Bai Yue revived Kushina, brought Sunagakure under Konoha’s control, and managed the village while the Akatsuki attacked the Land of Snow mission. After defeating their assault and revealing why Itachi massacred the Uchiha, Bai Yue left Sasuke seeking the man called Madara and equipped Hinata and Naruto to grow stronger as Pain moved toward Gaara.

• Bai Yue revived Kushina with Tsunade’s help, then became Fifth Hokage and returned to the succession ceremony after capturing Sunagakure and incorporating its ninja into Konoha.
• Bai Yue offered Tsunade a chance to resurrect someone, assigned Kakashi to escort Kazahana Koyuki, and uncovered White Zetsu spying near the Hokage Building.
• Pain organized an Akatsuki ambush against Naruto’s group in the Land of Snow while Bai Yue asked Orochimaru to investigate the Sky Ninja and related techniques.
• Kazahana Dōtō fought the Akatsuki and was defeated, but the Akatsuki then attacked Kakashi’s ship and clashed with Naruto, Sasuke, and their companions.
• Bai Yue arrived, shattered Itachi’s Susanoo, drove off the Akatsuki, and explained to Sasuke that Itachi had taken the blame for the massacre to protect him after the Nine-Tails attack helped fuel the Uchiha coup crisis.
• Bai Yue left Sasuke to pursue the man calling himself Madara Uchiha, gave Hinata a Hamura Statue Summoning Contract, and offered Naruto scrolls on Wood Release and Sage Mode.
• Deva Path Pain confirmed Gaara was the One-Tail Jinchuriki and moved toward him and his companions.

Bai Yue rescued Gaara, reunited Naruto with Kushina, and kept Jiraiya from pursuing the Akatsuki. He then forced Kirigakure to surrender and brought its shinobi to Konoha, where Shikaku began integrating them into the village.

• Jiraiya arrived as Gaara was captured, but Bai Yue later found the Akatsuki’s cave and restored Gaara’s life force after the One-Tail was extracted.
• Bai Yue sealed Jiraiya to stop him from investigating the Akatsuki, then returned to Konoha and told Kushina about Naruto and showed her a picture of Naruko.
• Kushina reunited with Naruto at Konoha’s gates, and Bai Yue revealed that she was Naruto’s mother and Minato Namikaze’s wife.
• Kushina welcomed Sasuke into her home, attacked Hidan after Naruto explained his capture attempt, and joined the others for a meal with Jiraiya and Tsunade.
• Bai Yue handed Hidan over to Danzo for study, then took Shikaku and the Flying Thunder God Squad to Kirigakure.
• Bai Yue demanded Kirigakure surrender and return the Hyuga Clan’s Byakugan, then overwhelmed Mei Terumi and accepted the village’s submission.
• Bai Yue recovered Ao’s Byakugan, killed Kirigakure defectors who tried to flee, and brought Mei Terumi and the village’s Jonin and Special Jonin to Konoha.
• Shikaku began integrating Kirigakure’s shinobi into Konoha, named Mei Terumi a Hokage Advisor, and proposed that Chiyo and Ebizo serve in the same role.

Bai Yue expanded his control over the villages while investigating the Zero-Tails, placing Shadow Clones across the branches and developing new versions of the creature. The arc left him pursuing the Evil God and watching over Toneri after the boy was hospitalized.

• Bai Yue recovered Hyuga Hika’s stolen Byakugan for Hyuga Jinren, while Ōnoki and A discussed an alliance against Konoha and Pain prioritized capturing the Three-Tails and Six-Tails.
• Bai Yue trained Sasuke, helped Yakumo recover by altering her memories, and brought Karin and Tayuya into his household and Konoha’s ninja ranks.
• Bai Yue extracted the Zero-Tails from Yu Liu, studied its nature, and seized the Sky Fortress before ordering Orochimaru to investigate Mōryō.
• After rogue ninja attacked the Land of Water Branch, Shikaku deployed support to the Water and Wind branches, and Bai Yue approved the plan and sent Shadow Clones to reinforce them.
• Bai Yue developed dark and ordinary versions of the Zero-Tails, then learned that the Akatsuki Organization might target the Three-Tails and that Gaara had been captured.
• Bai Yue brought captured attackers into the True Illusionary Realm, where Tingting revealed her Mayfly Ninjutsu and asked for help for the Fuma Clan.
• Bai Yue took Hidan from Root to question him about the Evil God and forced Danzo to hand over his remaining pairs of Three Tomoe Sharingan.
• Hyuga Bun reported that Toneri had been hospitalized after losing too much blood, and Sasuke told Naruto that Toneri was likely connected to Bai Yue.

Bai Yue expanded Konoha’s influence, dealt with threats in the Land of Water and the Fuma Clan, and infiltrated Akatsuki while war loomed with Kumogakure and Iwagakure. The stretch ended with Team 7 returning to Konoha for the celebration as Bai Yue prepared for the coming conflict.

• Bai Yue assigned Toneri to Jiraiya’s temporary class, explained the danger of Toneri’s Tenseigan, and sent the new team on a mission to the Land of Hot Water.
• Deidara captured the injured Three-Tails while Might Guy’s team defeated and captured Sasori, whom Bai Yue turned into a True Illusionary Realm charger.
• Bai Yue held a large barbecue banquet, put Might Guy in charge of the Land of Water Branch with Shikamaru’s help, and began a relationship with Mei Terumi.
• Bai Yue assigned Zabuza to investigate suspected troublemakers in the Land of Water and ordered Sasuke to kill Danzo during the upcoming celebration.
• Tingting fought Kakuzu at the Fuma Clan grounds, and Bai Yue captured Obito, removed his Mangekyo, and uncovered how White Zetsu had saved him.
• Bai Yue infiltrated Akatsuki, delivered Fuu to Pain, then entered Konoha with Deidara and captured him before confirming his identity to Kakashi.
• As Kumogakure and Iwagakure mobilized, Bai Yue told Shikaku to prepare for war and ordered an advance into the Land of Grass after Konoha’s celebration.
• Team 7 returned to Konoha, where Jiraiya took Naruto, Sasuke, and Toneri to a lively hotpot gathering and Toneri introduced himself as Bai Yue’s distant cousin.
