Study's door closed behind him, and the firelight from the fireplace cast a faint green light on the entire book wall.

Orion walked to a bookshelf, took out his wand, and clicked on the letter S on the spine of a book.

There was a muffled sound from the dark room, and a long wooden box slid out from the depths of the bookshelf and landed in his hand.

The box was Black Walnut Wood, unpainted, and the surface was polished to a shiny finish. He placed the box on the desk, put his fingers on the edge, and was silent for a while.

"It's Black family's thing," his voice was somewhat nostalgic. "This wand has no name, Black family's people never call it by name."

The lid of the box was opened and a magic wand lay inside.

Regulus walked to the desk and looked down.

The body of the staff is completely black, so black that it doesn't reflect any luster in the green firelight of the fireplace, as if all the light has been sucked in.

The wood grain is no longer the natural pattern of tree growth. It has an inorganic regularity. The wand is half a size thicker than an ordinary wand. The handle has no decoration and is slightly naturally curved.

"On the black Yew, Scotland North Sea shore, an old tree was struck by lightning. After the lightning strike, the tree lived for more than a hundred years before falling down."

Regulus stood in front of the table and listened quietly.

Orion continued, "The core of the staff is the heart tendineae of Thestral. An old Thestral lived for hundreds of years. He died of natural causes. After his death, his body was preserved by Black family. The heart tendineae were taken out to make the staff core."

Regulus raised an eyebrow.

Thestral material is not considered mainstream in UK. The three items displayed in the Ollivander store are the serious ones, Phoenix Feather, Dragon Heartstring, and Unicorn Hair.

Even if some people use it, they usually take tail hairs, which is already the most unsophisticated thing, and the cardiac cord is something that no one has ever touched.

Orion looked at Regulus, his voice not heavy, but not easy either. "After this wand was made, Black family's ancestor peeled out a strand of his own soul, and the part that was closest to Dark Arts was sealed into the core of the wand.

The price was that he died faster than normal and his soul was incomplete, but since then, this wand has had something it shouldn't have. It can't be said to be a consciousness, but it can't be said to be a dead thing."

He pushed the box towards Regulus: "For hundreds of years, this wand has been fed by Dark Arts in the hands of Black family and each generation of Patriarch. The soul and the core of the wand grow together and are inseparable."

He raised his head, looked at Regulus with gray eyes, and said nothing else.

Regulus looked at the dark wand in the box, curved his mouth, and didn't ask anything.

There was such a good thing hidden at home, and his father wouldn't even know it unless he took it out.

He reached out and took the wand out of the box.

The moment his hand touched the stick, a deep and deep chill seeped out of the wood and ran up his fingers.

Then his skin tightened, and he felt something move inside the stick, like a snake that had been sleeping for a long time. He smelled a familiar smell and slowly raised his head.

He turned his wrist and took the wand entirely into his palm.

Deep in the core of the staff, the ancient soul fragment is still moving, swimming slowly against the body of the staff, as if it is identifying his bloodline.

After identifying it, it was his own cub. A sense of closeness seeped out of the stick and spread along the palm and into the arm.

The next moment, Containment Chamber suddenly moved deep in his mind.

The Virtual Persona who was responsible for researching Dark Enlightenment, the little thing in the isolated space deep in his consciousness, suddenly raised his head and looked in the direction of the magic wand.

An expression of greed and curiosity appeared on its face, as well as an emotion that Regulus had not set for it, much like a thing that was awakened by the smell of meat.

The concentration of darkness deposited in the wand was too high, penetrating his isolation structure and touching Containment Chamber's wall, causing Filtration Layer to tremble.

Legilimency activated itself at the same moment, and Regulus could feel the mental defense tightening layer by layer.

He knew what it meant. This wand aroused his defensive instincts and made his defense system feel the need to be alert.

He didn't pay attention and let them move on their own. They were all his own things and they had to get along well with each other.

Regulus held the wand and felt it for a while. In terms of function, it became clear after Magic Power touched the core of the wand.

The Dark Arts it shoots out is different from other wands.

For other magic wands, it's over. When the spell hits the target, it will explode if it should explode, if it should rot, it will be over when it is over.

After hitting this one, there will be an afterimage of Dark Arts left at the place where it hit.

There is no light or smoke in that thing. It is just an unclosed wound created by the spell in the air. The air around the wound will continue to rot, continue to twitch, and will not close.

Even if the enemy blocks it with Shield Charm, the afterimage will not disperse. It will stop at the blocked position, continue to burn, continue to grind, and continue to drill deeper.

Blocking one attack doesn't mean it's over, the place will continue to be rotten.

In other words, if you get hit by this thing, there is only a beginning, not an end. You have to carry it until you are worn through by it, or until you run far enough.

It is equivalent to giving the opponent a negative status that cannot be shaken off, and it is continuous damage.

Good stuff.

Regulus also discovered something. This magic wand was eating his emotions, eating the little things seeping out of Containment Chamber.

Anger, murderous intent, and desire for dominance were originally just detritus floating on the edge of consciousness, but now they have a place to go.

The wand was eating them, and after eating them, it turned into a very low hum, ringing softly near Magic Core.

Regulus held it and slowly turned his wrist.

Of course, this thing has a threshold to recognize blood, but blood alone is not enough. If Sirius picks it up, it will not resist, but it will not give any response. It is just a very expensive, ugly and heavy dead wood.

The people it really responds to are those who have been with darkness, accepted darkness, and stayed in darkness without being swallowed up.

He happens to be.

The darkness accumulated in his body is not low to begin with. Magic Power and this wand are resonating, and there is no need for anyone to adapt to the other.

Regulus weighed the wand in his hand and pressed it firmly.

He looked up at Orion, raised the corner of his mouth, and smiled in his eyes, "Are there any other good things at home?"

