Li Xuan transmigrated to the Douluo Continent forty years before the Heavenly Curtain descended. He awakened the God-Slaying Spear with Innate Full Soul Power and built a formidable reputation among an era populated by figures such as Tang Hao, Chen Xin, and Yu Yuanzhen. His early rise included challenging major powers as a Soul King, then returning two years later as a Soul Sage; he defeated Qian Xunji and Tang Xiao in a same-realm contest and fought Tang Hao to a draw despite Tang Hao's higher Soul Power. 1 10

He spent ten years searching for divine inheritances after concluding that mortal strength was insufficient. His God-Slaying Spear failed to attract a deity's attention because its attributes appeared incompatible with Douluo's divine laws. As he was close to abandoning the search, the Heavenly Curtain System appeared and tasked him with releasing rankings to complete self-created godhood assessments. 1 10

Li Xuan compiled and released the Douluo Secret Ranking, exposing continent-altering secrets through the Heavenly Curtain. The first projection blessed living beings across the continent, healing ailments, loosening cultivation bottlenecks, and dispelling negative conditions; he later learned these blessings had been converted from rewards that should have gone directly to him. 1 20
