Background

Tang San founded the Tang Sect and was the leader of the first Shrek Seven Devils. After becoming a god, he moved the Golden Ancient Tree to Shrek Academy; the sect nevertheless declined over the following ten thousand years. 10 43

From the God Realm, Tang San monitors Douluo Continent and seeks to control the Child of Destiny to gain power and secure the continent for the Tang family. He notices Ye Chen's exceptional talent but dismisses him because Ye Chen appears to possess insufficient destiny to become a god. 62

When Emperor Armor's Power of Light appears in Yong'an City, Tang San interprets it as a threat to his plans. He attacks the city with a Heaven-Shrouding Giant Palm, treating its inhabitants as expendable, but Emperor Armor destroys the attack with Qiankun Aurora and leaves Tang San afflicted by Power of Light. 135 136

The Light's erosion steadily drains Tang San's divine power and is intensified by his hostile thoughts. His faith on Douluo Continent also collapses, contributing to his loss of God King strength and removal from the God Realm Committee. 137 154 300 301

Desperate to recover, Tang San accepts Dark Power from an Outer Realm Heavenly Demon. The power restores him to the peak God King realm, but transforms all of his prior divine power into Dark Divine Power. He later receives a Dark Seed intended for Ye Chen, though Wang Dong'er gives the seed to Ye Chen instead of carrying out Tang San's plan. 302 306

Tang San descends upon Douluo Continent with divine officials and attempts to eliminate Ye Chen. The continent's population rejects him and supports the Emperor; his Dark Divine Power and Dark Seed fail to overcome Ye Chen's Power of Light. A fragment of Tang San's soul survives through Darkness's intervention. Forced to submit as Darkness's slave, he undergoes a second transformation into the Black Demon Beast, kills the God of Destruction, and purges deities who had opposed him. Appearance

Tang San initially appears as a blue-haired, blue-robed divine figure associated with the Sea God. While using Asura power, his hair changes to blood-red and his aura becomes violent. 62 136

Following his absorption of Dark Power, his hair turns dark green, his eyes become emerald green, and his nose turns red. 315 320

He publicly presents himself as upright and selfless while demanding control of the God Realm Core on the basis of his superior strength and claimed contributions. His private thoughts, however, repeatedly focus on punishing rivals, eliminating dissenters, and securing absolute authority. 312 313

Setbacks intensify his rage rather than temper it. After being afflicted by Emperor's Power of Light, losing his Committee seat, and being defeated by Ye Chen, he becomes increasingly willing to embrace darkness for revenge.
