Yuanshi raged at Qin Mu for interfering, while Primordial Heavenly Demon absorbed the demonic qi leaking from him; Guangchengzi then confronted Emperor Venerate.

Qin Mu recognized their purpose, since he had arranged for the Western Teachings to receive one teaching position, while the chapter left their meeting with him still to come.

• Jieyin and Zhunti discussed guarding the Western Teachings’ Five Emperor teaching position from Yuanshi’s interference and considered Dizang as their candidate.
• Zhunti worried that Qin Mu would refuse to release Dizang from the Underworld, but Jieyin believed they could persuade him.

Randeng proposed secretly reincarnating a Chan Teachings disciple among the Human Race, and Yuanshi ended by asking who should take him as a student.

As Dizang and Immortal Weng of the South Pole headed to assist the two candidates, Dizang found the newborn destined for the Western Teachings’ effort.

• Dizang visited Qin Mu, who confirmed the Western Saints had already asked him to help the first of the Five Emperors ascend.

• The Bloodwing Eagle King entered the Small World and challenged the gathering to fight.
• Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun entered and used the Dragon Subduing Pillar to bind the Bloodwing Eagle King, who conceded and left.
• The banquet guests reacted to Manjushri's victory, while Qin Mu recalled the Dragon Subduing Pillar's future uses and possible counters.
• Several more Great Principle Golden Immortals challenged Manjushri, and he defeated them all.
• Manjushri invited another opponent to face him, but the Free Cultivators declined to enter.

At the Flat Peach Banquet, Donghua, the reincarnated East King Duke, challenged Manjushri after no one else dared enter the contest. He effortlessly repelled Manjushri’s Dragon Subduing Pillar and made the Demon Binding Rope turn back, leaving the fight unresolved.
