Chapter 57: Leon Kai No. 1 Is Doubling Down!
(There was a slight change to the tournament format mentioned in the previous chapter. The first day wasn't just for teams with a 0–0 record; half of the teams at 0–1 also had to finish their matches that day.)
Yesterday's review had taken a great deal of effort. Thinking back on it now, MO still felt a headache coming on.
Helmet didn't have a coach, so a lot of things fell to him, as team captain, to play the bad cop over. It was easy for things to turn into full-blown arguments.
What should have been a simple BO1 review had taken nearly two hours to finish.
But that was how post-match reviews went. Everyone had their own ideas, and only by working through them amid constant arguments could the team grow closer and go further.
After washing up, he headed to the training room upstairs. When he opened the door, he saw Jiang Yang sitting there, diligently practicing.
"The captain's here?" Jiang Yang turned and nodded toward the table. "Have you had breakfast? There are some rolls I brought up from downstairs."
MO raised an eyebrow. "You've already eaten? How early did you get up?"
He was still a little groggy this early in the morning, so he just made conversation as they chatted.
Jiang Yang stood up and stretched. Several parts of his body popped and cracked before he answered, "I've been up for a while. I just finished my morning practice. I'm taking a break before the others arrive, then we'll work on retakes."
At this hour, it was basically impossible to arrange scrims, so they did most of their teamwork practice in retake mode.
Jiang Yang understood the principle of moderation. Once he'd finished his preparations, he
