"Putting the Dragon Ball search on hold for now, I'm here to learn martial arts from you, as promised." Son Goku replied with a smile.
"I remember now..." Master Roshi said, suddenly realizing.
"I even brought my bedding." Goku chuckled, hauling it inside.
Master Roshi immediately stepped out of the room and looked around.
A brief pause.
"Hey, Broly, have you seen a pretty, cute girl around?" Master Roshi asked hurriedly.
"No." Broly shook his head.
"Goku! Didn't that pretty female companion of yours come along?" Master Roshi inquired.
"You mean Bulma? She went back to the city." Goku answered.
"What a shame..." Master Roshi felt a bit disappointed inside. He turned to look at Goku again and said in a low voice, "My standards are very strict."
"No problem! I'm going to be stronger than Grandpa Roshi someday!" Goku said with some anticipation.
"But my training isn't free." Master Roshi said to Goku.
"Huh?" Goku was taken aback.
"Go bring a lively, pretty girl here, and I'll let you train here." Master Roshi stated his condition.
"What's a lively, pretty girl?" Goku didn't understand such things.
"You don't even know that? It means good-looking..." Master Roshi replied.
"Alright, if I bring a lively, pretty girl here, I can stay and train?" Goku asked again.
"That's right." Master Roshi nodded seriously.
Goku leaped onto the Flying Nimbus.
"Hey? Your tail's gone?" Master Roshi only then noticed that Goku's tail was missing.
"Yeah, I don't know where it went." Goku smiled nonchalantly, then vanished on the Flying Nimbus.
Some time later.
Broly looked up and saw Goku bringing over a tall, fat woman.
"Grandpa, she's full of energy, right?" Goku grinned.
Master Roshi: "..."
After some guidance.
Goku set off again.
This time, Goku brought back a pretty girl.
Master Roshi stole a glance.
The girl had long, flowing blue hair, a stunning figure, and a face that was simply flawless.
But her appearance... why did it feel like he'd seen her somewhere before?
Broly also took a long look at the girl.
"Goku, Goku!" Master Roshi waved at Goku.
Goku quickly trotted over and said with a smile, "Grandpa, so you're here."
"You did great, that's my Goku!" Master Roshi praised without restraint.
"Can you teach me martial arts now?" Goku asked excitedly.
"Alright, fine." Master Roshi nodded. "Then let's start right away! First, go get that girl's pants—this is the most basic training!"
"Pants?" Goku immediately ran off.
But soon, Goku returned, empty-handed.
"Kid, why didn't you bring anything?" Master Roshi scolded.
"Grandpa, do you know what a T-shirt is?" Goku asked.
"So what if I do?" Master Roshi said irritably.
"She said she's only wearing a T-shirt, no pants." Goku answered honestly.
Master Roshi's eyes lit up, and blood sprayed straight from his nose.
No, no...
Just thinking about it...
"What should I do?" Goku asked.
"No choice, I'll have to demonstrate myself!" Master Roshi's grin grew even wider.
Perfect, I'm wearing sunglasses!
That girl has no idea where I'm looking!
"Hey, what a nice day today!" Master Roshi came out from behind the house, waving at the girl.
"Yeah, is there something you need from me?" the girl said, her mermaid tail swishing slightly.
Master Roshi: "..."
Another mermaid!
The last one wasn't very friendly.
Wonder how this one is?
"Well... if you don't mind me asking, can we be friends? I've got all kinds of skills!" Master Roshi blushed, speaking a bit sheepishly.
"My mom said... she ran into a pervy old man 17 years ago, so that was you!" The Mermaid glared at Master Roshi furiously.
Master Roshi: "..."
"You... you're the daughter of that mermaid from 17 years ago?" Master Roshi wiped his sweat.
"Slap! Slap!"
The Mermaid smacked Master Roshi twice across the face with her tail, then dove into the seawater and vanished.
Master Roshi felt a pang of regret.
"So this is training." Son Goku was thrilled.
"To beat an enemy, you first have to learn to get beaten!" Master Roshi adjusted his glasses and smiled.
"Makes sense!" Goku nodded thoughtfully.
"Goku! I'll say it again—bring me a girl, and this time, no fish tails!" Master Roshi gave Goku another mission.
"Huh? I have to go again?" Goku's head ached.
"That's why I say my training is pretty tough." Master Roshi straightened his back and smiled.
"Okay." Goku nodded in agreement.
Master Roshi sighed with relief.
Good thing that nagging Sea Turtle went off traveling.
And Broly doesn't meddle in things.
I've got to seize this chance.
"Huh? Gramps, something's coming this way." Goku suddenly pointed at the horizon.
"Is it the Sea Turtle?" Master Roshi jumped in surprise.
Broly also looked toward the horizon, completely unfazed, and simply closed his eyes to keep sleeping.
The next moment, Krillin paddled a small boat, leaped up from it, and flipped through the air.
"Thud!"
Krillin plunged headfirst into the sand, his whole head buried deep, his Legs flailing wildly.
"Goku, pull him out." Master Roshi ordered.
Goku yanked Krillin out of the sand.
Just like Goku, Krillin had come to become a disciple.
But Master Roshi's requirement was simple: bring him a pretty girl.
Luckily, Goku and Krillin managed to deliver, and before long, they brought Launch home.
"What a beautiful house." Launch remarked.
"Do you like it?" Krillin asked with a smile.
"Gramps, we brought back a lively, pretty girl!" Goku shouted loudly.
Broly walked out of the room.
"Hey, hi, Broly." Goku greeted him with a smile.
"Broly, where's Master Roshi?" Krillin asked.
"In the bathroom." Broly replied, glancing at Launch.
Launch looked Broly up and down, instantly captivated by his handsome looks, her cheeks flushing red.
"H-hi, I'm Launch... I'm 17, nice to meet you." Launch shyly lowered her head, introducing herself to Broly.
"Hello." Broly just nodded, seeming not too interested in the girl.
Meanwhile, Goku had run off to get Master Roshi.
But Launch was staring at Broly with a lovesick expression, suddenly feeling like she'd fallen for this handsome boy at first sight.
Krillin: "..."
This guy named Broly sure knows how to charm the girls.
But that's fine!
He's just Master Roshi's adopted grandson.
According to Master Roshi, he's never even studied martial arts—his biggest hobbies every day are eating and sleeping.
Once I get good at martial arts, I'll definitely be popular with the girls too!
