History

Founding Legacy and Imperial Ancestor Mountain

A Great Xia ancestor personally suppressed the Ten-Eyed Sky Demon beneath Imperial Ancestor Mountain. The victory cost him his life and half of the dynasty's destiny, leaving the Imperial Seal as the core artifact reinforcing the Demonic Cave's seal. This loss is cited as a major reason Great Xia later declined from a potential top-ten dynasty to a mid-tier one. 88 101

The Imperial Seal remains both a symbol of sovereign authority and a strategic vulnerability: the Zhanling Imperial Dynasty later covets it because of its connection to the Ten-Eyed Sky Demon's imprisonment. 91 101

Return of the Ninth Prince

Great Xia initially controls thirteen regions comparable in scale to Qingzhou, as well as dozens of commanderies. Its authority vastly exceeds local sects such as the Nine Splendor Sect. 2

After Chu Yun edits his identity into that of the long-missing Ninth Prince, bloodline jade pendants held by the Great Xia Emperor and Consort Shi react. The Emperor publicly announces his son's return and dispatches the Shadow Guards, led by Xuan Feng and Luo Feng, to retrieve him from Qingzhou. 2

Chu Yun's return destabilizes the imperial succession. His maternal Shi family is the dynasty's foremost family, and political observers believe that, had he not vanished, the Crown Prince position would not have gone to the First Prince. 12

Imperial Crisis and Succession

During the Great Xia Emperor's Five Decays of Heaven and Man, rival court factions prepare to exploit his absence and seize the Imperial City. The imperial family, Shi family, sects, and senior officials divide into competing camps. 88 94

Chu Yun ultimately exposes Imperial Clan Elder Chu Mu's role in his abduction, eliminates the Ten-Eyed Sky Demon threat, and oversees the purge of the Empress's faction. The Divine Sect, Blood God Sect, and Corpse Yin Sect are annihilated, while Meng Changzhong's officials stabilize the capital. 110

Following the crisis, the Great Xia Emperor abdicates in Chu Yun's favor. Chu Yun takes the dragon robe and Imperial Seal, becoming the new Chu Emperor; Wan Lei is appointed Imperial Advisor alongside Prime Minister Meng Changzhong. 111

Rise Over the Land of a Hundred Dynasties

Great Xia destroys the Zhanling Imperial Dynasty after it seeks the Imperial Seal and threatens war. Its territory and resources are claimed by Great Xia, while the destruction is publicly justified as punishment for attempting to steal the National Seal. 123

The Qianle Imperial Dynasty becomes a vassal after Emperor Chen Kang formally pledges allegiance to Great Xia. 128

When eight imperial dynasties invade Great Xia, its forces defeat the coalition at the border. Migration and Holy Land Expansion

Chu Yun orders the entire dynasty relocated to Flowing Cloud Holy Mountain in the Land of Holy Soil. Qian Sha uproots Great Xia's territory inside a colossal ice lotus and transports it across the sky, while the Inspection Bureaus left in the Hundred Dynasties continue operating. 217 220

After the Flowing Cloud Holy Land is annihilated, Great Xia claims its territory. The dynasty then compels four of the five leading Holy Lands to submit, while the Three Rivers Holy Land is destroyed. 213 255

Meng Ruoxue later unifies the top thirty Holy Lands under Great Xia while Chu Yun is away. Chu Yun subsequently prepares to relocate the dynasty again, this time to the Divine Continent Pure Land. 326

Final Transfer of Rule

After becoming a Creation Heavenly God and stabilizing the world's structure, Chu Yun relinquishes direct rule after eight hundred years. He hands the Great Xia Dynasty to his eldest son, Chu Tian, and leaves to travel with his family. 926
