Dragonstone, the castle.

Rain pattered down as armored soldiers poured out from all four sides of the castle.

Viserys sat alone in the dim castle hall, listening to the rain with a solemn gaze.

The doors to the castle hall opened.

Soaked from head to toe, Rhaenyra strode in.

"Is there any news of Rhaegar?" Viserys asked in a low voice.

Rhaenyra said dejectedly, "Some fishermen saw a pitch-black dragon flying out over the Narrow Sea."

"Send for more men. Gather everyone in the castle and send out every ship on the island that can put to sea." Viserys's expression shifted as he let out a deep sigh.

He had already discovered the identity of the pitch-black dragon.

It was the largest and oldest wild dragon on the island.

It often stole Young Dragons and dragon eggs, earning it the name Cannibal from the fishermen.

It was an exceptionally vicious black dragon.

Rhaegar was only a six-year-old child. The odds of him taming Cannibal were too low.

All they could do now was pray that Cannibal's preference for human flesh would let Rhaegar escape with his life.

Rhaenyra wiped the water from her face and said dazedly, "Everyone we can spare has already been sent out. I've also had a ship prepared to return to King's Landing."

"Return to King's Landing?" Viserys looked at her in confusion.

Rhaenyra's face was full of worry. "If there's no news of Rhaegar by tonight, I'll return to King's Landing, claim Syrax, and search for that black dragon."

"That's not a good idea. That black dragon is far larger than Syrax. You and your dragon would only become its food."

Viserys was perfectly clearheaded and immediately rejected the suggestion.

"If it comes to that, I'll kill the wild dragon," Rhaenyra insisted.
