Huang Huai had just seen a dense mass of Incense and Fire Prayer Power in this spot. It was in no way inferior to the power contained in that Treasure of Holy Lord Emperor Guan seal.
And here, apart from this box, Huang Huai really hadn't seen anything else.
He stepped forward and picked up the wooden box, gently pressing the latch. With a click, it opened, revealing a scroll inside.
"Hmm, could it be a portrait?"
To be honest, Huang Huai couldn't think of anything else it might be.
The scroll was clearly made of silk cloth used as paper for painting, and an old, musty air washed over him. Huang Huai couldn't tell how old it was, but it certainly wasn't something from the last decade or two.
Curious, Huang Huai carefully unfurled the scroll. At once, a portrait of Guan Gong appeared before his eyes: imposing and majestic, holding up a seal in one hand and a saber in the other.
In the portrait, Guan Gong held up a seal in one hand and a saber in the other. He wore a dragon robe, with silkworm-browed eyebrows, phoenix eyes, a headscarf tied around his hair, and a long, flowing beard. He looked so lifelike he could have stepped right out of the painting.
Given how much Incense and Fire Prayer Power this painting contained, Huang Huai was curious. Compared to those statues, if he took this portrait and the seal to the other world, would they undergo a transformation like the statues of Holy Lord Emperor Guan and the Yellow Turban Warrior, or would they remain unchanged, like the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva?
Taking a deep breath to calm his thoughts, Huang Huai rolled up the painting, put it back in the wooden box, and walked over
