Chen Changan and Gu Xian'er had been heading to Tianshui Lake for less than a day when Da Huang caught up with them.
Chen Changan glanced at Da Huang. His speed seemed to have improved a little.
"You're a bit faster. I thought I'd be waiting another couple of days for you," Chen Changan said with a faint smile.
"The Immortal Spirit Fruit really is something. I can feel that I've improved quite a bit, so naturally I'm faster," Da Huang said, looking pleased with himself.
"Did you take care of things?"
"Mm, it's all taken care of. Don't worry, there won't be any loose ends." Da Huang nodded with a grin.
Gu Xian'er listened, utterly bewildered. What had they taken care of, and what loose ends?
Wasn't Da Huang supposed to deliver an Immortal Spirit Fruit to Chen Yunxuan?
"Nicely done. Even after all these years, we still understand each other," Chen Changan said with a smile.
"Pah, like I don't know you. You didn't do it yourself, so you were just waiting for me to clean up after you." Da Huang curled his lip scornfully.
"Elder Da Huang, Young Master, what are you talking about?" Gu Xian'er asked curiously.
"Nothing much. Just took care of the Gao family."
Taken care of the Gao family?
Gu Xian'er was stunned. She had been with Chen Changan the whole time and hadn't seen him leave any instructions behind. How had Senior Da Huang understood what he wanted?
Understanding each other?
How long did it take to develop that kind of understanding?
