Background / History

Tang Hao was a renowned Clear Sky Sect prodigy who became known as the Clear Sky Douluo. During his younger years, he was considered one of the era’s most exceptional talents, though Li Xuan had once drawn with him in a same-realm challenge. Tang Hao became a Titled Douluo at age forty, a record later surpassed by Li Xuan. 10

He fell in love with Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor and a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. When Qian Xunji and Martial Soul Hall pursued Ah Yin for her Soul Ring and Soul Bone, Tang Hao confronted them while only Level 84. 2 3

Ah Yin sacrificed herself to save Tang Hao and their infant son, Tang San. Her sacrifice restored Tang Hao’s condition, elevated him to Level 92, and gave him the power to shatter Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo’s Two Poles Stillness Domain before confronting Qian Xunji’s forces. 3 Tang Hao severely injured Qian Xunji and other Martial Soul Hall elders, but he was also left badly wounded; he escaped with Tang San and later collapsed beside Ah Yin’s remaining Blue Silver Grass. 4 28

Martial Soul Hall blamed Tang Hao for Qian Xunji’s death, and the resulting conflict forced the Clear Sky Sect to seal its mountain. The Heavenly Curtain later revealed that Bibi Dong assassinated Qian Xunji after the battle, clearing Tang Hao of the murder accusation. 2 4 5

After the Heavenly Curtain’s blessing healed his old wounds, Tang Hao went to Shrek Academy to remove Tang San and Xiao Wu from the pursuit of Martial Soul Hall and other factions. He openly protected Xiao Wu despite her identity as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soft Bone Rabbit, then drove back four Martial Soul Hall Titled Douluo. 8 9

Tang Hao subsequently brought Tang San to the City of Slaughter for training. There, the Heavenly Curtain exposed the King of Slaughter as Tang Chen—Tang Hao’s father and Tang San’s great-grandfather—and Tang Hao hurried to reunite with him. 11 When Tang San’s identity as a transmigrator was exposed, Tang Hao initially refused to believe it, but continued to defend Tang San before Tang Chen and sent him into the Hell Road. 23

He is blunt, aggressive, and confident in battle. Tang Hao does not hesitate to provoke stronger enemies or confront multiple Titled Douluo at once, yet he recognizes exceptional danger when he encounters it; after being pushed back by Li Xuan, he warned Tang San and Xiao Wu to avoid the God-Slaying Douluo. 9 10
