Time turned back just a little.

On the Lunar-class Cruiser.

"I am ready."

Sibyl scanned her surroundings and spoke to the Adeptus Custodes.

To better rain the Divine Emperor's wrath upon those Traitors, she had tested a multitude of psychic spells, confirming that she was in peak condition.

Leonardo gripped the new weapon he had just acquired—a freshly forged Guardian Spear—and stroked it gently, a sense of nostalgia welling up in his heart.

"I am as well."

Just a short while ago, Lord Rowan had casually transformed him into a Reality Warper.

Having become a Reality Warper, he could not command the infinite, overwhelming power that Sibyl and Lucia drew from prying open the Warp, but if he used this ability to reinforce the Machine Spirit of his Alarius Terminator Armor and Guardian Spear, Leonardo was certainly capable of that.

"By the way, where is Lord Rowan? Why is he not here?"

"I am here."

From nearby, Lord Rowan's voice drifted over from a distance.

His figure manifested in the distance and he walked over, with Lucia still by his side, acting as his personal guard and following his every step.

"Wait, what is that?"

Sibyl seemed to have seen something and paused slightly.

She saw a strange-looking... cannon, following automatically behind Lord Rowan.

"Oh, this is just an idea I had."

Lord Rowan explained casually, "Although our team's strength is more than enough to board the Chaos Astartes ship, it might get tricky if the enemy brings out heavy vehicles to block our path."

"So, I took a stroll through the armory where the Astra Militarum weapons are stored, and, praise the Emperor, I actually found a Leman Russ Executioner!"

He patted the self-propelled cannon beside him firmly, wearing an expression of absolute confidence.

Sibyl and Leonardo looked at each other.

They had roughly realized what had happened, and after staring at the bizarre-looking cannon for a moment, they said in unison, "You... you dismantled the main gun from that tank?"

"That's right."

Lord Rowan nodded, "I stripped the Ryza-pattern Plasma Main Cannon, welded it onto the chassis of a Quad-lascannon, and used my Reality Warping Ability to bring it along. I think this thing's firepower is definitely going to be punchy."

"Fine then..."

Even the well-traveled Leonardo had never seen such a sight. He clicked his tongue and said, "If the followers of the Omnissiah saw this, how should I put it... this incredibly bold modification, they would definitely emit a shrill binary shriek."

"Heh, let them."

Lord Rowan said dismissively, "Everything is ready. Begin the teleportation."

"As you command."

Hearing the order, Sibyl immediately drew her Force Sword, and vast psychic energy gathered around her.

With a powerful swing, a massive Warp Rift appeared before them. The interior of the rift shimmered with a deep, undulating blue light, as if waves were churning within.

"Let's go, it's time for the show to begin!"

Without a shred of hesitation, the four of them filed in one after another, passing through the rift.

Upon entering the Warp, Lord Rowan closed his eyes and promptly reined in all his perceptions to avoid accidentally triggering his Reality Warping Ability and causing excessive interference with the teleportation.

The transit through the Warp did not last long; almost the next moment, the white light of the teleportation faded away.

Returning to the material universe, Lord Rowan felt his brain reel, slightly disoriented.

He had barely regained his footing when he saw Lucia and Leonardo transform into two hurricane-like currents, surging out from his sides and sweeping through the space with reckless abandon.

Immediately following, the sound of weapons whistling through the air, heavy impacts, bodies hitting the floor, blood spraying, and screams intertwined instantly, never ceasing.

By the time Lord Rowan had fully recovered his senses and looked around, the original Teleportation Chamber was already in shambles, with mangled fragments scattered everywhere, forming a scene akin to a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.

All the enemies who had been in the room just moments ago, whether they were Space Marines or mortal cultists, were no different; under the combined efforts of the Living Saint and the Adeptus Custodes, they had quickly become decorations on the floor.

"Let me see."

Sibyl, who had not yet had the chance to strike, waved her hand lightly, and a Chaos Astartes head that was still rolling on the ground floated into the air.

Threads of psy-lightning flew from her fingertips, piercing the surface, and the brain inside was scorched to charcoal under the force of the violent psychic energy.

About two seconds later, Sibyl retracted her psychic energy and said, "I have obtained the general internal layout of this Strike Cruiser. There are two options now: first, head directly to the Bridge to decapitate the leader of this Chaos War Band;

Second, head to the Warp Engine to destroy this ship. Both routes will achieve our goal."

"...Choose the first one, let's go to the Bridge."

Lord Rowan made his decision immediately, "With our current strength, taking out a Chaos War Band leader should be a simple task. If we go to destroy the Warp Engine, we'll have to hold back; we'd fear causing too much damage and getting caught in the explosion ourselves, and we'd have to guard against the enemy going desperate and taking us down with them. It would be more trouble than it's worth."

No one had any objections and they all agreed with the decision.

With the discussion concluded, the four people plus one self-propelled cannon formed a combat formation and walked out the door of the Teleportation Chamber.

As they advanced, Sibyl quickly and efficiently shared the intelligence she had extracted from the Chaos Astartes' brain with the others, with high efficiency.

From this, everyone gained a general understanding of the situation regarding this Chaos War Band.

"That Chaos Lord is actually a Dark Apostle?"

Leonardo frowned slightly and immediately suggested, "We must be cautious. These Chaos heretics are most adept at all manner of Warp rituals; we must remain vigilant."

"Understood. These wicked tricks shall shatter beneath our blades, for the Divine Emperor guides our path."

Lucia spoke in a calm, steady tone.

Marching through the corridors of a ship almost entirely corrupted by Chaos was clearly not a pleasant experience.

The blood covering the floor was like paint, staining the interior of the corridor a deep, vivid red. The air was thick with a scent that carried a strange, eerie fragrance and warmth, inexplicably reminiscent of the gentle caress of a maiden's hand.

Along both sides of the path, a vast array of bizarre artworks and sculptures were displayed, coated in the blood-like "paint." Their hollow eye sockets appeared all the more demonic, as if the sculptures possessed life and were secretly spying on Rowan and the others as they passed.

Although this Chaos Strike Cruiser appeared far more "vibrant" than a normal vessel, to Rowan, it resembled a bloated, dead corpse drifting through the sea of stars, and those sculptures were nothing more than maggots rotting and festering within it.

After traveling through the corridor for several minutes, relying on their superhuman senses, the group could now faintly hear a dense, overlapping cacophony of footsteps approaching from the distance, rapidly closing in on the squad!
