Background and History
Long Haochen grows up close to his elder brother, Long Xuanye, who cares for him when he is ill, shields him from bullies, and teaches him by example. After their separation, Haochen trains under his father, Long Xingyu, chiefly because he wants to find and save Xuanye 33 58 79.
Xingyu falsely tells him that Xuanye has become a bloodthirsty demon and frames killing him as a way to grant him “peace.” Haochen accepts the burden, but his memories of his gentle brother later leave him convinced that there must be a misunderstanding 33 94.
At the border, Haochen leads fellow trial-takers away from a demon encirclement, then plans to return alone to warn and rescue others. He later commands the defense of Odin Town. His contracted companion Haoyue destroys a Demon God Pillar during the battle 94 97 121.
After Xingyu attacks him at the Demon Subduing Army’s main camp and takes his bloodline power, Haochen argues that his father must be under another being’s control. He vows to save him if possible—and stop him if not. Haochen subsequently approaches Xingyu during Austin Griffin’s ascension ritual, hoping to reach him through their bond 430 431 433 437 442.
Haochen’s attempt fails. Already severely wounded, he becomes the vessel for Austin Griffin’s core consciousness. Heaven’s Condemnation transforms his body as he ascends the stairway, and the transformation into the God of Destruction is completed 449 451 452.

He is also persistent in training and receptive to criticism. After Xuan Ye exposes flaws in his techniques during their match, Haochen repeatedly adjusts them instead of giving up 33 163.
