I fell for it!
In the end, Chen Changan had still let his guard down. The moment he touched the super Heavenly Origin Other Shore Flower, he realized what was happening—but by then, it was too late.
The entire area's white mist had actually been released by this super version of the Heavenly Origin Other Shore Flower. It was the true body.
Chen Changan had now entered an illusion created by the flower.
"It's been a long time since I've entered an illusion. This is kind of interesting."
Although Chen Changan had fallen for the trick, his mind hadn't been affected. He had merely fallen into his opponent's illusion.
However, this illusion seemed somewhat unusual. It hadn't constructed a fictional space based on Chen Changan's memories.
Chen Changan was in a space of limited size, much like the area outside, with white mist shrouding everything around him.
Yet the mist wouldn't come near him. As Chen Changan moved, it moved with him.
It seemed the space left for him was only a dozen or so meters wide.
Chen Changan had never experienced such a bizarre illusion before. For now, he couldn't even figure out what purpose it served.
Was it just meant to trap him? To keep his consciousness confined in this space?
"Chen Changan, have you ever lost?"
A voice suddenly appeared in Chen Changan's mind. It held an intangible, demonic power, as if trying to influence his consciousness.
Chen Changan's mind wavered, but he quickly steadied himself.
"Never!"
Chen Changan was confident about that. In all his years, there may have been times when he hadn't won, but he'd never lost. At worst, he'd drawn—neither side able to do anything to the other.
"Then... have you ever known despair?"
The voice appeared in Chen Changan's mind again.
"Never,"
