Background

Grass Hall is a secluded but exceptionally influential force centered on the Master and his disciples. The Master accepts disciples according to fate rather than prior contact; consequently, Chu Yun's identity as the Seventh Gentleman could be established before he had ever visited or received memories of the place. 113

Its disciples are known as Gentlemen and are regarded as a family. The group welcomes Chu Yun as its Seventh Master with a feast in the peach blossom forest, despite his unfamiliarity with most of his senior siblings. 298

Grass Hall's standing is largely concealed from the public. Chu Yun's connection to it was initially not publicly announced, but it later became known that he had close ties to the organization. 223 283

Grass Hall's mountain residence is outwardly simple, consisting of thatched houses and pavilions amid a peach blossom forest. Its unassuming setting contrasts with its inhabitants' strength. 113
