Nature

Demonic Qi is a hostile, corruptive form of energy associated with demons, demonic cultivators, cursed objects, and the Demon Realm. It can exist as mist, clouds, flames, streams, miasma, markings, vortices, or condensed constructs such as weapons and seals. Its density and danger vary greatly by source. 339 450 482 529

The energy is described as an extreme form of Heaven and Earth Origin. Ren Xiaoyao determines that, once stripped of its evil and violent attributes, it can be purified and converted into usable energy. 512 513

Later-era demonic qi is distinct from the Primordial Chaos Demonic Source, the Dark Origin wielded by the Progenitor of Demonic Source; the latter is far more fundamental and difficult for the Balance Great Dao to neutralize. 599

Environmental Corruption

• Demonic Qi erodes space-time barriers, fractures the void, and can turn affected space into black fragments or unstable fissures. 339 379
