History
Early conflict with Ren Xiaoyao
Qianqiu Pavilion first moved openly against Li Chunfeng, Bai Su, and Yao Luochen over a ten-thousand-year ginseng. Meng Zhongwu led five other Heavenly Human Realm martial artists in an ambush, later joined by the Old Demon Lord. 22 23
Ren Xiaoyao intervened and slew all seven Heavenly Human Realm attackers with the Great Sun Divine Sword, then burned the bodies and erased the evidence of the battle. 24
Further investigation revealed the pavilion’s links to both the Empress and Luo Mengshen. The Empress was openly supported by Qianqiu Pavilion, while Luo Mengshen had once been its Saintess. 29 32
Luo and Huangfu faction struggle
Luo Mengxian explained that Luo Mengshen had many enemies within Qianqiu Pavilion, which was why she had not brought Ren Xiaoyao back while he was vulnerable. Once the Luo Family gained the initiative, Luo Mengxian offered Ren Xiaoyao the position of Holy Son. 45
The offer exposed the pavilion’s internal division. The Luo Family and Huangfu Family were locked in a struggle for authority, while the Huangfu Family ordered Wine Daoist to abduct Ren Xiaoyao so they could use him to control Luo Mengxian. 45 46
Dongfang Changkong’s disappearance after his failed breakthrough intensified the conflict. The Inner Cabinet speculated that he had died, and Wine Daoist warned that the Luo and Huangfu factions would openly plunge the pavilion into chaos if the master did not return. 52
Dongfang Changkong’s return
Dongfang Changkong later reappeared, having apparently regained his youth through a divine art. His return ended both the Luo and Huangfu Families’ immediate bids for the Pavilion Master position, though their feud remained unresolved. 69
His earlier rise to Pavilion Master had been aided by Gongsun Haoxuan, an old friend of the previous Pavilion Master who secretly backed Dongfang Changkong during an earlier period of internal strife. 84
Jiang Haochen’s attempted takeover
Jiang Haochen, a Half-Step Limitless Realm cultivator hidden in the pavilion, allied with Huangfu Yuxiang. He promised to remove their obstacles, make the Huangfu Family the new masters of Qianqiu Pavilion, and use Great Gan’s succession to steal its national fortune. 86
During Luo Yunfan’s eightieth birthday banquet, Jiang Haochen prepared to seize control of the pavilion. His emergence terrified the entire sect, but Ren Xiaoyao defeated and obliterated him. 94 101 105
