The End of Second Year
From early May to mid-June, Regulus lived a peaceful and peaceful life in Hogwarts.
There is no Voldemort, no Death Eaters, no smugglers, no Bellatrix, only classes, homework, Library, and the fights between the little wizard.
Living this kind of life was so light that when he occasionally walked in Corridor and watched two waves of little wizards pulling out their wands and spraying curses at each other because of a remark, he felt like he was watching a group of kittens fighting.
His fur exploded, his paws stretched out, he rushed up to me with a howl, and after the spanking, he licked his fur and went back to sleep. He had to go to class together the next day.
As soon as June arrived, all four colleges began to become restless.
Exam anxiety and accumulated grudges from the college made the entire Castle little Wizards lose their temper.
The conflict between Gryffindor and Slytherin is visibly intensifying. Disarming Charm is heard every three or five times on Corridor, and occasionally there are one or two small evil curses. It cannot kill people, but it can make people's mouths swell for three days or their faces are covered with pustules.
Slytherin There were a few junior students here who were blocked once on the fourth floor. On the other side was Gryffindor. After a few pushes, the professor tore them apart.
Polius·Greengrass Common Room said with a cold face, "Take care of your wands before exam week."
Prefect spoke, but no one dared to speak up. It was quiet for two days, and on the third day someone else did it in Corridor.
That's what happened to the little wizard. When it was time to fight, when it was time to be nervous, once the exams were over and we separated for the summer, it was still the same when we came back in the fall.
Exam week is approaching, and the atmosphere in Dormitory is also getting tense.
I got the soothing paper bird for Alex Transfiguration last year, and I made a few more this year.
The paper bird hovered between the desk and the bed tent, its soft chirping and soothing Magic Power filling the air.
Lina and Samuel also gave away two each.
The position of these two people in Slytherin has changed from the ignored edge Half-bloods to the people around Black. No one provokes them, but no one pays attention to them.
Half-bloods comes from a family with no background, but is still transparent in Slytherin's social circle. Dormitory is the place that best embodies this sense of transparency. The roommates all live their own lives, and it's deserted.
After the paper bird was brought back, the situation changed a bit.
The roommates of Lina looked at the two palm-sized paper birds Accio inside Dormitory. The bright blue halo reflected on the stone wall, and the chirping was so soft that people relaxed their nervous expressions.
A roommate couldn't help but reach out and touch it. The paper bird circled around her fingertips and sprinkled a few light particles.
"Costa, where did this thing come from?"
Lina suppressed the corners of his mouth, tried hard to put on a strange expression that you rarely see, shrugged his shoulders, and said nothing.
But the roommates will think for themselves.
This kind of magical product that obviously has soothing magic power cannot be obtained by Costa, a mixed-race without any background, and it is completely incompatible with her own magic level.
Then there is only one source, Black.
The roommates looked at Lina a little more subtly.
Everyone in Slytherin knows that the two Half-bloodss, Costa and Vance, are the followers of Black, but there are differences between the followers.
There are two different things between receiving a visible Magic item from Black and just running errands with Black.
Followers may not be guaranteed, but if they can get such benefits, Black is really taking care of them.
People at Slytherin know the meaning behind this kind of thing very well.
Regulus himself doesn't need to review. For him, the second-grade exam is almost like eating fried eggs, toast, and grilled Steak. How much you eat depends entirely on how much you want to eat.
There is no need to memorize knowledge points. The knowledge in my mind far exceeds the syllabus. Reviewing does not exist at all. All the free time is spent on Library.
Hogwarts's Alchemy collection of books is indeed too small. The few Marseille Arcade Street textbooks Marseille Arcade Street bought that France brought back are more complete than the school Library's inventory. After reading them, there is nothing left to read.
The rest worth browsing are all in the set of Forbidden Section and Disillusionment Charm. The wife can't find him at all. Even if the library is closed, it won't affect him. On the contrary, it will be quieter and the reading efficiency will be higher.
Nicolas Flamel's early manuscript manuscript, original French version, records Alchemy's experimental path thirty years before Flamel discovered Philosopher's Stone.
There are a lot of dead ends, failed records and crossed-out formulas, and among the repeatedly revised marginalia, there are occasionally one or two lines of deduction that suddenly appear.
Paracelsus's <Theory of the Transformation of All Things> talks about the transformation boundary between Magic substances and non-Magic substances. This book overlaps with his Disintegration Charm system.
Disintegration Charm shatters the physical structure of the target, and Alchemy redefines the shattered matter.
Paracelsus proposed a similar theoretical framework in the sixteenth century. Although his way of expressing it is very old, the two paths did meet at the same node.
An unsigned ancient book named Space Magic. The edges of the parchment were yellow and brittle, and the ink marks on some pages were so faded that they were almost invisible.
It records the theoretical deduction of folded space by an unknown wizard in the fourteenth century, which echoes his existing Spatial Anchor system.
The wizard proposed the hypothesis that space folds could be artificially fixed six hundred years ago. Although it was not realized, the deduction process was of great reference value to Regulus.
There is also a banned book like Defense Against the Dark Arts, <The Structure of Curses and Principles of Counter-Curses>, which does not teach how to cast a curse, but teaches how to identify the triggering mechanism of the curse and dismantle the pre-embedded triggering curse.
It took him three nights to finish it. Next time he encounters Bellatrix's little trick, he can dismantle it directly.
