The moment Rowan finished speaking, a string named sanity snapped in Yarrick's mind.

A Rose Rosary was a talisman in the literal sense of the word. Though small, it contained a powerful deflector shield generator that protected its wearer from attacks.

Its defensive power was even enough to keep its wearer alive under fire from a Plasma Weapon.

Generally speaking, this sort of equipment could only be seen on people of high rank and authority, such as senior members of the Ecclesiarchy, Sister Superiors of the Battle Sisters, Lord Inquisitors, Space Marine Chaplains, and the like.

Yarrick would have sworn that before today, he had never imagined that such a rare talisman could be counted in the tens of thousands.

Rowan, meanwhile, remained perfectly calm.

What was this compared to what he could do?

When his Reality Warping Ability created objects, it didn't care about the material they were made of or how intricate their design was. It was much simpler and more brute-force: volume and mass.

That was also why Rowan still couldn't use his Reality Warping Ability to conjure a Gloriana-class Battleship out of thin air with his bare hands.

But tiny, delicate Rose Rosaries? As long as he wanted to, he could churn out piles of them with ease.

What?

You said the materials were rare and the parts too precise to mass-produce?

He didn't understand. Take it up with his Reality Warping Ability!

"This sort of thing, we... really..."

Yarrick struggled to force a few words from his throat, but he couldn't manage to string them together.

He could no longer even begin to guess what sort of person Rowan was.

"What do you think? With these supplies to support you, do you have enough confidence to retake this fallen Hive City?"

Rowan asked.

"Of course. I give you my word."

Yarrick's expression turned solemn. "Now, I have absolute confidence."

What a joke.

With conditions like these—conditions he wouldn't even dare dream of—if he still couldn't complete the mission, he might as well quit being an Imperial Commissar, raise his Bolter, and pull the trigger against his own head. That would be simpler and more direct.

At least that way, he wouldn't waste the Imperium's resources.

"Good. But I imagine you'll need some time for your armored regiment to get used to this equipment."

Rowan nodded, then continued, "Once the right moment arrives, you can attack."

"The right moment?"

At the mention of military matters, Yarrick's mind quickly recovered from the shock.

What did he mean?

Just as he was about to ask, a flash of insight crossed his mind.

Yarrick suddenly noticed a detail he hadn't paid attention to before.

"That Psyker Inquisitor is gone. Could it be...?"

"You guessed right."

Rowan nodded.

"I gave her a mission. She's to sneak into that Hive City and try to destroy the Orks' artillery positions inside."

"If she succeeds, we can charge straight into the Hive City as quickly as possible without suffering any losses."

"True, but that's an extremely dangerous mission."

Yarrick frowned. "Forgive me for saying so, but we already have a huge advantage. There's no need to send an Inquisitor into danger."

"Don't worry. You don't know how strong she is. And her mission is only to destroy the artillery positions, not assassinate the Ork Warboss."

Rowan was confident. "I believe Sibyl will do a good job."

Inside the Hive City.

Sibyl held a Force Sword as she strolled along the long streets forged from steel.

She looked around. The Imperial-style machinery and structures had all been replaced by Ork designs. The many symbols of the Ecclesiarchy, the double-headed eagle, and all sorts of other insignia had been torn down or painted over. The crowds that had once filled the streets were gone, replaced by Ork Boyz who roamed the avenues with all kinds of guns in hand, howling with excitement.

The reason she hadn't been discovered was that a faint black mist swirled around her, completely concealing her figure.

This was the psychic spell "Veil of Night," an extremely effective concealment spell.

By gathering the power of the Warp, Psykers could hide themselves and their allies beneath a flowing veil of shadow, keeping them out of their enemies' sight.

Actually, Sibyl had never learned this spell before.

She had merely recalled the Warp fluctuations produced when other Psykers used it, then mastered it in just over ten minutes.

All of this was thanks to the astonishing power wielded by the Emperor's Contractor she had met.

That power, known as Reality Warping, was something even the Inquisitor's experience couldn't begin to comprehend. It made all Warp fluctuations seem utterly tamed, letting her control them as effortlessly as her own limbs.

It had once been a dream she wouldn't have dared imagine. Now it was the undeniable truth.

The Inquisitor moved through the steel jungle, nimbly slipping past the Ork Boyz. Using her psychic senses, she easily avoided every high-ranking Ork unit that might see through her disguise.

Before long, guided by her psychic power, Sibyl arrived beside an open stretch of steel.

On the open ground, one enormous artillery barrel after another pointed toward the sky, arranged in neat rows. Even Sibyl, an Inquisitor, couldn't name the guns. Around them, Mekboyz bustled about, some adjusting equipment, others maintaining various machines.

Beyond the artillery positions, countless Ork sentries patrolled. Their vigilance was completely unlike the Orks' usual disorder; even a human commander would have been impressed.

But to Sibyl, all of this was no obstacle.

Sibyl began to think.

She could certainly attack right away. Her raging Alpha-level psychic power would be more than enough to flatten the entire position with ease.

But doing so would undoubtedly reveal her presence and draw a horde of Orks down on her. At that point, Sibyl would probably have no choice but to use Warp teleportation to escape the battlefield.

But destroying just one artillery position was nowhere near enough.

There were plenty of other artillery positions scattered throughout the Hive City. Her mission was to destroy as much of the Orks' firepower as possible.

So she had to find a way to throw the Orks into brief confusion without immediately putting them on alert.

Fortunately, the Inquisitor had come prepared.

Psychic light flared in Sibyl's eyes, and two dazzling beams flashed and vanished.

Not far away, an Ork Boy clutching a Big Boom suddenly widened his eyes. The same light shone in them.

It was under her control.

Under Sibyl's control, the Ork Boy staggered over to an empty corner. Then Sibyl tore open the Veil of Night and appeared in front of it, making it open its mouth.

The next moment, the Inquisitor pulled an item from her pocket.

It was a tin can covered in colorful designs, with several lines of red text:

["Antelope Beef, a Departmento Munitorum product."]

["Must be roasted over a flame for four full days before consumption. The Departmento Munitorum accepts no responsibility for the consumer's safety if this warning is ignored."]

Using invisible Psychic Power, she tore open the can. Then, quick as a flash, she stuffed the antelope beef inside into the Ork Boy's mouth.
