Background / History

The Hun Clan is an ancient super force whose hierarchy, resources, and survival laws revolve around cultivation talent and Dou Di bloodline quality. It maintains an independent space inhabited by hundreds of millions of descendants, where even thousands of Dou Spirit disciples serve merely as order-keepers. 1 2

The clan’s bloodline does not suffer natural depletion because it possesses the Nihility Devouring Flame, which consumed the last Clan Leader of the Tunling Clan, the Spirit Devouring King. As a result, Divine Grade bloodlines emerge within the clan almost yearly. 4

Hun Tiandi leads the clan from the Sacred Hall and Imperial Study Hall in the Imperial Capital. His many children compete for the Young Clan Leader position, while several internal factions have formed around his heirs. 3 4 13

Disciple Sequences

Bloodline and Talent System

The Dark Soul Stone Tablet evaluates a disciple’s cultivation and bloodline. Bloodlines are divided into nine grades, with Divine Grade above the Ninth Grade; Divine Grade represents the most complete awakening of the Dou Di Bloodline and potential to reach the Dou God realm. 2 5

Imperial Capital and Sacred City

The clan’s Imperial Capital, also called the Sacred City, lies within its independent space. Direct descendants live in an immense palace complex atop the highest peak, while the wider population is governed under strict clan authority. 2 4

Dark Soul Stone Tablet

Located in a vast white-jade square, the Dark Soul Stone Tablet is used to assess six-year-old disciples’ cultivation and bloodline grades. The area is guarded by thousands of Dou Spirit-level disciples. 2

Library Pavilion

The Library Pavilion is one of the Hun Clan’s forbidden grounds and is said to hold the continent’s largest collection of martial arts by quantity, variety, and category. It exists in a separate space whose location is known only to the clan’s upper ranks. 8 9

• Entry is normally limited to six-year-old disciples at Fighting Qi Seventh Stage or higher with Fifth Grade bloodlines or better. 8
• The pavilion is accessed from the Sky Terrace through a formation activated with the Dark Soul Token. 8

Hun Han’s Talent Test

The clan subjects six-year-old Hun Han to the Dark Soul Stone Tablet test. His initial result—Fighting Qi First Stage with no detected bloodline—draws ridicule and places him at risk of being sent away. 2 3

Hun Han’s retest reveals a Divine Grade bloodline, later understood to be an exceptional Saint Grade Bloodline. The revelation shocks the clan and provokes Hun Feng’s hostility. 5 33

Departure from the Imperial Capital

Although Hun Han’s bloodline is exceptional, his insufficient cultivation prevents him from remaining in the Imperial Capital. After receiving special access to the Library Pavilion, he is appointed Vice Hall Master of the Human Hall in the Corpse Burial Mountain Range and sent beyond the clan’s independent space. 6 8 12 13

Internal Assassination Plot

Soon after Hun Han’s departure, Qin Lan battles five servants connected to Ninth Madam’s maternal family. The Great Elder concludes that Hun Han was likely targeted, while Hun Tiandi publicly treats the matter with indifference and prepares to name Hun Pan as Young Clan Leader. 14

Hun Han’s Separation from the Clan

Hun Han avoids returning to the clan’s political struggles and refuses to assume his Human Hall post. He seeks power independently while remaining wary that rivals such as Hun Feng may still pursue him. 16 79
