Lord Qianyue emerges from hiding to challenge Dao Lord Taichu, attacking immediately with a Black Sword and forcing Taichu into a defensive battle 1617. He initially gains the advantage, wounds Taichu, and appears poised to kill him before Taichu reveals further reserves of power 1618 1619.

The conflict becomes an extended duel of swordsmanship, Moon Power, Dark Power, transformations, artifacts, and elemental techniques. Qianyue repeatedly turns apparent defeats into counterattacks, including breaking free from Taichu's grasp through a mysterious surge of power and disarming Taichu during their exchange 1622 1624 1625.

Taichu challenges Qianyue's mindset rather than only his strength, arguing that Qianyue's chaotic mind restricts his abilities. Qianyue eventually absorbs this lesson and returns to battle with greater composure, briefly gaining the upper hand 1635 1643.
