The universe was vast, filled with many wondrous planets. Planet Yardrat was one of them.
Yardratians possessed many remarkable abilities, but these abilities were not innate traits of their bloodline. They could be acquired through study and cultivated afterward.
Rather than abilities, these remarkable powers were more like special moves or techniques.
At that moment, within a magnificent building on Planet Yardrat, a Yardratian with an entirely blue body, two protrusions on his head, a simple appearance, and a towering frame several meters tall was seriously making arrangements.
This man was an elder of Planet Yardrat named Pybara. He was responsible for a certain region and handled the affairs of the surrounding areas, making him comparable to an administrative governor on Earth, though far more respected.
Several different-looking people stood within the room. Aside from the short blue-skinned people who resembled Pybara, there was another group of short, green-skinned people who stood less than a meter tall and had slightly translucent bodies.
Like Pybara, these green-skinned people had no hair on their heads. The difference was that they had only one protrusion on their heads.
Besides these two similar races, who looked as though rice cakes had come to life, there was also a group that closely resembled conventional aliens: large heads, large eyes, no hair, and wrinkled faces.
However, these people had purple skin and were taller than the little green people, roughly the same height as ordinary Earthlings.
Whoosh!
Just as Elder Pybara was methodically arranging matters, two figures suddenly appeared out of thin air in the room, startling everyone.
Every Yardratian was a master-level expert in the use of spirit. Though their individual abilities differed, their ability to sense spirit far surpassed that of people from other planets.
Thus, the reason everyone was shocked by the two people who had suddenly appeared was that they had not sensed the slightest fluctuation in spirit beforehand. This clearly exceeded the Yardratians' understanding.
"Ahem, please forgive our unannounced visit!"
The two people who had suddenly appeared were naturally Rhode and Aila, who had arrived using Super Instant Transmission.
Seeing the strange looks on everyone's faces as they stared blankly at the two of them, Rhode gave a light cough to draw their attention before speaking.
"You may get back to work."
Although Elder Pybara was also somewhat surprised by Rhode and Aila's sudden appearance,
he sensed that the spirit on their bodies was not evil and knew they were not vicious criminals. After calming everyone down, he sent them back to their duties.
After giving his orders, Pybara looked toward Rhode and Aila. When his gaze fell on the tails around their waists, surprise flashed through his eyes.
Are there good Saiyans too?
The question crossed Pybara's mind. Still, he truly sensed no malice from either of them, so he made no extreme move.
What puzzled him was how these two Saiyan youths had appeared here. Their ability to materialize out of thin air seemed somewhat similar to Instant Transmission.
Yet their Instant Transmission had not made use of spirit. It was an extremely wondrous situation, and Pybara could not help becoming curious.
Before that, however, he first needed to confirm their purpose in coming to Planet Yardrat.
Though Rhode and Aila appeared to be youths, Pybara, as an elder, had naturally mastered the control and use of spirit more skillfully and powerfully. At a glance, he saw through them.
Yet it was precisely because he saw through them that, while shocked by the terrifying power they possessed, he was also astonished by the degree of control they had over their own strength despite being Saiyans.
The girl was one thing, but the balance between the Saiyan boy's spirit and body was exceptionally well maintained. Though it could not compare to the people of his own planet, it was still extremely impressive.
After all, in Pybara's understanding, Saiyans had no idea what cultivation was. Their control over their own strength could not exactly be called nonexistent, but it was crude and violent, with nothing worth discussing.
"Why have the two of you come here?"
Although the two before him looked young, Pybara did not underestimate them. Instead, he spoke with great seriousness and courtesy.
"Hello, I'm Rhode, and this is Aila. Please forgive us for coming unannounced and disturbing you."
The moment Rhode saw the tall blue being before him, he recognized his identity. He was the Yardratian who had taught Goku Instant Transmission and guided Vegeta in learning the Forced Separation Technique.
His name seemed to be Pybara?
"We heard that Yardratians possess many remarkable abilities, so we came here specifically to study them. We wish to learn spirit cultivation and special techniques. We hope Elder Pybara can make an exception for us."
Facing this Yardratian elder, Rhode did not beat around the bush and directly explained their purpose.
"Spirit?"
Confusion flashed across Pybara's face when he heard Rhode's words, but he quickly roughly understood what Rhode meant. "You mean spirit, don't you?"
"Oh, right, spirit. Qi is what it's called on other planets."
Hearing Pybara's words, Rhode quickly nodded. Qi did indeed have a local name on Planet Yardrat: spirit, as Pybara had called it.
"Oh, oh, no problem!"
Hearing that Rhode had come to learn, Pybara immediately nodded with a hint of pride. As he agreed, he looked at the two of them in surprise. "I never expected there to be Saiyans as humble and eager to learn as you two!"
Rhode did not react much to Pybara's words, but Aila could not help frowning. Still, she said nothing.
"Haha."
Faced with Pybara's blunt words, Rhode laughed it off rather than saying more on the matter. He changed the subject instead. "When do you think we can officially begin?"
"We can begin now!"
Seeing Rhode's thirst for knowledge, Pybara immediately looked toward the group of green-skinned little people gathered nearby. "Hazka, I'll leave them to you. If you encounter any problems you can't resolve, come find me directly."
"Understood, Lord Pybara!"
With Elder Pybara's order, the large group of nearly identical green little people instantly merged into one, becoming the Hazka Pybara had mentioned. He respectfully accepted the task.
Watching the large group of green-skinned little people become one, Aila's eyes filled with curious astonishment.
As for Rhode, he had seen much in his life and was not particularly surprised. Still, he was somewhat envious, because he did not yet know the Clone Technique.
After instructing Hazka, Pybara looked at Rhode and Aila. "Hazka will guide your cultivation. His attainments in spirit are also quite impressive!"
Hearing Pybara say this, Rhode and Aila naturally had no objections. It made no difference who taught them, so long as they could learn it.
"Please follow me!"
As they spoke, both sides settled the matter of their studies. Rhode and Aila then followed Hazka toward the training grounds.
Watching the two leave, Pybara pondered for a moment before using Instant Transmission to vanish from where he stood. He needed to meet with the other elders and discuss whether these two would bring fortune or disaster.
