Background / History

At age three, Izuna finds Mina and the infant Kosuke alone in Aoba's long-vacant house after their evacuation to the Uchiha clan grounds. He obtains food and supplies, treats Mina's injured finger with medicine and bandages, and continues bringing meals and warm milk for the siblings while Aoba recovers 3.

Over the following years, he grows close to Mina and frequently visits Kosuke's home under the pretext of chakra-refinement training. Kosuke recognizes that Izuna is interested in Mina and resents being left out of their bond 4 5.

When the Uchiha resume war against the Senju and Uzumaki, Izuna joins Madara and Mina among the conscripted children sent to the battlefield 12. He later returns from the front with twenty elite jonin, helps reinforce the damaged clan grounds, and is deeply angered by the casualties caused by the Senju–Uzumaki assault 19.

Izuna's concern for Madara becomes the catalyst for his Sharingan's advancement. On seeing his brother nearly destroyed by the recoil of Lightning Release: Heavenly Thunder, Izuna's grief and rage produce a third tomoe in each eye 33. He subsequently joins Mina in placing Madara under a fabricated genjutsu in which Izuna and Mina appear to be murdered by Mito; the ordeal provokes Madara's Mangekyo Sharingan awakening 36 37.

He later marries Mina and becomes part of Kosuke's household circle. Madara's demanding expectations remain a recurring source of pressure, particularly when he orders Izuna to improve his sealing techniques enough to turn the Nine-Tails into a summoning beast 46 49.

Following the Uchiha leadership restructuring, Madara appoints Izuna to manage diplomacy and clan mission assignments. Personality

Izuna is considerate from an early age, acting on his own initiative to care for Mina and Kosuke when they are left without attendants. His gentleness toward Mina and deference toward Aoba stand apart from the Uchiha clan's wartime atmosphere 3.

He is also excitable, curious, and occasionally naïve. He eagerly seeks instruction from Kosuke, misunderstands Kosuke's concern that Madara is lonely as a suggestion that Madara needs a romantic partner, and is easily flustered by Madara's harsh training demands 8 49 76.
