Night slowly fell.

The mother and daughter's argument had long since ceased.

During a simple dinner in the living room, Sophie appeared composed, her younger son Martin stayed close to Li Dan, and Rebecca called her boyfriend over.

One could tell how close people were just by their seating arrangement at dinner.

If Li Dan hadn't come, Rebecca would have taken her brother to live with her today after learning the truth of the matter.

The old woman was unhappy.

Li Dan could tell this wasn't the mother's true intention, but in her current mental state, she would eventually be swayed by the Evil Spirit.

Not long after finishing the meal.

Rebecca's boyfriend, Brett, arrived.

Dressed in leather and with long hair and a bit of stubble, he looked like a rock musician. Rebecca introduced her boyfriend, who appeared very wild but was actually introverted.

After some small talk.

It was already evening, and everyone seemed to have forgotten about the Evil Spirit, chatting about topics that interested them.

But what was bound to happen would eventually happen.

Normally, Diana might have picked off someone who was alone, but Li Dan's determined entry into this house today had angered her.

While Brett was using the restroom, he suddenly yelled and ran out of the bathroom, saying he saw a dark figure lunging at him inside before it disappeared.

Rebecca quickly looked at Li Dan, and Li Dan, as expected, was brave and skilled, heading straight for the bathroom.

He projected an aura of strength, but in reality, he had merged with a Bat Person.

Seeing this, Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief and quickly explained the situation to her boyfriend.

An ordinary boyfriend might have run away.

But Brett chose to stay and face it with Rebecca; he was introverted but not lacking in courage.

In the bathroom.

A faint light flashed, and the Soul Severing Clown made a dazzling entrance.

Clown Art was still carrying his signature black plastic bag. This time, his weapon was updated; he actually pulled out a chainsaw from it.

The sound was too loud. Li Dan asked him to change it, perhaps to something with UV light?

"Forget it, I'll just look for it myself."

Li Dan reached directly into the black fabric bag and rummaged around. He picked up whatever he found and looked at it.

What is this?

Li Dan felt something hard and pulled it out. It was half a baseball bat, still stained with some unknown liquid.

Li Dan was immediately disgusted and handed the item back to Clown Art, saying speechlessly.

"You're really not afraid of being disgusted."

Li Dan felt like he had said it for nothing, after all, the last time in that restaurant, the Soul Severing Clown had smeared feces everywhere. He was truly an oddity in the horror world.

Clown Art smiled and pulled a hat out of his pocket, seemingly wanting to perform a magic trick to please him.

Li Dan stopped him in time and asked him to observe if there was anything else in the room.

Clown Art nodded, then shook his head.

Li Dan understood what he meant; he could sense something but couldn't pinpoint its location.

It seemed most of these things could sense each other.

Does evil sense evil?

"Then you keep paying attention. When I give the order, if you see or sense anything, just charge at it.

"Don't be afraid, I'll cover you from behind."

Clown Art: "..."

Li Dan: "I'm going to turn off the lights."

Clown Art nodded, took out his signature hammer from his bag, and prepared to charge at any moment.

Li Dan lit a candle and then turned off the bathroom lights, plunging the entire space into darkness.

Only the faint candlelight flickered in the darkness, as if it could be extinguished at any moment.

Not long after.

A black figure squatted by the door, its appearance unclear, just as it had suddenly appeared.

When Li Dan turned on the light, the figure disappeared again. When he turned off the light, it reappeared.

It was just that the distance seemed closer.

Li Dan turned on the light again and took out the Ghost Card. Hmm, it could still only detect traces.

It seems it can only appear in the shadows?

Li Dan turned the light on again, attempting to communicate.

"Hey, you there, can you understand me?"

His words seemed to enrage the black shadow, and she slowly stood up, growling as she lunged at Li Dan.

At this moment, Li Dan flipped the switch again, and the black shadow disappeared.

"Click."

He turned off the light, and the black shadow reappeared. He turned it on, and she vanished.

Disappear, reappear, disappear, reappear...

Even though the black shadow was getting closer, Li Dan found it quite interesting.

"Art, it's your turn to shine, go!"

He turned off the light once more.

The Clown Art charged forward with his hammer, looking fierce. However, in the very first exchange, Art was knocked down by the black shadow, his hammer sent flying to the side.

"Click."

Li Dan turned the light on. Art, looking flustered, seemed confused.

"Click."

The black shadow suddenly reappeared. Before Art could react, his neck was directly bitten, and a torrent of blood sprayed out desperately.

Cough, cough, operational error. To make up for Art, Li Dan released the Bat Person to assist.

As the Bat Person rushed forward, the black shadow suddenly vanished again.

In the next second, she appeared on the ceiling and directly hung the Bat Person upside down.

The Bat Person's claws flipped, and the black shadow disappeared once more. Attacks came from all directions simultaneously.

The Bat Person was even grabbed by the throat and lifted into the air out of nowhere.

Fortunately, the Bat Person wasn't human and wouldn't die from suffocation.

In the confined space, the Bat Person was toyed with like a plaything.

Art clutched his neck and scrambled back to Li Dan's side. The bleeding had stopped, but his neck was still oozing.

He shot Li Dan a resentful look, which Li Dan pretended not to see.

Immortals were quite difficult to kill.

Although the Bat Person was constantly on the defensive, Li Dan never took a step away from the candlelight.

Perhaps this Evil Spirit named Diana also realized that he was the one in control.

If Li Dan dared to step out of the room, he was sure the Evil Spirit would abandon the Bat Person and attack him directly.

Even though he was mentally prepared, he didn't want to be directly attacked by the Evil Spirit.

After all, it was quite terrifying.

But how could he restrain Diana?

This Evil Spirit was different from others. She seemed to have a physical form, not like the terrifying, completely invisible entities in Paranormal Activity.

When the lights were off, she had near-instantaneous speed.

When the lights were on, she couldn't be seen. This truly presented Li Dan with a difficult problem.

Did he really need to call a priest?

From the moment Li Dan entered the bathroom to the appearance of the Bat Person, the entire process took only about five minutes.

Perhaps sensing Li Dan's caution, the Evil Spirit vanished.

Instead, a scream echoed from the living room.

Li Dan took a few steps out of the shadows before stopping. The next moment, his neck tightened, and he was lifted into the air by an unseen force.

He had guessed it, but he was a few steps too late.

"Fusion·Diamond Four"

Looking down at the black shadow, Li Dan used all his strength to break free from the invisible hand gripping his neck. The Bat Person and the Soul Severing Clown instantly converged beside Li Dan.

The black shadow disappeared again.

A cunning Evil Spirit, but her strength didn't seem particularly great.

Of course, it might also be that it was three against one, and he had the advantage.

All three were immortal, and Li Dan had also fused with the Evil Spirit Wendigo, making him quite difficult to kill.

This was why Li Dan dared to be so reckless.

If this were Paranormal Activity, Kunichiyan, or Grave Encounter, he would be much more cautious.
