History
Migration from Gliese 625
The Lantu Ke Civilization launched a civilization-wide migration from Gliese 625 after its leadership warned that a “natural disaster” was approaching. Lower-ranking personnel, including Security Department Head Momo Lansi, were told only that survival required following the Commanders’ orders without question 65 66.
Its environmental vanguard entered the Solar System ahead of the main fleet to survey habitable worlds. The vanguard selected Earth after its telescope array allegedly detected life but no Industrial Markers in the atmosphere, leading it to conclude that no advanced civilization occupied the system 65 66. The vanguard mothership suffered an accident and docked beside Adversary Star, where Li Qingsong captured its personnel, mothership, bases, and surviving equipment 65 67.
The migration explanation was later shown to be incomplete at best. The Lantu Ke public had been told that the Solar System was unclaimed, while Li Qingsong suspected the leadership’s actual plan involved extracting resources and departing again after the migration fleet arrived 66.
Solar System War
The main fleet traveled at a maximum speed of roughly 3% of light speed and had already spent around five centuries in transit when its presence was revealed to Li Qingsong 66. It began decelerating after entering the Solar System’s gravitational boundary and ignored Li Qingsong’s proposal to peacefully change its destination 131 132.
The fleet initially gathered supplies around Huishen Star, a dwarf planet, while conducting reconnaissance through satellites and probes 133. After nearly ten years there, it moved inward under the escort of hundreds of thousands of warships and ultimately captured the Second Planet, gaining access to deuterium, minerals, and local industrial capacity 144.
Following its defeat in the Uranus system, the Lantu Ke leadership attempted negotiations but demanded compensation, apologies, and supplies. Li Qingsong refused to let the fleet leave, leading to a renewed campaign under General Halier 139 140. As the war dragged on, the fleet adopted guerrilla tactics against the Solar System’s planets, but growing losses and resource pressure destabilized its society 142.
Collapse on Venus
During its final offensive, panic erupted among the Lantu Ke population on Venus after a factory explosion. Competition for Space Elevator and shuttle access escalated into violence, destroying infrastructure and collapsing civil order despite Haiwei’s attempts to restore calm 152.
Li Qingsong destroyed the remaining fleet in a Total Offensive and forced fleeing ships back toward Venus. After one month, the surviving Lantu Ke population surrendered; 160 million civilians and more than 500,000 spacecraft were taken prisoner 154.
Blueprint Clan
The survivors were transferred to Mars and housed in the newly built Lantu City. Li Qingsong interrogated senior survivors for information on Calamities and acquired Lantu Ke technological knowledge, including compact ship-mounted nuclear fusion, ion propulsion, and layered spatial-scanning radar 155.
Momo Lansi was appointed leader of the Blueprint Clan, with the former Confidential Secretary serving as deputy leader 159. Blueprint Humans were permitted to reproduce and receive education, but were barred from the primary and secondary industries; Human Civilization retained exclusive control over food, water, medicine, manufacturing, and other essential supplies 160.
The Blueprint Clan later became a major source of scientific perspectives outside Li Qingsong’s unified clone consciousness. Its scientists helped identify blind spots and supported research during the fleet’s long interstellar voyage 174.
Lantu Ke Identity
After the conquest, Li Qingsong increasingly used the Lantu Ke Civilization’s name in external diplomacy to conceal Human Civilization’s true identity. Momo Lansi represented the civilization in communications with the Recorder Civilization, claiming that the Lantu Ke Civilization had reached the Strong Nuclear level and destroyed the Havilah and Black Mountain Civilizations 310.
Other civilizations subsequently recognized Li Qingsong’s fleet as the Lantu Ke Civilization. Under that identity, it negotiated with the Abyss Civilization, returned Azure Blue to the Green Light Clan, received Cloud Luo protection, fought the Purple Moon Civilization, and later aided the Tavira Civilization 326 327 343 351 387.
Physiology
Lantu Ke People are carbon-based lifeforms with bodily structures distinct from humans 70.
- Chief Haiwei and another senior Lantu Ke officer are described as tall figures covered in neat silver-white scales. 132
- Their biotechnology could be partially adapted for human use because both species are carbon-based. 70
- Their appearance was used as a cover identity: Li Qingsong modified human-origin clones through biotechnology to resemble Lantu Ke People during contact with the Cloud Luo Civilization. 338
Technology
Interstellar Industry and Propulsion
Before its collapse, the Lantu Ke Civilization possessed mature interstellar travel and a population of roughly one hundred billion, including several billion scientists 70.
- Mature small-scale controllable nuclear fusion reactors. 70
- High-speed ion propulsion. 70 155
- Large-scale industrial capacity capable of supporting a migration fleet and warship production. 70 144
- Dependence on deuterium as fusion fuel, making gas giants and major planets strategically valuable. 133 144
Sensors and Electronic Warfare
The civilization used planetary atmosphere spectrum determination to assess worlds before migration 66.
- Massive space telescope arrays for atmospheric and habitability surveys. 66
- Detection of Industrial Markers and atmospheric carbon-dioxide changes. 66
- Layered spatial-scanning radar. 155
- High-speed reaction radar, information interference, and anti-interference systems. 70
Military Technology
Lantu Ke warships outclassed Li Qingsong’s early forces and combined several advanced systems into each vessel 70.
- Multi-layer reactive armor. 70
- Electromagnetic cannons and laser cannons. 70
- Automatic interception systems. 70
- A main fleet escorted by hundreds of thousands of warships and automated defensive weapons during its inward advance on Venus. 144
Biotechnology
Lantu Ke biotechnology was among the most valuable assets recovered from the vanguard and later survivors 70.
- Genetic modification plans, culture-medium formulations, and cultivation equipment designs advanced Li Qingsong’s clone technology. 70
- The technology provided Human Civilization with biological knowledge and alternative research perspectives unavailable to Li Qingsong’s clones. 160 174
Society and Government
- The civilization’s leadership included Commanders, a Chief, generals, and a Head of State residence with confidential staff. 66 132 155
- The population was conditioned to obey Commanders absolutely, treating obedience as essential to civilizational survival. 66
- Senior officials and scientific advisory teams participated in strategic analysis, including the conclusion that Human Civilization possessed an unusually valuable technological creation. 141
- Public confidence in the leadership eroded after repeated military losses and shortages, culminating in societal collapse on Venus. 142 152
- The civilization once numbered more than one hundred billion people before being reduced to 160 million survivors. 155
