As the newcomers' warships regrouped and charged toward the Butcher's Gang, one Chapter Master voiced his opinion to another over the comms.

"Yes. Our Chapter survived the threat of annihilation only because xenos sheltered us."

"Traitor!"

"Is there anyone here who isn't a traitor? Let's see who's the High Lord's lapdog. Have a Nova Cannon!"

The Chapter Masters were already arguing.

Seeing this, Lu Jin realized that the group he'd assumed was acting together was actually just a bunch of loners.

Why had they gathered together?

A Space Marine in purple armor loudly put an end to the argument.

"The Inquisitor tricked us into killing ninety percent of our own," Lu Jin replied.

"We suffered the same fate," said a Space Marine whose body was wreathed in flames over the comms. "We're the Burning Falcons Chapter. We were founded in the same Twenty-First Founding as you, and the Inquisitor and a Chapter in strange gray Terminator armor killed all but ten of us!"

"Was the Inquisitor who ambushed you named Morris?" Lu Jin