In my spare time, I went to take a look at the plant Whomping Willow and Cornwall brought back. It has been half a year and it has almost grown.
It moved from the open space behind Greenhouse No. 4 to the outside of Shrieking Shack, and kept company with another Whomping Willow. There was about thirty meters between the two trees.
The new one is wild after all. It is taller than the old one, has thicker branches, hits people with more force, and swings wilder.
New shoots sprouted from the ends of the branches, and the leaves were tender green and sparkling in the June sunshine.
The roots have completely penetrated into the soil of Hogwarts and are connected to the veins of Magic Power below. The whole tree is full of vitality.
Regulus goes to take a look every now and then, and loses a wave of Natural Magic Power. Every time he comes to it, the branch of the Whomping Willow plant will shake slightly, and he has recognized the person.
Baruk also gets along well with this tree.
When Regulus lost to Magic Power, it jumped off his shoulder, climbed up the trunk, and lay down where the main trunk bifurcated. Its eight legs clawed at the bark of the tree. The spider's head poked out from between the two branches. The white spots around its eight eyes lit up, sensing the growth of the leaves.
Whomping Willow will stretch out a thin branch and pat it gently on its back, just hard enough to scratch it.
Baruk is a courtesy spider. It sticks out its butt and sprays out a small ball of spider silk that sticks to the branch as a return gift.
Spider and Whomping Willow stay together, the scene is strange, but both sides are very comfortable.
A month has passed like this.
June 13th, exam week.
Transfiguration crosses Transfiguration to turn a guinea pig into a guinea pig-sized cushion. It is required to retain the texture of the fabric while Transfiguration has an accurate front-to-back volume ratio.
Regulus With the tip of the cane, the outline of the guinea pig is softened and flattened, tassels grow on the edges, and the hair turns into velvet material. It is completed in two seconds and is set in one go.
McGonagall walked past his desk, glanced at the fabric texture of the cushions and the tassels in the corners, nodded, and walked over to see the next student.
Charms Test compound Spellcasting, Professor Flitwick Let students work in pairs to release two spells of different natures at the same time, and let them meet and fuse at the target location.
Regulus's partner was arranged by Avery and Flitwick. I probably thought it would be safer to let Black take Cuthbert with him.
Avery first released a Lumos, followed by Regulus followed by a Color-Changing Charm. The two spells met in the air. The white light of Lumos was dyed dark blue by Color-Changing Charm, and a small group of blue Mars exploded at the target location.
Then in reverse, Regulus released Lumos, and Avery suddenly had a whim and released Levitation Charm.
The two spells collided in the air, Lumos flew towards the window in a spin, hit the glass and exploded, the entire window was dyed pink.
Professor Flitwick's expression was hard to explain, but he didn't say anything. He lowered his head and drew something on the score sheet. The gesture didn't look like a circle.
Potions was testing Forgetfulness Potion's practical preparation. Slughorn was pacing back and forth in the classroom with a smile on his face, occasionally stopping to look at the students' crucibles.
Regulus Finished it ten minutes in advance, the color and concentration are right, and there is light blue steam coming out of the crucible.
Slughorn came over and looked down, nodded with satisfaction, and then tapped the edge of the crucible with the small silver spoon in his hand.
"Mr. Black, sit down and wait for other students to finish their exams. Be quiet and don't disturb others."
The pot next to it was emitting black smoke, and a Hufflepuff little wizard hurriedly added Mistletoe Berries into it, trying to save it.
Regulus was sitting on the chair, Baruk stuck his head out of his sleeves, looked at the smoking pot, and then retracted it.
Magic Defense is a test of actual combat and protection. Professor Ezra Vance drew a duel platform in the middle of the classroom and asked students to take turns to go up to catch his spells and test defense and evasion.
It was the turn of Regulus, Vance, and three Disarming Charm were fired in succession. The force was much heavier than the previous test, and the color was bright red even during the day.
In the first pass, he stepped aside, in the second pass, he used his wand to deflect, and in the third pass, he directly released Shield Charm.
Vance was silent for a moment, put away his wand, and said, "Very good, Mr. Black."
Then he drew a circle on his transcript.
Herbology tested the maintenance of Devil's Snare and Mandrake. Professor Sprout let the little Wizards enter Greenhouse one by one, treated a Devil's Snare that was not growing well, and repotted the Mandrake.
Devil's Snare is afraid of light, so most students used Lumos to force it back before operating it. Regulus didn't, so he started directly. As soon as the vine of Devil's Snare touched his finger, it automatically let go, slowly retracted, and curled up quietly.
As for Mandrake, he was very familiar with it. He changed the basin in a few times, and Professor Sprout nodded with satisfaction.
History of Magic took a written exam, and the questions were about the three turning points of the goblin uprising, and the evolution of the relationship between wizards and goblin over the past five hundred years. Regulus took twenty minutes to answer, and spent the rest of the time staring out the window in a daze.
Astronomy took the Star Chart drawing test, which was a night test. On Astronomy Tower, Professor Sinistra asked them to draw the trajectory diagram of the Jupiter satellite against Telescope.
Regulus Without Telescope, the stars in the sky are clearer in his mind than in Telescope.
He closed his eyes and drew half of the drawing, opened his eyes and filled in the other half, handed in the paper, and got off the tower.
The week of exams is over.
Second grade is over.
