Li Dan met Claire. Through her wishes, she had inherited her uncle's estate and moved into another mansion.

The moment Claire laid eyes on Li Dan, she decided he was a fraud.

Li Dan wasn't about to indulge someone who backed out halfway through. He brought out Art to teach the girl a lesson—not to kill her, of course, just to scare her.

He hadn't sunk to killing people simply because he disliked them. He still knew right from wrong.

It was also true that Claire's wishes had killed her family.

Claire was visibly frightened when Art appeared. She was pretty quick, too, immediately running back inside her house... Wait, something was wrong.

Art had barely taken two steps when a planter suddenly fell from above, struck him on the head, and knocked him flat. Before long, however, he got back up.

Li Dan caught the falling rod with precision. If that thing pierced Art's skull, even he wouldn't recover anytime soon.

Once or twice could have been an accident.

But with so many accidents in a row, Claire had most likely wished for Art to die.

What a fickle woman.

Li Dan released Jason and Bat Person. Both had immortal bodies.

Even if Claire wished for them both to die, it wouldn't be that easy. As for Art, Li Dan recalled him immediately to keep him from getting killed by more freak accidents.

The first attack had been manageable. The second
