Background / History

Qian Daoliu is the Great Enshrined of Martial Soul Hall and one of the continent’s three Level 99 Peerless Douluo, alongside Tang Chen and Bo Saixi. He received guidance from the Angel God and withdrew from active leadership in expectation of a divine inheritance, though nearly a century passed without further revelation. 17 18

His son was Pope Qian Xunji. Qian Daoliu learned that Bibi Dong—his daughter-in-law—had killed Qian Xunji; because of his son’s actions and Bibi Dong’s exceptional talent, he tacitly accepted the killing. Bibi Dong subsequently blamed Qian Xunji’s death on Tang Hao. 6

After the Heavenly Curtain began revealing Martial Soul Hall’s secrets, Qian Daoliu focused on protecting his granddaughter Qian Renxue and preserving the Hall’s position. Qian Daoliu is measured and strategic. Rather than immediately responding to every exposure by force, he weighs the cost of conflict against possible gains; after Tang Chen’s identity and recovery were revealed, he refused to attack the City of Slaughter because the likely battle was not worth the risk. 11

He is deeply invested in Qian Renxue’s future. He considers her exceptionally suited to godhood and vows to secure a divine opportunity for her, even considering paths beyond the Angel God’s inheritance when its promised guidance fails to arrive. 17

Qian Daoliu is among the first Martial Soul Hall leaders to assess the Heavenly Curtain. He recognizes its golden radiance as a creation-god-like force after it grants him several decades of lifespan and improves the enshriners’ cultivation. 1

When the Curtain exposes the truth behind Qian Xunji’s death, he becomes concerned that Qian Renxue will learn her mother killed her father. He orders measures to bring her back from Heaven Dou before her undercover identity can also be exposed. 2

Qian Renxue’s Exposure

After Qian Renxue’s infiltration of Heaven Dou is revealed, Qian Daoliu assures the Worship Hall that he will personally act if the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect attempts to capture her. His intervention later saves Snake Lance Douluo from Sword Douluo’s finishing strike during the pursuit. 6 7

Tang Chen’s Return and the Search for Godhood
