Saint's Port's northern hangar windows shattered.
A Chaos Raptors squad stormed into the hangar amid shards of glass and chunks of the building.
They clearly hadn't come to stop Lu Jin. When Lu Jin saw the Raptors sergeant visibly freeze upon spotting him step out of an aircraft, that much was obvious.
At that moment, a Heldrake trying to force its way into Saint's Port was blasted apart by the Spherical Turret the Disciples had built. Its body slammed into the hangar's outer wall, and one of its wings spun into the hangar, heading straight for Lu Jin and the others.
The Daemon Engine's wing was razor-sharp. If a squad of Space Marines had just stepped out of the transport, the wing would have cut them in half.
But it was Lu Jin who was there.
Lyleth had just reacted and was preparing to dodge when she saw the Young God catch the wing without a second thought and hurl it at the Raptors squad flying in through the broken window overhead.
All ten Chaos Raptors were sliced in half. Their upper bodies, propelled by their jump packs, slammed into the hangar ceiling, while their lower halves dropped to the floor with a wet splat.
Lu Jin looked toward the spot where the Raptors had entered.
An aircraft equipped with a small Void Shield was approaching Saint's Port.
Its cabin door stood open. Star-Stealer Harkon stood inside, spear in hand, locking eyes with Lu Jin.
Only then did Lu Jin realize that the Chaos Raptors squad had been sent to clear a path for their master. Harkon had risked coming in person to rescue his troops trapped in Saint's Port as quickly as possible.
But Harkon's courage lasted only until he met Lu Jin's gaze.
