The others in the temporary command center immediately objected. A decapitation strike against the Disciple would obviously be much harder than one against Kasan.
Lion, however, had a different opinion. "From the reports coming in from the front, the Orks have suddenly united and are using a needlessly incremental approach in their attacks. I think there's a good chance they're trying to lure you into a decapitation strike—"
"Even if it's the same as walking into a trap, you still have to try."
"You're still the only means we have of dealing with the Disciple."
The Primarch spoke calmly, but his words were bleak.
Lu Jin could tell that Lion had given up on defeating the Disciple through strategy and cunning. In the end, they would have to rely on their own powerful combat units to take the target's head.
"Go to Saint's Port."
Lion began making arrangements.
Lion sent a messenger to retrieve an aircraft called the Escapist from the hive city's hangar.
It had been discovered during an inventory of the Aquila Council's assets after the council was destroyed. The craft could make short-range Warp jumps, and its technology was more ancient than even the tech from ten thousand years ago.
Lion had only glanced at the asset list after establishing the Council of Valor, but he had remembered the craft.
Messengers were also sent to bring in the combat personnel who would accompany Lu Jin to Saint's Port, pulling them from the front lines.
As Lu Jin left the temporary command center, Lion glanced at the battle raging in the void.
Although the forces of Chaos had suffered a major defeat at Saint's Port, and even their full-scale ground assault had been delayed,