Orion glanced at him sideways. "Yes, but I won't give it to you now."

"Okay," Regulus nodded, with a matter-of-fact tone. "Then give it to me next time."

Orion closed the empty box and put it deep into the bookshelf without looking back, too lazy to pay attention to it.

Regulus shrugged his shoulders, pinned Black Wand firmly behind his waist, and patted the inside of his robe where he kept his daily wand.

From today on, he is also a man with two magic wands.

Orion turned around and saw his son's smiling face, and the corners of his mouth curved slightly.

"Let's go." He walked to the door and opened it.

Regulus followed and walked out.

Back in the restaurant, Walburga was still sitting in her original seat. When she saw Regulus coming in, she stood up and walked over to straighten his collar.

Her fingers pressed on his shoulder. "Go to sleep."

Regulus smiled, "Good night, mother."

He took Baruk upstairs.

Pushing open the bedroom door, Baruk jumped off his shoulders first, jumped to the head of the bed, rolled back and forth on the pillow twice, and finally shrank into a small ball, staring at the door with eight eyes, waiting for him to come in.

Regulus took off his robe, changed into his pajamas, and lay down.

Outside the window was the London night, and a car passed by in the distance. The car lights lit up on the curtains for a moment, then dimmed again.

He turned over and closed his eyes.

On July 2nd, all London owls were working overtime, and reports on <The Daily Prophet> were overwhelming.

The front page was taken up by the photo of Magic. Regulus was standing on the white steps of Gringotts, wearing a black robe, a wand pointing to the sky, a golden beam of light running through the entire page, and the background was gilded Latin characters covering the entire sky.

Owls flew one after another outside the window of Grimmauld Place, some were letters to Blight family, most were just passing by, and some simply flew in the wrong direction from above Diagon Alley.

Kreacher ran to the door from morning to night, and the letters he brought back were piled on the Entrance Hall's small table. Orion didn't even read them.

On July 3rd, responses from various countries began to come back. Orion spent the whole day processing letters and information in Study. The parchment rolls on the table piled up into a small mountain.

Regulus didn't go anywhere, reading in his bedroom.

Orion Alchemy academic materials collected from various sources, Paracelsus School's journals, Prague Alchemy Association's internal communications, French Magical Society's quarterly magazines.

Some are handwritten manuscripts, some are mimeographed, and the binding is uneven, but the content is solid and they are all truly cutting-edge papers, far beyond the level of textbooks.

He flipped through page after page, marked key passages when he encountered them, and copied them down with Quick-Quotes Quill to reserve knowledge for future Alchemy advancement.

Baruk lies on the table, and every time Regulus turns a page, it climbs up with its two front legs, spreads itself on the page, and stares at the words on the parchment with its eight small amber eyes.

After looking at it for a long time, the spider tilted its head, climbed down again, turned to the next page, and climbed up again.

Regulus I don't know what a spider can tell from Alchemy's paper, but it is very serious.

Watch for a while, touch a certain character with your chelicerae, then look up at Regulus, as if you understand.

July 4th, daytime.

Grimmauld Place was so quiet that only the sound of Kreacher rubbing Silver Instruments was left. Everything that needed to be arranged was arranged, and everything that needed to be confirmed was confirmed.

Orion went through the information for the last time in Study, including the movements of Rowle family, the gathering position of the vassals, and the terrain and weather of Yorkshire.

Regulus stayed in Training Room all afternoon, not practicing anything new, just adjusting to the best state.

He closed his eyes and sat cross-legged on the floor.

Saiph has been changing in the past three days.

After the announcement was made, the influence spread automatically. He didn't have to do anything. The name Regulus·Black spread by itself.

More and more people are discussing, evaluating, reporting, recording, and speculating.

News circulates among Europe's Pureblood families, among Ministry of Magic's Corridor in various countries, and in every corner of Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, and Hogsmeade.

The soul is very full, and the feeling is very clear, as if something is slowly crystallizing deep in the soul, getting harder and heavier.

The feedback from Saiph is becoming more and more obvious. In the lower right corner of Star Orbit, it is collapsing inward, burning darker and heavier, heavier, and denser.

Approaching a certain critical point, but still short of the final kick.

Regulus Open your eyes.

Late at night on July 4th, Regulus was changing clothes in the bedroom.

The dark black combat attire, the fabric is thicker than the formal attire, and Black family crest is embroidered with silver thread from the collar to the chest. It is one size larger than the daily attire.

The cuffs are tightened, and the hem reaches the middle of the calf. Lifting the legs and turning around are unrestricted. The daily wand is pinned to the inside of the robe, and the Black Wand is pinned to the back of the waist.

He walked downstairs, and Walburga and Orion were waiting in the Entrance Hall.

Walburga stood at the top of the stairs, wearing a dark home robe and a thin shawl, with his hands folded in front of him.

Orion stood a little behind her, his hands hanging naturally by his side, his gray eyes watching him walk down without saying a word.

Walburga came over, opened his hands, and pulled him into his arms, using his arms harder than usual.

Regulus raised his hand, patted her back, rested his chin on his mother's shoulder, and said with a smile in his voice, "Mom, prepare breakfast for me."

Walburga said nothing and hugged him tighter.

He let her hold him.

After a while, she let go of her hand, took a step back, and stared at his face. There was not much emotion on her face, but the ends of her eyes were a little red.

Orion stepped forward, raised his hand and pressed his shoulder with a steady force. He paused for a while before taking it away. "Don't worry at home."

Regulus nodded to his father.

Kreacher was hunched over by the door, his long ears dragging to the floor. The door was already open.

The July night wind blew over, bringing with it the dampness of the London streets and the moisture of the Thames River in the distance.

Regulus turned around, walked out of the door, and walked into the night.

Then it disappeared.
