Shrek Academy carries twenty thousand years of glory and public expectation, making defeat a major reputational crisis. Its prestige was explicitly central to the risk calculation behind Li Jinsheng’s proposed exhibition match: a temporary opposing team could lose without consequence, while Shrek could not. 70

The academy is governed in major matters by the Sea God Pavilion. Yun Ming serves as Pavilion Master during the early crises, while Long Yeyue later holds the position after the academy’s rebuilding. 77 426

Shrek Academy maintains an Inner Court on Sea God Island, where exceptional entrants may be housed after passing its assessments. 106

Seven-Person Exhibition Match

Shrek Academy fielded a seven-person team led by Yu Yuanlong against Li Jinsheng’s improvised seven-person lineup. The academy team consisted of Yu Yuanlong, Ning Yu, Frank, Liu Xin, Qian Feng, Ye Xinglan, and Xu Lizhi. 72

Despite overwhelming crowd support and the weight of its reputation, Shrek lost the match. The defeat became a major media event, with the audience chanting for Tianhai and news agencies rushing coverage. 76

First Public-Reputation Crisis

The exhibition loss generated widespread online and media backlash. Headlines described Shrek Academy’s “crushing defeat” and the routing of the “Shrek Seven Monsters,” while Shrek-related topics dominated public discussion. 77 78

The Sea God Pavilion responded by tightening the defeated students’ path to the Inner Court: they were required to become Two-word Battle Armor Masters before age twenty, while also receiving seven assessment opportunities usable before age fifteen. 77

Freshman Final Assessment

Shrek Academy adopted Li Jinsheng’s proposed “Cat and Mouse” element for its freshman final examination, retaining control over the rules. Hidden evaluators could deduct ten points from students they defeated or award ten points for a victory over them. 88

Li Jinsheng, Gu Yue, and Na’er used the assessment to hunt students across several cities with large numbers of artificially shaped Soul Beasts. The beasts bore nameplates identifying them as part of Shrek Academy’s end-of-term examination. 95 96

The assessment ended with nearly all participants captured; Yuanen Yehui alone evaded capture because she had been cooperating with Li Jinsheng and Gu Yue. The Sea God Pavilion recognized the reputational damage caused by the event and chose to invite Li Jinsheng and Gu Yue to enroll. 98

A Shrek Academy team led by Tang Wulin lost a live-broadcast challenge against the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy after the opposing side deployed two Martial Soul Fusion Skills. 170

The Sea God Pavilion again imposed the requirement that Tang Wulin’s group become Two-word Battle Armor Masters before age twenty or be barred from the Inner Court for life. The academy struggled to resolve the resulting continent-wide public-opinion crisis. 171

Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy later visited Shrek for an exchange tournament. After several Shrek representatives lost, Cai Yuer called on Li Jinsheng to represent the academy. 185

All-Continent Youth High-Level Soul Master Elite Tournament

Shrek Academy entered the All-Continent Youth High-Level Soul Master Elite Tournament, where Li Jinsheng represented its team. He defeated Hua Lantang of Monster Academy’s Eight Heavenly Kings with a single punch in the first round. 208

In the team final against Monster Academy, Li Jinsheng led Shrek Academy’s seven-person side against Long Yue’s team. 219

Holy Spirit Cult Assault

Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect came under attack by the Holy Spirit Cult. Yun Ming fought Ghost Emperor and expended his remaining strength to stop two Godslaying Soul Missiles before pursuing Ghost Emperor. 278

Yun Ming later awoke from a years-long coma. Li Jinsheng informed him that Shrek Academy had declined and could not be rebuilt without resources, while offering assistance with reconstruction. 425

Rebuilt Academy and Second Destruction Attempt

The rebuilt Shrek Academy stood in eastern Heaven Dou City, on the former site of Blue Tyrant Academy. 426

Ghost Emperor and Darkness Hummingbird attacked the rebuilt campus directly. Ghost Emperor’s green skull Soul Skill overwhelmed the academy’s perimeter defensive Soul Tools, destroying them layer by layer. 426

Long Yeyue, then the Sea God Pavilion Master and Shrek Academy’s strongest remaining defender, and Wu Changkong took the field against the assault. Li Jinsheng and other Shrek Academy students later joined the defense. 426 427
