Whoosh!
The astral winds surged as Fang Yuan flew at breakneck speed, not caring in the slightest that the Inner Demon Passage behind him had been sealed once more—or that the Demon Gods had intervened, bringing mountains crashing down and the earth splitting apart.
"Dream Demon..."
A distant, ethereal voice suddenly reached his ears. "Who exactly are you?"
"Ileg, what do you think?"
Fang Yuan's expression didn't change as he flew like lightning.
"Among the demon spirits and Demon Commanders on the Inner Demon Battlefield who had a chance of advancing, we kept them all under secret surveillance... Not a single one resembled you. Therefore, you must be a traitor who fled from the Immortals and Gods!"
Ileg spoke with absolute certainty.
"Heh..."
Fang Yuan figured that a Devil Master like him—someone who could clearly have ascended into the Inner Demon Realm, yet shamelessly came to the Spirit Realm instead—was probably one in ten thousand. He couldn't help feeling a little speechless.
"None of that matters. What matters is... can you give us what we want?"
The voices of the Nine-Headed One and the Life and Death Crow drifted over as well.
"Freedom?"
Fang Yuan sighed.
The Devil Masters were naturally unwilling to remain confined to the Inner Demon Battlefield. The freedom they wanted meant soaring across the Inner Demon Realm.
At the very least, they wanted to leave this isolated Inner Demon Battlefield and roam freely through the vast world of the Spirit Realm.
"If you want freedom, this is your only chance!"
Fang Yuan laughed heartily. "The Emperors are busy suppressing the Demon Gods, and the Zhou Tian Stars Great Array has gaps in its defenses... If we don't break out now, when will we?"
He had been heading toward the Boundary Gate all along.
"Break out? Fine!"
