"Qingyi was just with me, but in the blink of an eye, she vanished." Jiang Keyin was panicking too.
"Where were the guards assigned to protect her?" Jiang Yuyu hurriedly asked. He had specifically instructed those guards to protect Wenren Qingyi without leaving her side, so how had she disappeared?
One look at the number of guards told him something was wrong as well.
"They're gone too. I searched all around, but I couldn't find them." Jiang Keyin was so anxious she was nearly in tears.
"Could Qingyi have seen something fun and run off?" Jiang Yuyu said.
Wenren Lingmeng was anxious too. Her younger sister had gone missing—how could she not be? Yet she did not panic. "No. I know Qingyi. She would never do something like that. At the very least, she would have told Keyin. She wouldn't have just run off like that."
Jiang Keyin nodded. "Sister Qingyi had been with me the whole time. She couldn't have left without a word, and now there isn't even a trace of her."
Jiang Yuyu's expression turned grave as well. Unease rose within him, and he realized this was no simple matter.
"Keyin, return to the residence with Princess Lingmeng at once. See whether Qingyi went back because she couldn't find us. If Qingyi isn't there, immediately have Uncle Mo send people out, and strengthen the residence's defenses. You and Princess Lingmeng must not come out again. Stay safely in the residence."
At that moment, he vaguely sensed something. Keeping Wenren Lingmeng and Jiang Keyin in the residence was the safest course of action.
"What about you?" Jiang Keyin asked.
"Zibai and I will search for Qingyi. Also, notify the patrolling guards and seal off the surrounding area. All right, hurry back. Be careful."
"Okay." Jiang Keyin nodded frantically.
