"Thump! Thump! Thump!"
Krillin, Yamcha, and the girl heard the question and nearly choked, collapsing to the ground on the spot!

"Idiot! Taking a wife means getting married!" Krillin scrambled to his feet and explained, flustered and angry. "When did you make this kind of promise to such a pretty, sweet girl behind our backs? How sneaky! You only thought about yourself! Look at us now: Yamcha has Bulma, and even Broly's with Launch. I'm the only one still single!"
The more Krillin spoke, the more aggrieved he felt. Even his bald head seemed to have lost some of its shine in the sunlight.
You're all paired up now...
I'm the only glorious single guy left... Heaven isn't fair!
"Taking a wife means two people become husband and wife, live together from then on, and start a family." Yamcha also struggled to hold back a laugh as he explained in detail. "Goku, when you made that promise to her, didn't you know what it meant?"
"Live together?" Hearing the explanation, Son Goku panicked. Pointing at the girl on the ring, he asked in alarm, "With you? I... I really said that? Who are you, anyway? Please, just tell me! Stop speaking in riddles!"
"Hmph, no way!" Seeing that Son Goku still hadn't remembered completely, the girl stubbornly pouted and planted her hands on her hips. "That's a promise between us! You have to defeat me fair and square before I can tell you my name! Those are the rules!"
"Really? I just have to beat you?" Son Goku immediately relaxed, a carefree smile returning to his face. He patted his chest and grinned. "I thought I really had to spend my whole life with someone whose name I didn't even know. That would've been terrifying!"
"Are you sure you can beat me? Don't underestimate me." The girl took up the Turtle School's opening stance, a confident smile on her face. "I won't lose to you so easily!"
"This is hilarious. Is Goku really that dense? How has he still not figured out who that girl is?" Oolong seemed to have recognized her. He grinned with his pig snout, looking delighted to watch the show.
"Oolong, do you know? Who is she?" Bulma's curiosity was thoroughly piqued, and she quickly turned to ask him.
"You're so slow, Bulma! And Puar, Broly, and Master Roshi—you've all seen her before!" Oolong smiled, deliberately keeping them in suspense.
"Oh, I remember!" Broly's eyes lit up. Oolong's reminder had finally brought an image to mind. Pointing at the girl in the ring, he said, "She's that little girl who once tried to crack the old man's skull with an axe."
Master Roshi shuddered and instinctively rubbed the top of his head, as though he could still feel the chill of the axe blade from back then. A lingering look of fear crossed his old face.
"Who? Who is it?" Bulma watched everyone's dawning expressions, but she was still completely lost. She stamped her foot impatiently.
Just then, Son Goku had finished getting ready in the ring.
"I'm going to attack! Are you ready?" Son Goku called out, his gaze turning focused.
"Come on!" Chi-Chi nodded, concentrating fully as she braced herself.
"Bang!"
Son Goku didn't choose to engage her at close range. Instead, he casually threw a punch in Chi-Chi's direction from a distance!
The punch didn't strike her body directly. It instantly compressed the air in front of him, forming a powerful, concentrated blast of invisible pressure!
Like a cannonball, the blast struck Chi-Chi in the chest!
"Ah!"
Chi-Chi felt an irresistible force hit her. With a cry, she was flung backward against her will, like a kite with its strings cut. She flew right over the ring and landed hard on the ground outside.
"Oh no! I hit her too hard!" Son Goku realized what he'd done and cried out, looking regretful.
"Out of bounds! Son Goku wins!" The referee hurried over to check. Once he confirmed that Chi-Chi had landed outside the ring, he raised an arm and loudly announced the result.
"Hey, are you all right? Did you get hurt?" Son Goku hurried to the edge of the ring, crouched down, and called out to Chi-Chi with concern.
Piccolo had also seen the whole thing from the shadows cast by the high walls around the arena.
His crimson eyes narrowed, a strange, serious look in them.

What was this guy named Son Goku, anyway?
I remember the memories my father left behind. He gave this guy a thorough beating—seemed like he even killed him.
"Goku, I never imagined... I never imagined you'd become so strong..." Chi-Chi had gotten back to her feet and brushed the dust off herself. Apart from looking a little disheveled, she didn't seem to be hurt. She raised her flushed face and looked at Son Goku on the ring. There was no disappointment in her eyes—only a hint of shyness and admiration. "Only... only a man like you deserves to be my husband... All right, I'll tell you who I am. I'm Chi-Chi, Ox-King's daughter."
"Chi-Chi!" At the name, Son Goku's pupils contracted. Like a flash of lightning cutting through the fog of memory, it brought him back to himself. The images of Flame Mountain, Ox-King, and the little girl who'd chased Master Roshi with an axe appeared in his mind. He couldn't help asking for confirmation. "You're Chi-Chi? Ox-King's daughter?"
Seeing Son Goku's look of sudden realization, Chi-Chi finally nodded. A relieved smile appeared on her face.
"Taking a wife..." Son Goku finally remembered what the little girl had said to him years ago, outside the castle on Flame Mountain.
"When we grow up, you'll marry me."
"Marry you?"
"Don't play dumb!"
"I don't understand, but I promise."
"Mm... I did say that." Son Goku nodded firmly, a frank smile on his face.
"You finally... finally remembered." Chi-Chi saw his expression and at last relaxed completely. She let out a long breath and patted her heaving chest.
Son Goku looked up at the sky, a helpless yet amused expression on his face.
Back then... I thought marrying you meant taking some delicious food...
Well, since I promised her back then, a real man has to keep his word.
With that, Son Goku stopped hesitating. He walked up to Chi-Chi, looked at her flushed face, and said very directly, "Then let's get married."
"Mm." Chi-Chi's face grew even redder, like a ripe apple. She lowered her head and answered in a voice as faint as a mosquito's. An unmistakably happy, sweet smile spread across her face.
