Background / History

Long Xingyu reunited with Bai Yue and the twin boys Long Xuanye and Long Haochen in Odin Town two years earlier than expected. He became fixated on the Demon God Emperor’s bloodline within the family and regarded Haochen as a weapon to cultivate against the Demon God Emperor. Xuanye’s wariness and unusual maturity made Long Xingyu consider him a future threat. 1 15

To remove that threat, he drugged Bai Yue and Long Haochen into unconsciousness, prepared a trap intended to cripple Xuanye’s Spiritual Power, and arranged for a peak first-tier Shadow Leopard to kill him in the forest. When Xuanye did not return, Long Xingyu assumed he had been devoured by Demonic Beasts. 1

He later concealed the attempted murder from Long Haochen. Instead, he claimed that Xuanye was an adopted “demon seed” who had gone berserk, slaughtered innocents, and defected to the Demon Race. Long Xingyu used this false account to push Haochen into harsher training. 15 33

Long Xingyu devoted immense resources to Haochen’s growth: cultivation materials, Spirit Crystals, purified Light Spirit Liquid, personal instruction, and his complete understanding of the Knight’s path. Though he framed the effort as defending humanity, he also intended Haochen to replace him in killing Xuanye if necessary. 58

Appearance

Long Xingyu is a handsome, dignified man with sharp brows, bright eyes, and the imposing bearing of a Seal Knight. His expression can soften around Bai Yue and Long Haochen, but becomes cold or brutal when confronting Xuanye. 29 156 314

Personality

Long Xingyu is devoted to the Human Race’s survival and has spent much of his life defending its front lines. Even after his apparent rampage, Yang Haohan emphasizes his long record of sacrifice and protection of humanity. 452

In personal matters, however, he is paranoid, controlling, and prideful. His fear of the Demon God Emperor’s bloodline drives him to abandon Xuanye, deceive Haochen, repeatedly pursue Xuan Ye, and interpret evidence through the assumption that Xuanye is a demonic threat. 1 33 96 235

His need to preserve his honor and authority often overrides restraint. Public humiliation by Xuan Ye, Yang Haohan, Saint Moon, and others intensifies his fixation rather than changing his conduct. 113 237 238 280

Abandonment of Long Xuanye

Long Xingyu sets the central conflict in motion by attempting to eliminate Xuanye in Odin Town. He removes Bai Yue and Haochen from danger, drugs them unconscious, and leaves a Demonic Beast trap for Xuanye. 1

Haochen’s Weaponization

After Xuanye disappears, Long Xingyu trains Haochen with exceptional resources and severe methods. He presents Xuanye as humanity’s enemy while intending to forge Haochen into a weapon against both the Demon God Emperor and his brother. 33 58

Pursuit of Xuan Ye

Long Xingyu repeatedly encounters Xuan Ye after the latter returns to Human territory. Despite Xuan Ye’s battlefield contributions, Long Xingyu treats his strength, bloodline, and association with Cai’er as proof of danger. 110 225 226

His attempts to capture or kill Xuan Ye repeatedly fail. Xuan Ye breaks his wrist, defeats him while empowered by Ilex, seals his throne projection, and uses undead Demon Gods to exhaust him without killing him. 113 226 268 272 280

Exposure and Fall from Grace

When Xuan Ye touches a Demon God Pillar, Long Xingyu declares him a Demon Race spy and attempts to execute him. The pillar instead disintegrates under Xuan Ye’s Heaven’s Punishment Power, exposing Long Xingyu’s judgment as catastrophically wrong. 235 237

Bai Yue later reveals that she is Feng Xiu’s daughter and that both Xuanye and Haochen are Long Xingyu’s biological sons. Cai’er exposes Long Xingyu’s childhood attempt on Xuanye’s life, leading to his public disgrace, forced apology, and repeated kowtowing. 365 366 368

Possession and Death

Austin Griffin eventually possesses Long Xingyu, turning the former Seal Knight into a vessel that devours bloodlines and massacres human civilians for power. 446 451

During the final confrontation, Long Xingyu briefly overcomes the possession. Rejecting Austin Griffin’s attempt to use his body to plead for mercy, he charges into Xuan Ye’s blade and dies with Austin Griffin. 462 463
