The scene caused an uproar of shocked cries among the Young Wizards in the classroom.
"A cat! The cat turned into a professor!"
"Oh my God! I was just thinking about taking it back to our dorm!"
"So cool! I want to turn into a turtle! The kind that can live for ten thousand years!"
Seeing the Young Wizards awed by the opening of their first lesson, the corner of the mouth of Professor McGonagall curved upward slightly. Every professor at Hogwarts knew how to kindle the Young Wizards' interest in learning.
"If it weren't for the fact that you forgot about mealtime, I generally don't like people secretly doing other things during my class."
After reminding Ian, Professor McGonagall raised a hand and gestured for Ian and the other two to choose their seats.
The classroom was spacious.
There was no shortage of desks and chairs.
Perhaps.
At some point during its thousand-year history, this place had once been packed with people. But now, the thirty-odd Young Wizards clearly could not even fill half the desks and chairs.
"Good morning, everyone. I'm Minerva McGonagall, and for the next few years, I will be your Transfiguration teacher." Professor McGonagall first gave a brief introduction.
After signaling everyone to quiet down.
"Transfiguration is a complex and wondrous form of magic, one that is highly practical in both daily life and combat." As she spoke, Professor McGonagall waved her wand.
Almost instantly.
The lectern beside her turned into a fierce leopard.
"Roar!"
The leopard let out a roar, startling the Young Wizards into cries. Michael and William's eyes nearly popped out of their heads, while Ian's eyes shone as brightly as green gemstones.
Transfiguration!
The enemy of his life!
