Background

Naruto was born after Minato sealed the Nine-Tails into him during the Nine-Tails Rebellion and named him Uzumaki Naruto. Konoha subsequently treated him as the village's Jinchuriki, while Hiruzen Sarutobi resolved to protect him from Danzō's attempts to control his fate 197.

As a young child in Konoha, Naruto was watched by ninja, received only brief visits and living expenses from Hiruzen, and endured the villagers' hostile looks without understanding why.
