zhang Bufan could endanger Spirit Hall. The confrontation ends without her intervening. She subsequently sends a disguised surveillance device to his engagement feast, only for him to detect and destroy it in front of the delivering bishop 170 187.
Assassination and the Soul Hunt Escalation
Bibi Dong abandons covert restraint by authorizing Shadow to capture Huo Wu alive or kill her if capture proves impossible. Zhang Bufan defeats the assassins and returns seven “corpses” to Spirit City with a taunting note, further intensifying her anger 256 259.
Spirit Hall then exposes Yue Ling’er’s identity and declares Bufan Academy an enemy of the continent. Zhang Bufan publicly answers the challenge by promising Yue Ling’er the heads of Bibi Dong and the Star Luo emperor 276.
His infiltration of Spirit Hall’s archives reveals both her God Trial progress and “Soul Hunt (Sequel): Final Reckoning,” a plan to destroy the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. The operation also serves to test new power and probe Zhang Bufan’s capabilities 281 282.
After learning that the plan has leaked, Bibi Dong refuses to postpone it and raises the operation’s target level. She deploys Douluo Qianjun against Zhang Bufan, but his one-punch defeat delivers a decisive blow to Spirit Hall’s morale and her confidence 285 286 296.
Destructive War Campaign
With the Alliance’s economic blockade tightening and neutral factions abandoning Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong orders Iron Wall City, Golden Ear Plain, and Sea Watch Cape reduced to scorched earth within three days. She releases Divine Servants into the armies and dismisses warnings that using Evil Soul Masters will destroy Spirit Hall’s remaining public support 328.
When those offensives fail, she shifts toward vulnerable logistical targets. Zhang Bufan annihilates the elite squad sent against Heaven Dou’s North Granary, causing her to cough blood and collapse onto her throne. In seclusion afterward, she questions whether even completed godhood can overcome him 330 331.
Ascension and Defeat in Spirit City
During the Allied Forces’ attack on Spirit City, Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue ascend to their respective divine positions and jointly attack Zhang Bufan. Their combined skills fail, and Bibi Dong’s attempt to overpower him through her Rakshasa True Form ends with her godhead seized between his fingers 388 391 392 393.
The Void then attacks all sides, including its supposed collaborators. Despite her injuries and depleted divine power, Bibi Dong rejects an ultimatum to surrender her divine position. Huo Wu’s coordinated forces contain her while Long Aotian’s lightning attacks aggravate the cracks in her godhead 394 400 401.
Qian Renxue’s Defection and the Final Contingency
The destruction of Spirit Hall’s elders does not persuade Bibi Dong to stop. Instead, she celebrates the deaths of elders she considered obstructive and proposes using Qian Renxue and the Void to seize Zhang Bufan’s divine core. Her dismissal of civilian lives as necessary sacrifices finally drives Qian Renxue to oppose her 414.
Bibi Dong attacks her daughter, is checked by Zhang Bufan, and refuses his offer to cooperate against the Void. Her backup ritual then summons a Rakshasa–Void monster using hundreds of sacrificed soul masters, threatening a city with hundreds of thousands of residents 416 417 418.
While Zhang Bufan saves the city, Bibi Dong exploits Qian Renxue’s childhood memories to lower her guard and launches a killing attack. Zhang Bufan returns in time to rescue her. Bibi Dong’s subsequent self-destruction attempt is stopped, after which the Void Tentacles fuse with her 419.
Reluctant Cooperation and Departure
The revelation that Zhang Bufan is the reincarnated Creation Ruler shatters Bibi Dong’s belief in her ambitions. With the Lord of the Void threatening both the plane and her own identity, she finally accepts temporary cooperation and supplies destruction-law intelligence under Zhang Bufan’s command 431 434 435 436 438.
Witnessing his heaven-opening strike gives her a fleeting insight that destruction might lead to new life. She also acknowledges that the Rakshasa power cannot safely heal him afterward 447.
Following the conflict, Bibi Dong admits that Spirit Hall is finished and that Rakshasa power has wearied her. She and Qian Renxue open a spatial rift and leave the Douluo Plane, beginning an uncertain search for redemption 462 464.
