Linley and Irina helped Harry face the Dementors and uncovered the truth about Sirius Black, then visited the Fli family to study Ancient Magic. They developed powerful new abilities and returned to Hogwarts with Irina carrying a newly forged Ice Crystal Spear.

• Linley and Irina protected the Quidditch crowd with Patronuses when Dementors attacked, and Dumbledore drove the creatures away while safely landing Harry.
• Irina told Lupin that Sirius was an Animagus and showed him evidence that Peter Pettigrew had framed him, and Lupin agreed to support their plan.
• Linley taught Harry the Patronus Charm, and Irina gave him a Marauder’s Map after Linley revealed he had made copies.
• Linley and Irina visited the Fli family manor, demonstrated that they could cast spells silently and without wands, and received permission to study the family’s Ancient Magic books.
• Linley learned to create Purgatory Demon Puppets while Irina studied Illusory God of Cold Ice and developed Ice Armor and other ice techniques.
• Linley made Fiendfyre and Goblet Immortal Fire puppets, while Irina tested her Ice Armor and asked Linley to forge her a spear.
• Linley and Irina brought an Ice Crystal Tree and its Bowtruckles into Irina’s suitcase, then Linley forged an Ice Crystal Spear for Irina.
• Irina bonded with the spear and froze Linley during their test, then they returned to Hogwarts and rested before classes.

Linley and Irina helped save Buckbeak, then exposed Peter Pettigrew and cleared Sirius Black’s name. After the Wizengamot sentenced Pettigrew to Azkaban, they staged an attack during his transfer so he could escape and bring about Voldemort’s return.

• Irina helped Hermione reconcile with Harry and Ron, then worked with Linley to secure Buckbeak’s freedom by redirecting blame onto Hagrid, who accepted a suspension and fine.
• Newt Scamander arrived as the substitute Magical Creatures professor, made Irina his student, and taught her about his suitcase’s Pocket Dimension while Linley developed the Soul Insertion Charm.
• Linley and Irina arranged for Ministry officials to witness Peter Pettigrew’s capture, and Irina brought Pettigrew in his cage to the Shrieking Shack, where Sirius and Lupin confronted Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
• Sirius and Lupin explained that Pettigrew had betrayed James Potter and framed Sirius, Irina revealed her Snow Fox Animagus form, and Linley stopped Pettigrew from escaping.
• After Lupin transformed under the full moon, Linley subdued him while Sirius told Harry he was his godfather and offered him a home.
• Fudge authorized Veritaserum, which confirmed Sirius’s innocence and Pettigrew’s guilt, and the Wizengamot cleared Sirius and sentenced Pettigrew to life in Azkaban.
• Linley and Irina ambushed the Aurors transporting Pettigrew with a Swooping Evil and Chinese Mangle-Snappers, then began disabling the escort so Pettigrew could escape.

Linley and Irina trained in advanced alchemy, magic, and creature care over the summer while preparing for the Unforgivable Curses. The arc ended with them attending the Quidditch World Cup alongside Harry and the Weasleys as the tournament’s opening spectacle began.

• Linley escaped the Aurors with Irina after Peter Pettigrew fled, then returned to Hogwarts and learned why Harry had to remain with the Dursleys while arranging for Sirius to live nearby.
• After the school year ended, Green gave Linley the Philosopher’s Stone and trained him in Illusion Formations, Dream Weaving, the Dream Entering Charm, and Occlumency.
• Linley used an Illusion Formation to reveal Green’s memories of his lover’s death, then began learning Legilimency and later studied time alchemy with Nicolas Flamel.
• Newt introduced Irina to Frank the Thunderbird, who entrusted baby Tim to her, and took her around the world to meet Magizoologists and receive magical creatures.
• Linley and Irina hunted dark wizards in L'enfer Alley, then returned to England and traveled to the Quidditch World Cup campsite.
• At the World Cup, Linley discussed the twins’ inventions, Irina reunited with Hermione, and Fudge recognized Irina for helping clear Sirius Black’s name.
• Ludo Bagman opened the Quidditch World Cup as the Veela enchanted Harry and Ron and the Irish mascots filled the stadium with a golden shamrock shower.

Linley and Irina fought the Death Eaters at the Quidditch World Cup, then uncovered Barty Crouch Jr.’s disguise and joined Dumbledore’s plan to control Voldemort’s return. As the Triwizard Tournament began, Linley prepared to enter and Fleur’s arrival stirred Irina’s jealousy.

• Linley and Irina battled the Death Eaters at the Quidditch World Cup, and Linley exposed Barty Crouch Jr. to Barty Crouch Sr. after the Aurors arrived.
• Linley and Irina returned to Hogwarts, where Dumbledore announced the Triwizard Tournament and Linley and Irina identified the disguised Barty Crouch Jr. as Professor Moody.
• Linley told Dumbledore that Barty planned to take Harry to Little Hangleton, and Dumbledore agreed to cooperate while challenging Linley to break the Goblet of Fire’s restriction.
• Moody demonstrated the Unforgivable Curses in class, and Linley’s enchanted equipment injured him when he tried to cast the Imperius Curse on Linley.
• Linley revealed Barty Crouch Jr.’s identity to Irvin and trained him to improve his silent, wandless Weather Spellcasting.
• Beauxbatons and Durmstrang arrived at Hogwarts, and Fleur reunited with Linley and showed him her rune-based ring.
