"Why in the world?"

All along the way, Da Huang kept muttering to himself. He couldn't figure it out, no matter how hard he tried: what had he done to get kicked this time?

Was there something wrong with his smile? Had he stepped wrong with one of his paws?

Surely it wasn't because Chen Changan was jealous of how handsome he was?

After kicking Da Huang, Chen Changan hadn't explained why, or even paid him any attention. This left Da Huang terribly troubled.

All the way to Yunyang City, Da Huang racked his brains, trying to figure out the meaning behind that kick.

Every now and then, Da Huang stole a glance at Chen Changan, only to find that he didn't seem inclined to pay him any mind.

He looked at Mu Yunyao, but found that Sister-in-law was acting strange today. She seemed to keep sneaking glances at Chen Changan and smiling.

"Why?"

"Why in the world?"

Da Huang abruptly turned his head and stared straight at Little Earthworm. That look nearly scared Little Earthworm right off Yi Tuo's back.

"Whoa!"

"You're way too scary!"

Da Huang wore a deeply aggrieved expression. His eyes were bloodshot, as though he'd fallen under a spell.

"Tell me, why?" Da Huang pressed Little Earthworm.

"I don't know."

"What's going on? You've been like this ever since I came out of seclusion. Can you tell me what happened first?" Little Earthworm asked curiously.

"You don't know, and I don't know."

"Then who does?"

Da Huang didn't seem to care about Little Earthworm's questions. He remained trapped in his own confusion.

"Oh no, oh no."

"Dad, I think Brother Da Huang has rabies," Little Earthworm cried out, looking worried.
